kozanne, you miss my point; I don't blame though. I did not vote for him; I wanted Alan Keyes...... I hope we are wrong about how he will act. He has a chance, a narrow chance, to actually do the smart thing and focus on what is wrong about this country ( albeit not everything ). I do not know this man, so I reckon I'll give him trust but verify opportunity....... God knows I have been so wrong for so long...........And by the way, I see HOPE: it is running toward the horizon with it's ass on fire........

That about sums it up for me.......:rdog:

Good one! Message understood. My apologies.

So tell us Condi, what will America look like and be like when that "work" is finally done?

Indeed Topcat. That is the key statement right there. Of course Fred and his ilk don't mind because they willingly admit that they and their families are evil and must pay. Fred you and your family need to get used to being on your knees. It must be pathetic to know you can never make up for all that evil that is you? The problem however is that Fred and it appears a good portion of the country wishes to take us all down with them, to destroy our culture, communities and country to assuage their guilt. To hand it all over to the third world.

Fred and co as useful idiots will point out all that they consider white and evil and then blatantly ignore all that is black and evil. That is what all the Marxist & brainwashed minions do. However as Condi, The Rev Wright, Farrakhan or any of the other AFRICANS so willingly point out it is not enough. Not today, not tomorrow, not after reparations not even after praying and lying at the alter of forgiveness and multiculturalism or even after electing an AFRICAN president. If it didn't affect my home and family I couldn't care less what Fred and his cadre of supine Borgs would do to themselves or their families but otherwise Fred you can shove all this guilt crap right up your ass! Better ask your masters first though. They may have other things that they'd rather put up there? Maybe you should offer your evil kids as human sacrifices?

Do you even know what you're talking about?
You might find the results of the 2004 election by race interesting. The numbers aren't a whole lot different from this election. They're different, mind you, but not overwhelmingly so. Black people tend to vote Democrat period, whether that Democrat is black or white.

There is an idiot here for sure, and his name isn't Fred. I made no comment at all in this thread other than to sarcastically call Condi Rice an idiot in a post to mbo. Everything else you wove out of thin air.

Why is there so much emphasis on his skin color instead of his qualifications? If putting a black man in the White House was the most important thing they could have elected Chris Rock and we could have at least been entertained.

They could say that he is young, enthursiastic, intelligent, team player, good debater, calm..............heck........they could even say he has nice white teeth..............but it's all about his blackness.

So, yes, it was all about race.

I hope he turns out to be a great President and goes down in history as being great.............not just black.

The statistics would certainly suggest the majority vote the same way. My point was, they traditionally vote for Democrats regardless. Obama being black was just, for lack of a better word, icing. :)

My opinion differs 100%. I don't feel guilty because I'm white, not by any stretch. I'm sure as shit no Obama supporter; I've made that clear in thread after thread after thread, yet people keep accusing me of being one because I don't jump on the shit-slinging bandwagon. I think multiculturalism is a load of crap, and I won't lose sleep the day Farrakhan dies. I think there is plenty of evil in the world, both black and white. Reparations are wrong, affirmative action is wrong, and lowering standards because some ethnic groups are unable to meet them is wrong.

Happy? ;)

I am not an Obama supporter.

I am not an apologist for him.

I am not a Black person.

I am not a guilt laden liberal PC white person.

But I am amazed and saddened at the amount of hatred I just read.

That was another great thing about this election: people did not vote for Obama just because he is of mixed race. They voted for him because he is qualified.

The good news is that in another 10,000 years, when all this is gone and forgotten, there will be only one skin color...a lovely shade of light brown. The bad news is that we'll find another reason to hate and kill each other.

Agreed.

Even to call it "racism" seems an understatement.

Foolishly, I hoped that after the election was done, that the vile comments would cease.

They have only just begun. And this board is far from being the only place it will happen. This election was about race, not about qualifications. Pure and simple. I've said it at least three times today, this administration will be the most racially divisive one since the 1960's. You are seeing it come to pass right here on this board.

Ok, I'll bite. You have to admit that there are some positive aspects for black people and other minorities in having their president of color. I'm all for increasing the positive outlook for black people, it's a good thing for them and everyone around them and may actually end up being an overall positive for America if O doesn't get all radically Marxist on us. No longer can someone "other than white" say that someone "other than white" can't be president. America is the land of opportunity to a fault, the world is watching and changing their outlook on who we are and at this juncture, that HAS to be a good thing in light of the fact that we are one of the most hated and at the same time most loved countries in the world. Swaying things backed to the loved side can't be bad. We can only pray that Obama finds the Holy Spirit in his heart and does the right things and doesn't further sell us down the river, we can only hope that he becomes a true patriot to America and if he does, it won't matter where he came from, but he MUST adhere to our Constitution and that in no way can be easy. That's a tough bill for ANY new president to fill, a daunting task indeed and realistically impossible. However, we can try to make lemonade out of lemons and try to look at the bright side, we still have a couple of months of status-quo and we will know more leading up to inauguration. There have been patriots to America in the past who have helped us during wars and gave their lives for liberty and not been citizens of our country. If Obama can be that kind of patriot than we have nothing to worry about. I'm not making bets in vegas on it but you have to allow some positive ideas into your minds at this time as a coping mechanism, at least I have to.

I only say this because I have to admit that I felt a distinctly more positive vibe from black people today and there is nothing wrong with that.

You're damn right. I had two black friends for over ten years. Both of them almost had orgasms every time they mentioned o-boy's name or saw him. All they could ever say was that "he's going to help the poor (code word) folks". Notice I said I HAD two black friends for over ten years.

Lines drawn.

No. I've seen it come to pass in YOU.

YOU are divisive and racist. YOU are enjoying this. YOU are having YOUR kicks at other's expense.

The election was not about race. But isn't it convenient to say so now?

This election was about putting up a good front and pretending that the candidates were different. They are not- not in policy- only in looks. Take off your fabricated blinders and start looking at what YOU can do to help save this country.

And I got news- being divisive ain't it.

Perhaps there's some truth to that :)

I'm aware of how black people have voted in past elections. That wasn't even the topic. Fruit Loop claimed people of "All Races" voted for Obama, which isn't true. The majority of whites voted for McCain.

Qualified? Junior Senator who has never sponsored significant legislation, ran a committee, and who voted "Present" most of the time to avoid being tagged as having a position on anything?

No, Southern Gal. It was not.

Here's my post on another thread:

Obama didn't win because he is black.

He won because he is charming and eloquent.

He won because he is not an embarrassment like W & McCain. America's had 8 years of a seemingly bumbling idiot at the helm. A lot of the country is VERY tired of that.

He won because, although both parties are corrupt and decadent, he at least can be someone who will not embarrass us in front of the world.

If he was white and still had the charm- he would have won.

I am an RP fan, but if I was an average voter, w/o the knowledge, I would have voted for Obama too.

Obama has the style of a JFK and most of the country is hungry for someone they can be proud of- even if they might have a suspicion he is lying through his teeth.

Nobody can in good conscience say that Obama is qualified, not in any sense of the word. I won't agree that he is even an American, I have no decisive proof that he is an American. How can that be? Orwell knows how.

It's a tough pill to swallow and I don't think it's quite over, but in the big picture I think it was planned. Don't try to tell me that this man is legit because I think most presidents have not been legit for I don't know how many years. Almost 100? When they did JFK things definitely changed but things changed before then as well. Where is the benchmark? When was the last time we had a legit Administration? These questions only lead us to the conclusion that at least many of them have not been in the interest of the people and only in the interest of The Establishment. What side does O fall on?

Good grief.

This is insanity.

If the "insanity" you are referring to is the direction this board has taken in the last 24 hours, I would have to agree.

I completely disagree. I think they voted for him because he is completely UNqualified. They simply wanted radical change. Wanted something totally new and different in Washington DC.

Amaryllis, You did mean U.N. - Qualified as in United Nations
Anti-Christ and new world order, right?

cuz that's where most of his money, more than a $$$ half BILLION dollars in campaign contributions probably came from.

and Obama spent it for a $four hundred thousand dollar a year job with housing and utilities included. Do you think Michelle will give up her $317,000 Chicago Medical Center head of community relations job to be a full time WhiteHouse wife, since his Presidential earnings is now about equal to her earnings as the hospital director.

Sure it matters that he is of partial African descent. Many of us are old enough to remember the Civil Rights era, when black presidential NOMINEE would have been unheard of. Those of us who do can indeed celebrate this day, because it's been a long time coming.

I am old enough to remember but I can assure you I do NOT celebrate this day. How could I possibly be happy that our President is a Muslem, friend of a known terrorist, a 20 year member of a church that the pastor ( also a close friend ) preaches hate for America and white people. And qualified? I can't think of any qualifications that he has to be President of the United States.

No I can not celebrate this day.

Allan Keyes-now there is a man of courage, conviction, principles, AND very much qualified. What a shame, what could have been.

Agreed. An excellent candidate.
It would hve been really interesting to have a 'person of color' on the Democratic ticket and one on the Republican ticket for POTUS. Then we might have a more honest election based on important issues instead of hearing "I voted for O because he's black'.
