CONFIRMED: Trump won't take part in Fox's GOP debate

I guess this is what Trump said today "that I know a lot about Megyn Kelly." I guess he wishes that she were on her knees........

Maybe she is but Trump don't care. Mr. Trump has Mrs. Trump waiting for him back at the Penthouse. That doesn't seem like much of a decision.

Actually this article is wrong about one thing, if elected Trump does get to pick the reporters, his White House Press office picks who gets what interviews with who in the executive branch, they choose who to credential for executive branch events, and they can talk to the reporters they wish to. I don't consider this a tantrum on Trump's part but it remains to see how it will play out. Not playing their game is the only real leverage he has.

UPDATE: Here is the snarky press release FOX put out earlier:
The Wrap reported:

“We learned from a secret back channel that the Ayatollah and Putin both intend to treat Donald Trump unfairly when they meet with him if he becomes president,” Fox News said in the statement, adding this gem: “A nefarious source tells us that Trump has his own secret plan to replace the Cabinet with his Twitter followers to see if he should even go to those meetings.”

Seriously?!?! An international news agency released an official comment like that??? Is this for real or from The Onion?

Sorry Fox, you blew it. Not only with this release but also the fact that YOUR number one will be missing, your viewership will be missing and your revenue will be missing. Fair and balanced? I think not!

I haven't watched what everyone terms a debate since the first go around with Kelly & Co. This is NOT a debate. It's a question and answer session with an eye on ratings. It's all about the ratings. So I guess in effect, I have been doing my own boycott! A real debate would have the same question put to each candidate with a period of rebuttal. First debate there were too many on the freakin' stage to do that.

Edited to add: One thing I have noted is that Trump leads and the rest follow. First it was the border fence to keep out the illegals. The rest of the field were all saying, we can't do that. It's not what we are. When Trumps poll numbers went up, they all started to say put up the fence to keep out illegals. When Trump said, he would stop muslims from entering the country until we can half way assure the people that we are trying to keep out the bad guys, the rest of the field said we can't do that. It's not who we are. When Trump's numbers rose from that, they all started to say maybe we should attempt to keep out the bad guys. Now Trump is pretty much telling msm to stick it where the sun don't shine. Some of the rest of the field (Jebbie) are saying you can't do that and quit being a baby. When Trumps numbers go up again, they'll all start telling the media to stick it too. Trump has and is redefining elections.

These things are good to know. My only thought was, he's going to need an army to stop all these neg. forces. Then I remembered he's already got one.

When you get five thousand to 30,000 at every rally it is a movement. (Trumps words ) not to mention all the vets he's trying to help and how about the police force all across the country? And people are contacting him everywhere that want to be a part
of this movement. Yep, he's been planning this a very long time, but it had to be at the right moment. At least I think that's what's happening. Every thing he does is now making sense. I can't keep up with him. (LOL)

I respectfully disagree.

You talk it, you walk it.

If you can't handle Fox News, you can't handle Vladimir Putin (who is winning in Syria, btw).

This is about manning up and growing a pair.

And I don't mean breasts, I mean balls.

Trump is showing weakness and he is about to get 24 hours of being HAMMERED for this.

Well I disagree (also)....I think his poll numbers will rise now....wait and see folks. ;)

Things are getting very interesting. Beck endorses Cruz, his extremes who had no use for snake oil salesman are ok with it. MK tweets/brags how she is going to take out trump, the Cruz seals clap. MK then has Moore on, handshake, Cruz seals seem ok with it because she "took" care of Trump.

Now we have Christian conservatives pointing fingers at Trump and his supports. They are claiming the mantle that if you do not support their guy, you are neither Christian or conservative.

Watching those who claim they want everybody to accept Christ and repent, is painful. Their attempt at defining God according to their interpretation is not being Christian. David is the perfect example.

Trump, win or lose has exposed what a lot of us have speculated on whats behind the curtain. Trump has seal his place in history win or lose. I believe Trump started planning this campaign when Romney stopped campaigning the last cycle.

Why in the world would Donald Trump put up with such a hateful moderator!

Megyn Kelly appears to be a spoiled actress who can not handle it when she doesn't get her way.

Megyn Kelly's OBSESSIVE hate for Donald Trump and his Supporters

Does Megyn Kelly have an unhealthy obsession hatred for Donald Trump and Trump Supporters? Judge for yourself.

Yay! No debate! I am going to watch the benefit for the veterans/Wounded Warriors though as I'm married to one! It's going to be interesting! I'm wondering if he will have any country music performers show up in support and to perform? I just figure...it IS Trump...he WILL do something big not something halfway!
I voted NO on the Greta poll. It stands at 81.09% NO, 18.91% YES as of my vote.

Hoping this will embed itself. This is why Donald has the vote. This is why he knows he will win. This is also why he can tell Fox news to stuff their debate where the sun don't shine.......

Kelly invited Michael Moore on her show last night and they giggled and laughed at Trump together.
To those who say Trump can't get Mexico to build the wall, consider that he got Michael Moore to come on Fox and endorse Fox News, and him and Kelly practically had a make out session on nightly Fox news. :shk:

Michael Moore: ‘God Bless You Megyn Kelly’ — ‘War on Women’ Question to Trump Was ‘Great’

Filmmaker Michael Moore told Fox News Channel anchor Megyn Kelly “You asked a great question [to Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump], by the way. The war on women. God bless you Megyn Kelly” on Tuesday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “The Kelly File.”

Moore began by addressing Trump skipping on the FNC debate, saying, “I feel bad for you.” And “What’s he afraid of? I’m sitting here. I don’t feel any fear. … Donald, come now, come sit beside me, I’ll hold your hand. She’s fine.”
He also told Kelly that she had frightened Trump and “made him run, shut him down.” Something no candidate had done.

Moore ended the interview with, “And before I leave, I just want to say again, Roger Ailes, Rupert Murdoch, it’s pp to get elected president in this country, you have to come on this network. You have to play ball with this network. Donald Trump today said I’m not playing ball with this network. That’s a historic moment, and it’s going to be interesting to see where the real power is. Trump thinks he doesn’t need Fox News. I think Fox News probably has something else to say about that. And it’ll be interesting to see where do the powers that be go with this?”
He then said to Kelly, “You asked a great question, by the way. The war on women. God bless you Megyn Kelly.”

Moore said of Obama, “I wrote to him and I said you’ve got to get off the dime here and do some of the things we elected you to do, because it’s not going to be enough in the history books to say the big claim to fame is that you were the first African-American president. That’s an important thing, but we need you to do some other things for us, and we need you to do it before your term ends.”

He elaborated on Obama, stating, “I would have wished we had a single-payer healthcare system, not Obamacare, something that would be for everybody. … he had two years actually, where he had the House and the Senate, and he decided to play nice and get along and he thought the Republicans were going to get along with him and they had no intention of doing that.”

Moore added, “Guantanamo Bay should be closed by now.” He later said of Obama, “I’m very happy that we’ve had him for these eight years, believe me, after what we had before that.”

When asked if there were any Republican candidates he would get behind, Moore responded, “I would get behind all of them and take them — and push them somewhere.” He added, “[M]y grandfather was the head of the Republican Party in the town that I grew up in. And — yes, but back then, a conservative meant that you conserved your money, you had family values, you had — you conserved the earth, the air, the water, God’s gifts to us. That’s what Republicans believed back then, and those days seem to be gone. I know it’s hard for Republicans who have those feelings, and they have nowhere really to go right now.”

Moore was also asked about criticisms that he dislikes America. He answered, “I don’t get that, because one of the great things about being an American in great this country is the ability to criticize what’s going on and try to make it better.” And “I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. This is the best country to live in. What I want us to do is to aspire to be better. And what we’ve done is, we’ve helped these European countries since World War II. They have gone ahead and done some great things, in terms of helping their people, paid maternity leave, school lunches are not crap on a Styrofoam tray.”

Wonder if FOX took the page down. This is what it says now...

Something has gone wrong...

It seems you clicked on a bad link and stumbled upon our 404 page

Yeah, I wonder what all the comments were? I'd imagine that Fox discovered that they made a bad mistake. Probably figured that most people are going to be molded into what they want them to think. By the poll percentages of those who responded with 80% of those that bothered to go to the Fox website now saying that they won't watch the debate Fox might be getting an education tonight.

Love it! I don't like Trump and never really did but again, he represents a giant middle finger of the Republican base that are sick and tired of promises made and never kept.

FLASHBACK: Ronald Reagan Skipped Last Debate Before IA Caucus – Went on to Win in Landslide

Jim Hoft Jan 27th, 2016 7:57 am 209 Comments

On Tuesday night Donald Trump and the Trump campaign announced that GOP frontrunner Trump will skip the FOX News GOP Primary debate this week in Iowa.

Trump is not the first Republican candidate to skip a debate.

Ronald Reagan skipped the Republican debate ahead of the 1980 Iowa caucus.

Bloomberg reported:

Trump isn’t the first top-tier presidential candidate to skip a debate. Ronald Reagan did not attend a Republican debate ahead of the 1980 Iowa caucuses, which he lost to George H.W. Bush. Reagan went on to the win the nomination and the presidency.

Reagan went on to win in a landslide.

Fox has been thoroughly outed as just as progressive as the other MSM. They are just trying to pretend that they are otherwise for market share.

Fox viewership will go down. I will be interested in their ratings going forward.

But that does not mean that people will watch the others. People will just gravitate more to the internet.

I love this tune and it is played constantly on Savage Nation which is streamed by conservativestream.com

I've been trying to find out the artist on this one for weeks and it drove me nuts as I could not find anything on. This guy has another catchy tune which I hope becomes available.

What a great tune for Donald.

I voted and it was up to 83.66% no, meaning "I won't watch the debate." I think it's a good move. He's got a much better alternative than the debate, helping veterans. If he did nothing, it would be a bad move, but veterans is a great move.

'Donald Trump feud causes panicking Fox News CEO Roger Ailes to call Ivanka and Melania in attempt to get the frontrunner BACK to the debate - but he'll only speak to Murdoch
Donald Trump's refusal to attend Fox News' debate on Thursday night has sent Fox News into chaos
The network's CEO has reportedly reached out to both Ivanka and Melania Trump to try and get the Republican front-runner to change his mind
He refuses to attend over the inclusion of anchor Megyn Kelly as one of the debate moderators and will only speak to network head Rupert Murdoch
Kelly meanwhile welcomed liberal filmmaker Michael Moore on her program Tuesday night who applauded her handling of the Trump feud
he Fox News and Donald Trump feud is heating up now that the Republican front-runner has announced he will not be attending the network's debate Thursday night over the presence of anchor Megyn Kelly.

And while the network appears to be publicly siding with Kelly, who is still set to moderate Thursday's debate, the network is also reportedly trying to privately plead with Trump the best way they know how - through the women in his life.

Joe Scarborough revealed on Morning Joe Wednesday morning that Fox News CEO Roger Ailes had been trying to contact both Ivanka and Melania Trump hoping they could convince Trump to change his mind, but that Trump would only speak to Rupert Murdoch.

Kelly meanwhile welcomed a surprisingly liberal guest on her program Tuesday night, Michael Moore.

The documentary filmmaker was there to promote his new film Where to Invade Next?, but also took time to applaud Kelly and ask how she was dealing with the very public feud between her and Trump while mocking the presidential hopeful over his refusal to attend the debate.

Meanwhile, Trump's campaign manager Corey Lewandowski continued with their unified attack on Kelly Wednesday morning during an appearance on Good Morning America saying that the anchor is 'completely obsessed' with the presidential hopeful.

Troubles: Donald Trump's refusal to attend Fox News' debate on Thursday night has sent Fox News into chaos and network CEO Roger Ailes reaching out to Ivanka and Melania Trump (Trumps above in December 2012)
Reason: Trump refuses to attend over the inclusion of anchor Megyn Kelly (above) as one of the debate moderators

Moore also offered Kelly the ultimate compliment about her feud with Trump on her program Tuesday when he said; 'In all seriousness, let me say this, you’ve done something that Jeb Bush, Chris Christie, Rubio, Cruz - none of them have been able to do. Which is to, essentially, frighten him.'
Not looking good: Ailes' (above) inability to get Trump to debate on Thursday could mean major problems for the CEO

Then, in a move that no doubt left many viewers shocked, Moore appeared to ask Kelly out on a date, saying; 'I was thinking I was maybe going to have to, like, take you out to dinner afterwards. We could talk. You could emote … get it out. I’m here for you.'

New York's Gabe Sherman is reporting that Moore's appearance on Kelly's show had some at the network fuming, with one of her fellow anchor's noting; 'That would be like Rachel Maddow laughing along with Charles Koch as he trashed Hillary Clinton!'

Some at the conservative network seem to be angry that Kelly has now undeniably become the face of Fox News, something which was recently cemented with her appearance on the cover of Vanity Fair.

She has said little about Trump, while he of course has continued to bash her in public and on social media, writing Wednesday morning; 'I refuse to call Megyn Kelly a bimbo, because that would not be politically correct. Instead I will only call her a lightweight reporter!'

Trump meanwhile is refusing calls from Ailes and will only speak to the man at the very top - News Corporation founder Murdoch.

Scarborough said on Morning Joe Wednesday; 'Per our sources, Roger Ailes was calling Ivanka, he was trying to get in touch with Trump, he was calling Melania, people that he's got a good relationship with, they love Roger. They have a great respect for him.

'But at this point, Trump's only gonna talk to Rupert, and they're going to figure it out.'

Murdoch is not being shy about chasing someone to join the race for president - Michael Bloomberg.
FOX NEWS RESPONSE TO TRUMP

'We learned from a secret back channel that the Ayatollah and Putin both intend to treat Donald Trump unfairly when they meet with him if he becomes president — a nefarious source tells us that Trump has his own secret plan to replace the Cabinet with his Twitter followers to see if he should even go to those meetings.'

He wrote on Twitter Wednesday; 'This is Bloomberg's last chance. You never know until your hat is in the ring! Events change everything, especially during elections.'

He also went after Google, who is co-hosting the debate, in a series of tweets, saying they do not pay fair taxes.

It is not clear if Murdoch has spoken to Trump but the entire situation could spell trouble for Ailes.

'The CEO earned Murdoch's trust because Fox generates $1 billion in profit, but also because he was always in control. But in recent months Murdoch has been attending news meetings at Fox in the wake of a health scare that forced Ailes to take an extended leave of absence,' writes Sherman.

'Succession planning at Fox is very much on Murdoch's agenda. If Ailes loses his grip on the Trump situation - and right now it looks like he is - Murdoch will have another reason to worry about the stability of his most valuable asset.'

Lewandowski pointed out the major problem the network is facing during his appearance on Good Morning America Wednesday, saying; 'My guess is that people who bought advertising time thinking that Donald Trump was going to be on the stage are going to be very disappointed when nobody decides to watch that GOP debate.'

That's funny about Ailes; I wonder what Trump's wife and daughter told him. Here's an additional bit of interest:

Fox News Statement Taunting Trump Was ‘100 Percent’ Roger Ailes
[sniip]
In a further challenge to Ailes's power, Bill O'Reilly is scheduled to host Trump. Last night, Ailes directed Sean Hannity to cancel Trump's interview. O'Reilly's refusal to abide by a ban adds a new dynamic to the clash of egos. For O'Reilly, this is an opportunity to take back star power from Kelly. Sources say O'Reilly feels he made Kelly's career by promoting her on his show, and he's been furious that Kelly surpassed him in the ratings.

Meanwhile, Fox producers are scrambling with the practical matter of how to program the debate without Trump. "Right now, it is about how the moderators handle Trump," one producer said. "They do not want to be seen either directly criticizing him since he's not there, and they don't want to seem like they are drumming up criticism by letting the candidates attack Trump rather than stake out their own positions and debate one another. For all the talk of the optics right now, the bigger issue is how to program a debate without the front-runner. Remember, Fox may be a political machine, but it is still a damn good television programmer."

Google and Fox TV Invite Anti-Trump, Hitler-Citing, Muslim Advocate to Join Next GOP TV-Debate
Fox News and Google have invited three YouTube personalities to ask questions at the Jan. 28 GOP debate — including a Muslim advocate who describes Donald Trump as a bigot and who visually portrayed him as being in agreement with national socialist Adolf Hitler.

“We have a presidential candidate whose loudest message reeks of hatred and Islamophobia… turning on the news now is scary, and oftentimes, humiliating,” the Muslim woman, Nabela Noor, says in a December YouTube video.

http://www.breitbart.com/2016-presidential-race/2016/01/26/2868743/

This is the Muslim Fox Invited to Question Trump at Debate - Fox Showing True Colors
She admits to becoming a Muslim political activist amid the growing criticism of Islam’s doctrines. “The current social environment for Muslims today is not safe or just… as a Muslim American, I felt like I needed to use my voice,” she claimed.

Noor also urged her YouTube viewers to rally against critics of Islam. “I’m so thankful for those who speak up and out against anti-Islamic speech and ideologies. Our community needs more allies like you, but we have a long way to go,” she said.
