Well we know who the republican mafia members are now. It makes me happy to see all these people's true colors.

Well, this is akin to Jackson's "John Marshall has made his decision; now let him enforce it!"
According to recent revelations, in many (most?) cases, federal and state political candidates are (s)elected and installed.Just to split hairs, you can only vote for 3 people.
You don't vote for President.
You vote for Electors
(S)elections have consequences. Thus concludes the Replicant electoral 'victory' in the House, and demonstrates the final sealing of the political fate of the nation.
Not arguing with you, just want to point out then, that if it "changed under Pelosi" that means it was in effect for the other 100+ Congresses, and was only tried during Newt's term, which didn't succeed. My understanding on the one vote to vacate the speaker position, is that it actually removes him from speaker and forces another vote for speaker. He has to win a majority again and the 20 holdouts have agreed that if McCarthy doesn't uphold the agreements, they will withhold their votes again until a different speaker is elected. This is the way it used to be and Nancy Pelosi was the one who changed it to require a majority vote to vacate the position.

After 15 Grueling House Speaker Votes, America's Long National Nightmare Can Finally Begin
WASHINGTON, D.C. — After a week of grueling votes for Speaker of the House — 15 in total — Kevin McCarthy was finally handed the people's gavel and took his rightful place as Speaker. He lifted it up to the raucous applause of both Democrats and Republicans, signaling that the week of Congressional inactivity was over and the long national nightmare of taxing, spending, and corruption could finally begin.
"Finally, we will get down to the people's business of stealing all their money for our pet projects, making backroom deals, and holding meaningless investigations where we yell and point angrily at people to get some sweet sound bytes for our reelections," said McCarthy to the assembled warmongers, rapists, and half-dead geriatrics in the room. "Our long congressional nightmare is over, and the long national nightmare is finally here! Huzzah!"
Those in the crowd who were still sober enough to stand then stood and cheered.
Experts predict that business as usual will resume first thing Monday, as politicians give portentous speeches to empty rooms, have important meetings with weapons manufacturers, and attend coke orgies. "Americans are overwhelmingly pleased to be finally achieving a state of normalcy in Washington again," said one pollster.
At publishing time, Congress had already authorized another $100 billion to Ukraine.

Ugly truth.I'm a George Carlin, Samuel Clements cynic.

ZeroHedge - On a long enough timeline, the survival rate for everyone drops to zerowww.zerohedge.comHere Are The Concessions McCarthy Had To Make For Speakership
Of course Steny would say this - the loyal Maryland Democrat representative that he is - first (s)elected and installed in 1981.Democrat Rep. Steny Hoyer of Maryland says McCarthy gave up too much.
"I think he gave away much more than I wish he’d given," he said, adding "I think it does give to a small, willful faction of his caucus, a negative faction of his caucus, a faction of his caucus that has been almost uniformly obstructionist, more authority than they ought to have."
I agree, mostly. My feeling is the holdouts were trying to get the concessions for the rule changes - not to actually get another speaker. I don't think anyone else wanted to be speaker. Not arguing with you, just want to point out then, that if it "changed under Pelosi" that means it was in effect for the other 100+ Congresses, and was only tried during Newt's term, which didn't succeed.
So just having it on the books, may not mean a thing.
BTW will also point out that those 20 holdouts, didn't hold out this time either.
My point is: it's going to take 2 years to see if this was theater, or real. I'm not holding my breath and don't think you should either.
Is what plain now? Your attitude towards the 20? Yes, you detest them all.Is it plain now?
You might want to differentiate on which one in my tag line you are referring to. Because I would be more than happy to defend each and every one.
The reality is of one Trump. One who garners overwhelming support from the citizen base. Then losses by a confirmed fraudulent election. Where everyone is bought off, to do the fraud, paid for it......Soros, and company. Politicians like Biden, bought off by chyna.... AG's, to ignore the existing laws... corrupt media..we all know the depth and width of this corruption, and as stated. It won't go away on it's own, and it's tentacles are everywhere. Yet it stands on a house built on shifting sand. It has no foundation in anything it does, outside of the propaganda which they once totally controlled. Now with the Twitter revelations..................................................that house of cards is on the way down. America has and is being awakened to the reality's at hand. Not all, but the core are getting it. See it on every commentary these days.According to recent revelations, in many (most?) cases, federal and state political candidates are (s)elected and installed.
J6P's vote does not necessarily matter in these (s)elections and installations.

"Everybody feels duped," said one constituent. "He’s a liar. How can you believe anything he says."
I think you need to re-read that promise.
It states that a single person can CALL for a vote, not that a vote will happen, and not that the Speakership will be overturned.
Some cry baby gets their feeling hurt and CALLS for a vote. It will go nowhere. Even if a Caucus CALLS for a vote, it will go nowhere. He's the speaker, they will need 218 to overturn.
As I told you some pages back this is politics, not patriotism. To overturn the Speakership will mean Chairmanships will be up for grabs as well. The Speaker APPOINTS chairs, and if you voted against the new or present Speaker your chair may be on the line.
Who was it that said they would resign from the House, if McCarthy got the Speaker?
Where are your patriots now?
This is politics, out of the 535 people in our government YOU or I can only influence/vote for, 4 people. Not withstanding Dominion/cheating. 1) the representative for your district 2) your 2 Senators and No. 4 your President (even though you vote for a VP its always a package deal).
Once you cast your vote in Nov. it is out of your hands. And they will tell you anything, do anything R or D to get elected. Once that is done, they don't need you, and they have NEVER cared about you. O they may throw you a bone every now and then just to keep you coming back for more.
It would be good to spend some time meditating on this, so you will learn it is politics in government and it is all about money and power which the old saying "Power corrupts, and ultimate power corrupts ultimately" is as true today and it was when spoken.
All depends how the Dems decide to vote. They will vote as a block as they are told."they will need 218 to overturn."
They already have 212.
If it ever happens, which I doubt at this point, the Dems would need to have good info as to who may replace him.All depends how the Dems decide to vote. They will vote as a block as they are told.

I qualified my "vote" statement because those that vote for the chosen/selected machine candidate DO have their vote counted - in some cases, several times.I don't think your vote means anything.
Just responding to Cary C's post about who you vote for
That would be really cool, no doubt. Over the years I have acquired a taste for crow, so don't mind eating it every now and then. And if that happens now, so much the better. However let me make one notation:I found this interesting about the motion to vacate.
"The 100-year-old event to which The New York Times, National Review and Messer refer is the attempt by House Democrats to remove Speaker Joseph Cannon from power on March 20, 1910. Described by one modern historian as the most controversial Speaker in American history and by others as a "czar" and "tyrant," Cannon, a Republican from Illinois, survived a vote to vacate his office 155-192. A Democrat from Texas named Albert Burleson had filed the resolution in an attempt to capitalize on growing divisions between progressives and conservatives within the Republican Party." Link
It really appears that a single Republican or dem can cause the motion to vacate the chair and requires a vote by the body. Further Paul Ryan, wanted it removed in 2015.
"In the race to succeed him, the motion to vacate rule again played a key role. Rep. Paul Ryan, Boehner's eventual successor, initially stated that he would seek the Speakership only if changes were made to the rule. A spokesperson for Ryan stated in October, "No matter who is speaker, they cannot be successful with this weapon pointed at them all the time."
Maybe the 20 achieved a little more than you are willing to give them credit for.
Bringing them up for a vote, does not mean passage. Even in the House. Much less Senate, and then a signature. So eventually they will not go anywhere. But let's concentrate on just the House. The Republican rules package guarantees that these seven bills come up for a vote in the House. They include cutting IRS funding, restricting migration and curtailing abortion.
You really need to follow your own replies and responses to those replies. So maybe I can help you:Is what plain now? Your attitude towards the 20? Yes, you detest them all.
I was referring to your bumper sticker about "wise men still seek him"and your condescending attitude and one of them needed to go. You don't need to defend to me, you need to answer to God as we all do.
You need to remove the condescending tone or your bumper sticker on your tag line. They don't really go together.
I can't help you mislabled Club for Growth as Club for Rome. There really is a Club for Rome and I did not understand why you thought they were apart of the club.
I was trying to understand your position and why you are hostile to the 20 and what they are attempting to do.
It should be plain why I'm hostile to them. They caved. And they played "We the People" like a fiddle. And the reason they caved is they are politicians and NOT Patriots. Is what plain now? Your attitude towards the 20? Yes, you detest them all.

Ideally, a campaigning politician would stand and say that they support the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights. If we are truly in a Republic a representative form of government, when the politicians campaign do they say: I stand for this and this vote for me.
Or do they say: what do you want me to say/stand for in representing you?
*REP. MIKE ROGERS TO STEP DOWN FROM HOUSE GOP STEERING: POLITICOThis article is beyond the paywall, but one line says something about not even being sure that Rogers was "lunging" at Gaetz, more like (when one watches the video in full) he was standing there and held/muzzled for no reason.
I dunno.. just like it's a scripted kabuki theatre performance, full o' sound n fury, signifying nothing- as I suggested days ago?
:: shrug ::
That remains my take:
