A Romney win is a hope on my part that what ever is coming is perhaps delayed slightly.

I don't think it can be turned around.

We're too far gone, globally, and I see a plan to hit "reset" in the future.

Nearly half of us have lost the moral compass that pointed us toward personal responsibility, independence, and a desire to work hard in order to achieve.

I agree with this assesment completely. I am pretty well set right now but continue to stack it deeper and wider. I have some items that I would ramp up if he wins. I need to increase the garden and stock up on seeds again and would probably do that as well

If O wins and O-care (less) gets placed, I will need to assess whether my money is being taken to support it. If so, I will require of my employer that no money go into it. If that cannot be arranged, I quit my job and leave the money system. Those caught in the money system will be servants of the beast. That day is coming soon. The coming darkness pushes me ever stronger to the One who is the Light. He gave me His Spirit that I not live in darkness. He will lead me as I am willing.

If I am no longer "employed", I will seek work to feed my family and rely on the providence of God.

We here know that the elections are perfectly easy to be rigged, via machines and global entities being suddenly appointed to "count" votes, even though we should be able to have a fairly good ability to forecast who the next POTUS will be, we cannot due to globalists pre-choosing who it will be, as well as owning the msm who will be utilized to announce their choice as if it was made by us. Who demands the msm report the truth or provide evidence for it? Nobody. None of us know which clown the NWO has picked, unless you believe Lindsey Williams has the fast track to the illuminati via his contacts, which he very well may. But doesn't it seem strange that we are all tossed up in the air, at the point of max elevation, no knowing for weeks which side of street we will land on? In answer to the OP, I quit work and retired in 2010, 2 years after Obama took office.
I think many other people will go Galt if O wins this election.
It will be the coup de grace to our country.
Make sure you are prepped up and owe nothing to anybody.
Those who are in debt will probably lose everything.

If Romney wins it won't be a head shot to the country, but we are still mortally wounded and no matter how much he tries to fix things, a lot of people are going to suffer more than they ever knew was possible.
Don't worry so much about the looting and gang violence. Instead gird yourself for 10 to 20 years of grinding poverty and hopeless suffering for yourself and your children. I'm interested in hearing what your plans and reactions would be if you wake up Nov 7th and find out Zero has won. I don't want this thread to turn into the legitimacy or not of the elections or the wiseness or foolishness of voting third party - there are a hundred other threads like that on this board.

Think of it this way - pretend the election is over, and you wake up in the AM on the 7th and we're stuck with Zero for another 4 years. Then what?

The government should live with a budget close to the amount it takes in from taxes.
If it needs more money it should create it directly without it automatically becoming a debt.
If they go hog wild and cause massive inflation, the people could lay blame directly on the government and tar and feather the bastards like they deserve.

We would not have a national debt, but since this will never happen, we will probably have a complete collapse.

Well... I've had many of these thoughts. Tax revolt, crank up the deductions and don't file... nah. Don't have a pilots license. Look at throwing in the towel and going lower income... could be a possibility, especially with a couple of "under the table" gigs to provide some cash money income. Go to work for the gubmint... thought of it. FEMA has a big operation not far from me. Has the double benefit of reducing income and taxes. Simply give up. Work the system, file for disability, become a parasite on the parasite... I don't think I could do it and keep my marbles (those I still have).

Most likely, try to reduce income, maximize deductions, work towards getting ready to drop out WTSHTF, which is will. The concept of the Messiah getting re-elected to spedd us along the pathway to the bottom has occured to me as well.

Mostly, I'm sick and tired of paying a scandalous amount of taxes for nothing. I don't agree with what the "Government" is doing, saying, legislating and regulating. I'm an alien in my own world. All they want me for is an ongoing source of money. In context, I could be a milch cow for a tribe of vampires, feeding me and keeping me alive for a supply of blood.

If the worst should happen, I'll join many here by being depressed for a while and then get back to work hammering my House and Senate folks to obstruct any and all "Change" that might come up. Gridlock is good. Accomodation and "bi-partisanship" is bad.

THIS. This is EXACTLY what I'm completely sick of. I'm a milk cow for everyone not pulling their weight. I'm tired of it.

Its been bothering me for a long time, but I've always had hope it would turn around, somehow. The Tea Party gave me hope, for awhile. If Prez Douchnozzle gets another term in my opinion the last faintest shred of hope is gone, and I don't know if I will be able to take being a food source for the leeches anymore, even if not doing so puts me and my future at risk.

But its hella hard considering giving up plans for a secure retirement, a career of a quarter of a century, dreams of a better life, a little land etc. just to avoid being a blood donor to those I detest.

I expect when I wake up the AM of the 7th I'll still go to work, no matter who is elected. And if it's Romney I'll give him a chance. But either way, by next spring I'll need to make some decisions.
