Ok, I'll bite. You have to admit that there are some positive aspects for black people and other minorities in having their president of color. I'm all for increasing the positive outlook for black people, it's a good thing for them and everyone around them and may actually end up being an overall positive for America if O doesn't get all radically Marxist on us. No longer can someone "other than white" say that someone "other than white" can't be president. America is the land of opportunity to a fault, the world is watching and changing their outlook on who we are and at this juncture, that HAS to be a good thing in light of the fact that we are one of the most hated and at the same time most loved countries in the world. Swaying things backed to the loved side can't be bad. We can only pray that Obama finds the Holy Spirit in his heart and does the right things and doesn't further sell us down the river, we can only hope that he becomes a true patriot to America and if he does, it won't matter where he came from, but he MUST adhere to our Constitution and that in no way can be easy. That's a tough bill for ANY new president to fill, a daunting task indeed and realistically impossible. However, we can try to make lemonade out of lemons and try to look at the bright side, we still have a couple of months of status-quo and we will know more leading up to inauguration. There have been patriots to America in the past who have helped us during wars and gave their lives for liberty and not been citizens of our country. If Obama can be that kind of patriot than we have nothing to worry about. I'm not making bets in vegas on it but you have to allow some positive ideas into your minds at this time as a coping mechanism, at least I have to.
I only say this because I have to admit that I felt a distinctly more positive vibe from black people today and there is nothing wrong with that.
