Well, she's popular on youtube with her makeup and fashion tips ... why ISN'T she qualified to comment publically about national politics? (snark)

Why A Fashion Vlogger Decided To Open Up About Her Muslim Faith
Nabela Noor is using her platform to educate and inspire.

Vlogger Nabela Noor typically fills her popular YouTube channel with makeup tutorials, DIY hacks and fashion tips. But in December, Noor opened up to her nearly 143,000 subscribers about something quite different.

The YouTuber got personal about her faith to express her frustration and sadness over the growing trend of Islamophobia in the United States in a video titled, "Dear America | From a Muslim-American."

"I never thought I would make this video and talk about something so personal," Noor said in the video. "But the current social environment for Muslims today is not safe or just."

Unfortunately, Noor's concern is warranted. As of December, The Huffington Post has reported a total of 73 Islamophobic incidents in North America since the Nov. 13, attacks in Paris. That is a number that is sadly bound to rise in the months to come.

"We have a cultural landscape in America today that frightens me to my very core," said Noor in reference to the anti-Muslim rhetoric of GOP presidential candidate hopeful Donald Trump.

"[Islamophobia] is a real thing and so many Muslims, Sikhs, and essentially people who just 'appear' Muslim now live in fear," Noor told HuffPost. "With this video, I wanted them to know that they are not alone and that there is hope, through love and awareness."

Thankfully, there are countless examples of people standing in solidarity with Muslims to promote a message of peace.

To those who speak out against bigotry, Noor said, "our community needs more allies like you."

I love this tune and it is played constantly on Savage Nation which is streamed by conservativestream.com

I've been trying to find out the artist on this one for weeks and it drove me nuts as I could not find anything on. This guy has another catchy tune which I hope becomes available.

I don't know who the artist is, but the rally video that I watched on Right Side Broadcating last night said the song is available for down loading.

Got it.......thanks

So if a candidate can not handle Megan Kelley, what makes anyone think he can take on the Hildabeast?

#ScaredofGirls

John, during the last debate (IIRC) post interviews Mr. Trump made a comment referencing Hillary to the effect of "Oh, I haven't even gotten started yet. Just wait and see." I for one look forward to what he's holding back.

As for Fox, I don't blame him and frankly it's high time someone had the balls to stand up to MSM. They have been playing dirty games since the start of this campaign. Too bad some can dish it out but can't take it.

Personally, I believe this is a brilliant move. This is why his people get compensated, Trump will probably be the talk of the debate, and have more mentions than the people on the stage , and win without showing up!

Can someone post this - about Trump's rally tomorrow for vets - as a stand-alone thread ... somewhere? Main or the Pol forum. There may be lots of members that would like to know about this, but who won't read this far in this thread.

Thank you.

Thank you for voting!
No 86.65% (19,233 votes)
Yes 13.35% (2,963 votes)
Total Votes: 22,196

I just did a little reading over at Greta's site. She has a separate post that says her poll was put up before Trump announced that he would not participate in tomorrow's debate. The poll has a time stamp of 3:25 and does not make any mention of Trump at all.

In other words, the results are mush. The votes of those who voted before they knew the Donald would not participate are lumped in with the votes of those who voted after they heard the news.

Clear enough? :)

I wish I knew the breakdown of those who voted before vs those who voted after.

Just FYI re Greta's poll...

http://gretawire.foxnewsinsider.com...-to-do-with-trumps-decision-and-i-have-proof/

1/27/16 at 10:20 pm

Mischaracterization of my poll – it has NOTHING to do with Trump’s decision (and I have proof!)

The media can be real sloppy…to the point of mischaracterization. They have my poll all wrong. It has / had nothing to do with Trump pulling out of the Fox debate.

The poll was posted YESTERDAY afternoon at 3:25pm (scroll down to see the time stamp) BEFORE Donald Trump announced he would not participate in the debate. There is no way at 3:25pm I could know of a decision Trump would make hours later . Frankly, I didn’t even know about the Fox press release that provoked Trump’s response and I don’t even know if that press release came out before or after my poll. I was just posting a simple poll – are you going to watch or not?

And this is important: the poll does NOT have Trump’s name it in. Read it. I never asked if people would watch if Trump did not attend. The media is ADDING Trump’s name into my poll themselves and thereby giving it an entirely different meaning. The poll merely asks if you are going to watch or not.

Today, in the midst of the Trump mania, some in the the media have gone “hog wild” and just are reading into things that just aren’t so.

One example is below.

(Less important, I would not even say it is my viewers since I did not ask the poll on tv but merely posted here on GretaWire for readers/bloggers.)

==========

“…..Fox News host Greta Van Susteren, meanwhile, polled her own viewers, revealing that 85 percent said they would not watch the debate if Mr. Trump was missing…..”

This writer is obviously a leftist - he attacks Trump and Fox News as a GOP machine with glee. But still interesting if you leave out the writer's bias to hear what the interviewer Stephen Bannon and Eric Trump had to say on the subject this morning.

Trump debate withdrawal is backfiring big-time on Fox News
By Erik Wemple
January 27 at 1:14 PM

Donald Trump’s criticisms of Megyn Kelly have been weak, sexist, thin-skinned. His decision to back out of Thursday night’s debate is childish and reflects a fear of having to debate his competitors on issues facing the country.

All that said, this dispute is turning into a spectacle with two losers. Fox News unwisely sent out a statement yesterday designed to mock the Republican front-runner for his decision to launch a Twitter poll on whether he should participate in the debate. Here’s what that statement said:

We learned from a secret back channel that the Ayatollah and Putin both intend to treat Donald Trump unfairly when they meet with him if he becomes president — a nefarious source tells us that Trump has his own secret plan to replace the Cabinet with his Twitter followers to see if he should even go to those meetings.

On CNN’s “New Day” this morning, co-host Alisyn Camerota, who formerly worked at Fox News, espied certain fingerprints on that statement: “God, this is such typical Roger Ailes playbook. I worked for him for many years; I recognize this.”

Other pundits recognize it as well — and they’re using it to aver that Trump has some firm footing in bailing on Fox News. Firm footing that he’d never have otherwise.

Example: On SiriusXM’s “Breitbart News Daily,” host Stephen K. Bannon welcomed Eric Trump, son of the candidate/real estate mogul, to tee off on the Fox News release. Bannon set up the younger Trump with these words: “To have a network, a news network, send out a press release that takes our two mortal enemies — the Persians and the Ayatollah and [Vladimir] Putin and the Russians — and makes it, like, some mockery thing … Would Bill Paley do that at CBS back in the old days? Would the heads of NBC do that in the old days? Would ABC News do that in the old days? Has anybody in the history … of media ever sent out a press release to a presidential candidate that’s leading … and they would mock him as commander in chief? Who does that?”

Though it’s a radio interview, you can almost hear Eric Trump nodding in agreement. He responded: “It gives the American people, actually, I think, the first look into politics. It’s something I had never seen before until I got a back-row seat to this whole crazy race. But it shows that there are a couple of people up at the top who try to control politics a lot more, right? I mean, this should be the decision of the American people, this should be the decision of them, not the decision of some network which wants to influence which candidate will ultimately be the head of the GOP. And that’s really what’s happening and it’s really kind of disingenuous. Politics have really been turned on their face, right?”

Right, Eric Trump — especially the politics of Fox News.

For years and years, others have articulated this same critique of Fox News. Commentator Frank Rich, for one, ripped the network as a “right-wing propaganda machine.” Former Obama White House communications director Anita Dunn said on CNN in 2009 that “Fox News often operates almost as either the research arm or the communications arm of the Republican Party.” Former New York Times executive editor Bill Keller called Fox News the “cultural home of the Republican Party and a nonstop Obama roast.” Media Matters has much, much more on the topic.

What’s new is that these arguments are now being articulated by Eric Trump, the son of the Republican presidential front-runner. It’s a problem that no statement from Fox News, no matter how clever, can resolve.

No, that looks like you just type a response on Twitter and I don't "do" Twitter :)

But I see there are lots of people planning to follow Trump to the rally instead of watching the debate.

Where's that popcorn?

I heard Fox was having trouble getting the seats filled for the debate.

This is going to be so fun. Fox has been ripping Trump apart every chance they get. Fox got orders from the "elite" to "take him out".

Pass the popcorn please.

I read the advertisers were already saying they weren't going to pay top dollar without him there. I also read a tweet that said CNN is going to carry Trump's rival rally live. :D Who wants to watch nominees debate who have less than 3% of the votes? It's boring. Most of them don't even have a slim chance of winning the nomination and they're irrelevant. It really is a waste of time without Trump there.

Plus I just heard on Red Eye news that Trump thinks Cruz's offer of a one on one debate is silly and won't participate. Yaaaay!

Here's another thought.

The other candidates on that stage should be mad that Donald isn't there, not happy. With him there they were guaranteed an audience in the tens of millions, now they'll be lucky to get a million or two. Megan Kelly and Fox deprived them of their last chance to reach a broad audience with their message. They broke the first rule of Journalism 101 - you never insert yourself into the story. Megan Kelly made this about her instead of letting the citizens of the United States get to know the candidates. She has her own show if she wants to showcase, this was never supposed to be about her or her feelings or her performance. She's not running for president - the men and woman on that stage were and now they won't be heard by millions of voters because she made herself more important. :shk:

Good for him! He should challenge Cruz to go ahead with the donation to the vets even without the debate!

I wonder what happens when he has to debate the democratic candidate? Does he get a say in who the moderators will be? I can see Fox trying to put Megyn again when they know he can't back out. He should insist all debates be moderated by the league of women voters like in the early debates. Not Megyn, or Candy Crowley (remember how awful she was in the Romney debate?) or another biased moderator who is biting at the bit to get their chance to moderate a debate he has basically really does have to attend.

I think the Megyn Kelly/Michael Moore suck fest says all you need to know about Kelly. And Fox, for that matter. I will watch Trump, and skip the debate. I'll go one step further and skip the debate drinking game also, because that's bound to turn into a piss-on-Trump parade.

My mom asked my why Megyn Kelly would act the way she did re. Trump. I told mom that MK's paycheck depended on it, and she asked how much MK made. I looked it up online - story said her 2015 contract was for $6 million.

That was enough of an answer for mom.

I am watching CNN trying to destroy Trump, because I am tired of watching FOX trying to destroy Trump.

Well, CNN just had Rand Paul on giving his opinion about Trump not attending the debate......................WHAT A BALL FACED LIAR Rand Paul appears to be. He just spewed out a bunch of lies about Trump and got away with it. No wonder I can't stand these other candidates, especially a Paul. They are so sly and shrewd.

CNN just had a piece with Ted Cruz going on about Trump. Plus, I have been watching Ted closely lately. I just put Ted Cruz in my no-go category. He turns out to be......just another politician that is full of it. Too bad. I had actually planned on voting for him......until the last couple of days.

True dat. If Fox is willing to sanction one of it's moderators meeting with Michael Moore of all people that is another nail in the coffin of trying to appear as the 'conservative' alternative to the rest of the networks. No difference betwixt them, none at all.

One on one debates are NOT allowed for in Cruz's PAC. So I guess Cruz is good with breaking his PAC rules, or he is just too unlearned to check before he challenges. Sooo, I think Cruz should go ahead and donate that million plus dollars to the VETS anyway!

Cruz is the biggest snake oil salesman I have seen lately.

Of course, YMMV.

THANK YOU!! My gut has said exactly this about Cruz since I first started paying attention to me. I have a VERY well developed BS meter, and Cruz has set it off in a huge way from the beginning.

He's just another CFR stooge.

I am also really disappointed in Mark Levin's continuing rants against Trump. It is so out of bounds. He is losing half of his audience. At least Rush is trying to keep it balanced, whatever he really thinks.
