Defence bases in Jammu, Punjab on orange alert after fresh intel inputs of terror attackThe defence bases in Jammu and Punjab area have been placed on orange alert after fresh intelligence inputs suggested that a group of terrorists are planning to target some defence bases in the region. "The defence bases in and around Punjab and Jammu are on high alert. The Indian Air Force has put its airbases in Punjab including Pathankot and Jammu on orange alert," government sources told ANI.

They added that the forces had received inputs on Wednesday morning and the defence bases have been put on high alert to prevent any untoward incident. "The inputs were received by forces today morning after which they are taking all precautions to protect the defence bases," added government sources.

It is to be noted that these bases were on high alert a few days ago too but the alert levels were brought down after a couple of days. There have intelligence inputs of a possible terror attack on defence facilities in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab since August 5 when Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre decided to abrogate Article 370, which granted a special status to the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir. https://zeenews.india.com/india/def...sh-intel-inputs-of-terror-attack-2240491.html

India moves to divide Jammu and Kashmir state despite protests, attacks

SRINAGAR, India (Reuters) - India will formally split up disputed Jammu and Kashmir state into two federal territories on Thursday, aiming to tighten its grip on the restive region that has been in the grip of a harsh security clampdown for nearly three months.

REUTERS/Danish Ismail
Street protests against the measures have erupted sporadically, while militants have killed about a dozen people from outside the state in recent weeks.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Hindu nationalist government withdrew Kashmir’s autonomy in August but in addition it also announced the division of the state into two territories to be directly ruled from New Delhi - one consisting of Jammu and Kashmir and the other the remote Buddhist enclave of Ladakh. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-...-state-despite-protests-attacks-idUSKBN1X90JB

Countries Backing India On Kashmir "Will Be Hit By Missile": Pak Minister

https://www.ndtv.com/world-news/pak...dia-on-kashmir-will-be-hit-by-missile-2124314 (fair use)
| Updated: October 30, 2019 07:27 IST

ISLAMABAD: A Pakistan minister has courted controversy by saying that any country that will support India over the Kashmir issue will be hit by a missile by Pakistan and considered as an "enemy" of Islamabad.
"If tensions with India rise on Kashmir, Pakistan will be compelled to go to war. Those countries backing India and not Pakistan (over Kashmir) will be considered our enemy and a missile will be fired at India and those nations supporting it," Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Ali Amin Gandapur said at an event on Tuesday.

Pakistan-based journalist Naila Inayat tweeted a part of the video in which the minister is seen making the inflammatory remarks.

The Pak leader's rhetoric on Kashmir issue comes at a time when Pakistan has been snubbed globally over the matter. Islamabad has unilaterally downgraded bilateral ties after it cried foul over New Delhi's move to abrogate Article 370 that granted special powers to Jammu and Kashmir.

India has maintained that the decision is its internal matter, a stance which has been supported by several countries, including the SAARC nations and the Arab World.

In his maiden address at the UN General Assembly in New York in September, Prime Minister Imran Khan had devoted his 50-minute speech on Kashmir and resorted to anti-India rant. Even at that time, Khan raked up the dire consequences in the event of a nuclear war with India.

"If a conventional war starts between the two countries anything could happen. A country seven times smaller than its neighbor what will it do -- either surrender or fight for its freedom," he had said.

"My belief is we will fight and when a nuclear-armed country fights till the end it will consequence far beyond the borders. I am warning you. It's not a threat but worry about where are we heading. If this goes wrong you hope for the best but prepare for the worst," he had added.

The cricketer-turned-politician also admitted that Pakistan has failed in its attempt to internationalise the Kashmir issue, saying he is disappointed with the world community over the matter.

Pakistani protesters rally to demand Imran Khan's resignation

3 MIN READ

ISLAMABAD (Reuters) - Tens of thousands of Pakistani opposition supporters rallied on Friday to demand the ouster of what they say is the illegitimate government of Prime Minister Imran Khan, warning of chaos if their demands were not met.

The protest, in the capital Islamabad, is the first concerted opposition challenge that cricket star-turned-politician Khan has faced since he won a general election last year promising to end corruption and create jobs for the poor.

The leader of one of Pakistan’s largest religious parties, Fazl-ur-Rehman, is spearheading the protest with the support of both main opposition parties. It comes as Khan’s government is struggling with the economy.

The opposition says the government is illegitimate and is being propped up by the military, which has ruled Pakistan for about half of its history and sets security and foreign policy. The military denies meddling in politics.

Khan has dismissed the opposition calls to step down and the government has warned it will not tolerate chaos on the streets.

“There is an undeclared martial law here,” said protester Habib ur Rehman, 35, a supporter of Fazl-ur-Rehman’s conservative Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl party.

The veteran politician can mobilize support in numerous religious schools and has warned of chaos across the country if the government does not step down. He was due to address the rally after Friday prayers.

Security is tight in Islamabad with the government and diplomatic sector - just a few miles (kilometers) from the rally site - sealed off, roads blocked by barriers of shipping containers.

Schools are closed, public transport suspended and internet services interrupted in some areas, a service provider said.

The army chief, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, urged Khan to handle the protest peacefully and avoid violence by both sides, a military spokesman said.

Khan won the election on promises of breaking Pakistan away from its legacy of corruption and on plans to pull 100 million people out of poverty.

But an economy in crisis forced his government, like many of its predecessors, to turn to the International Monetary Fund. Pakistan got a $6 billion bailout in July.

The government is trying to correct an unsustainable current account deficit and cut debt while trying to expand the tax base in the country of 208 million people, in which only 1% of people file returns.

Inflation is squeezing household budgets and traders this week protested against new tax measures.

Protester Rehman said people were struggling to make ends meet, and he blamed Khan.

“My family voted for him thinking he’s a new person and looked sincere,” he said.

The above bolded, if true, explains the situation for those that believe that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is an integral part of the international deep state apparatus, using their money-lending abilities to arm-twist regimes who are in (artificially created?) economic crisis to kow-tow to hidden deep state demands/agendas.

Quickly, then, the question becomes, what were the quid pro quo terms that the Pakistanis agreed to, in order to obtain the $6B loan from the deep-state handmaiden IMF?

Over the many decades since its founding, the IMF has been conducting/setting foreign policy that impacts most of the west, and particularly the U.S. - regardless of what Congress and/or past presidential administrations may have wanted - the IMF/deep state cares about the value/sanctity of the petro-dollar as the world's reserve currency (western central bank creation) and the ability to use the U.S. and western militarys to assure that the "deals" that they have made with different sovereign countries via economic loans remain intact and fruitful to the deep state economic plan/model.

The IMF loans are the carrot to the U.S./western military-might's stick. The disconnect occurs when the IMF/deep state's REAL goals do NOT align with what are the constitutionally valid goals/actions of "We, The People."

India Test Fires Nuke-Capable Missile Amid "Israeli Model" For Kashmir Controversy

by Tyler Durden
Sat, 11/30/2019 - 23:00

Following a major row over controversial comments from a senior Indian diplomat who in a recent televised speech called for the adoption of the "Israeli model" in Indian-administered Kashmir, New Delhi has added fresh fuel to the fire by another successful test launch of an intermediate-range ballistic missile, the Agni-III, on Saturday. This comes after a series prior short-range nuke capable missile tests over the past two weeks.

It was the first night trial of the nuclear capable Agni-III surface-to-surface ballistic missile, fired from an island off India's east coast into the Bengal Sea. Indian defense sources have touted that the nuke-capable ballistic missile possesses a range of over 1,862 miles, and has successfully hit its targets in the latest tests.

Tensions with Pakistan remain on edge over the months-long Kashmir crisis precipitated by the Indian government revoking the autonomy of the state of Jammu & Kashmir (J&K), after which tens of thousands of Indian national troops poured into the Muslim-majority region in a political crackdown.

And a new diplomatic storm erupted this week after a top diplomat called for Indian to enact the "Israeli model" in disputed Kashmir. Sandeep Chakravorty, India's consul general in New York, made the comments at a private event captured in a now viral hour-long video.

Speaking of the ongoing security crackdown in J&K, the senior diplomat said, "I believe the security situation will improve, it will allow the refugees to go back, and in your lifetime, you will be able to go back … and you will be able to find security, because we already have a model in the world."
