Jeffries is certainly getting a lot of votes.
Exactly! There's only a handful of Pubs that's any good, all the other's are fixed!
He will get every dem vote that is in the chamber. the number to watch is if he goes OVER 212, that means somebody on the republican side flipped.Jeffries is certainly getting a lot of votes.
Because he's the democrat minority leader. He's going to get the same amount every time.Jeffries is certainly getting a lot of votes.
No, it doesn't work that way.So the republicans will vote for a dem out of spite. Got it.
Sorry. I mixed up Jordan and Jeffries. No, it doesn't work that way.
Yep. There are a lot of Dems, and you can bet they won't break ranks. He will get every dem vote that is in the chamber. the number to watch is if he goes OVER 212, that means somebody on the republican side flipped.

Unless Republicans are stupid, they won't give Jeffries the majority he would need. Which may mean 1,579 different votes before we have a Republican speaker.
But I'm not counting anything out yet, including mass stupidity...
I noticed that earlier....FAUX strikes again....
Same dynamics as the Turtle in the Senate...
No, he can't. He's done. But we have to watch for the RINO Replacement. Still think it will be Scalise. Again, nice guy but he's very moderate and more so than McCarthy. If I had to vote between only those 2, unfortunately, I'd take McCarthy. Sorry, I just think Scalise would backfire for MAGA R's. I hope those 19-20 won't be satisfied with him.Sensing McCarthy can’t win….
Audible GASPS in chamber as Rep. Donalds switches Speaker vote from McCarthy
There is some serious drama happening in the House right now.rumble.com
I suspect that's what McCarthy is waiting for. Absent that, he's just treading water and might as well step aside so that a new list of candidates can be considered.Well then, if we start seeing dems voting for McCarthy tomorrow, we'll know who he's actually willing to negotiate with and give concessions to.
Dems AREN'T GOING TO VOTE FOR an R. EVER. Please read this thread. They're going to keep voting their same amount of votes for Jeffries. That's how it works.Well then, if we start seeing dems voting for McCarthy tomorrow, we'll know who he's actually willing to negotiate with and give concessions to.
That's just not going to happen. Those 19 or 20 would declare war on McCarthy on the floor and keep him hamstrung from moving forward on bringing anything to the floor if he decided to work on the D's side. He would be very weak with no confidence by his piers.I suspect that's what McCarthy is waiting for. Absent that, he's just treading water and might as well step aside so that a new list of candidates can be considered.

An R is going to win because we have the most total R members.
