Following propaganda and posting it are not the same.
And if someone does not believe a post is credible, they normally say so.
Everything at this point is hype from both sides.

At this point, all we can do is gather the information, shelve it and see what really materializes going forward in this phog of war narratives. I can't see where this conflict will go or take us in the future yet.

In my opinion, this war was a mistake and should/could have been avoided with Putin, but the DNC/DS has taken us into the fast lane of more wars and World Order Domination.

I was thinking like this till the EuroMaiden Obama/Soros/CIA Coup backing radical Nazi's overthrowing Viktor Yanukovych and installing Zelenskyy, a corrupt CIA asset helping the Deep State funneling money to collectively hold power.

I might have even gone along with this program, if it was to truly fortify the Baltics and pigeon hole Russia's first strike preparations and China's pacific expansion plans.

But the Obama Admin/DNC/DS/DOJ/FBI/CIA/NSA were intoxicated with so much power they had to turn it on the American population by spying (Snowden) and persecuting their political opposition in similar ways to try and hold power

Putin, who's a very dangerous leader is fully backed by China and all their growing allies.

The DNC/DS/WEF think by giving China dominance over the West's Economy and even our Electric Grid will side line them during their little Ukraine Coup/War excursion to wear down Russians on their New Liberal Global World Order path.

This is something I would've even gone along with if it was to truly fortify the Baltic's and pigeon hole Russia's first strike preparations and China's pacific expansion plans (not necessarily in that order).

My issue is with the DNC/DS/WEF backing the war in Ukraine is also hell bent Authoritarian's on taking down the West's Independent Middle Class with their freedoms all at same time by attacking:

1. Freedom of Speech, weaponized MSM/BT
2. Value of the dollar
3. Inflation
4. Price of Energy
5. Supply Chain Failures
6. Food Supply
7. Forced Experimental Jabs
8. Forced Lockdowns
9. BLM-ANTIFA to Riot and Chaos on demand to hold power
10. Fortified Elections
11. Woke culture war on families and their children
12. WH Weaponized FBI, DOJ, CIA, NSA, IRS, Pentagon
13. Using racism to destroy any unity in America
14. Illegal Immigration to over load the system
15. De-fund the Police while letting criminals out to terrorize the population.
16. Legalizing hard drugs making more dependent
17. Fostering criminals and crime on businesses and population
18. While attacking self-defense and 2A.

I could go on illustrating, but we get their dystopian picture they've created to bring New Order out of their Chaos in transitioning the West into their 2030 New Liberal World Order goals.

The DNC/DS thought they could make China a competitor with Russia by advancing Beijing's (military) technology (Clinton), industrialization, wealth and a global seat at the table could influence and control China. The people making this policy and getting grift influence were not paying attention to what Russia, China and their growing allies are really doing together and how long their history has been intertwined supporting each other after WW2 against the West in wars and conflicts in Korea, Cuba, Vietnam and other regions.

The DNC/DS think they can control and rely on China to stay in their lane out of this Russian conflict. This was foolish thinking from the beginning. When you're bought and paid for by China they will exercise their own goals of expansion with impunity.

The DNC/DS has been backed by China to wear down the Independent Middle Class, the strongest fighting pillar of resistance to their totalitarian domination in America and China backs banning and removing firearms in the US, notice how the West Coast has been growing the most restrictive in the direct paths of their beachheads.

Russia and China have been working on their own long range Bi-Polar World Order Plans for a Post-American World Order. Where they have free dominance over their respective regions and expand their territories, powers and influence unabated. Especially in newly conquered vacuums of power and territory from a divided and defeated America that once influenced Europe, the Pacific and North America.

I have read that the Russians have seriously crimped Ukrainian rail travel by dropping their electrical grid, as the vast majority of Ukrainian locomotives are electric. Now, understanding that they are putting their relatively few diesel locomotives into service, the Russians are supposedly targeting those locomotives with missiles.

Being a Ukrainian diesel locomotive engineer suddenly became a lot more dangerous.

Most modern locomotives are actually diesel-electric in design.

Onboard diesel motors that are powering onboard electrical generators, which provide the electric power directly to the electric wheel motors.

As long as the Ukraine has access to diesel fuel, and the tracks/bridges remain intact, and the equipment/track repair folks remain available, along with parts, the Ukraine's trains will continue to run.

I wasn't talking about diesel-electrics. I was talking about electric locomotives. I'm sure you've seen them. They operate from overhead wires above the train and there's a contact bar above the locomotive that transfers power from the wires to the locomotive's motor(s).

It's my understanding that the Ukrainian locomotives are mostly of the electric type, not the diesel-electric types.

Boris Johnson claims Germany favored Ukraine's defeat and France was in 'denial'

Boris Johnson says attitudes of reluctant EU nations changed once Russia invaded Ukraine

Published November 23, 2022 2:56pm EST
By Caitlin McFall

Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Wednesday claimed that France in the lead-up to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine was in "denial" while German leaders just hoped it would be "over quickly."

"This thing was a huge shock," Johnson said in an interview with CNN Portugal. "We could see the Russian battalion tactical groups amassing, but different countries had very different perspectives."

Johnson specifically called out three European Union nations that he said were less steadfast than other allies in their response to Russia’s "special military operation," which was launched nine months ago.

"The German view was at one stage that if it were going to happen, which would be a disaster, then it would be better for the whole thing to be over quickly and for Ukraine to fold," Johnson said, alluding to "all sorts of sound economic reasons" for their stance.

"I couldn’t support that, I thought that was a disastrous way of looking at it. But I can understand why they thought and felt as they did," he added.

Germany faced immense backlash for its initial lackluster support for Ukraine, infamously sending Kyiv's troops 5,000 helmets in the lead-up to the invasion as other NATO allies deployed anti-tanks missiles, drones, ammunition and weaponry.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko notably mocked Germany’s shipment and said, "What kind of support will Germany send next? Pillows?"

Germany has upped its defensive aid for Ukraine, though Berlin has continued to face some backlash at home and abroad for vacillating on the amount of support it has provided.

France, which has been a strong supporter of Ukraine, was apparently caught by surprise when Russian President Vladimir Putin announced his "special military operation" on Feb. 24 – though French President Emmanuel Macron traveled to Moscow just weeks prior to the invasion to urge Putin to keep the peace.

Macron returned with alleged assurances from Putin that he would not escalate the crisis that was then mounting on Ukraine’s borders, where Russia continued to amass troops.

"Be in no doubt that the French were in denial right up until the last moment," Johnson said.

France’s head of military intelligence was fired in March for failing to predict Russia’s plans.

Johnson also called out Italy’s initial response, which was then under Mario Draghi, who "at one stage simply [said] that they would be unable to support the position we were taking" due to its "massive" reliance on Russian hydrocarbons.

Though once Russia invaded Ukraine, the attitudes of previously reluctant EU nations changed, Johnson said.

"What happened was everybody – Germans, French, Italians, everybody, [President] Joe Biden – saw that there was simply no option," he said. "Because you couldn’t negotiate with this guy [Putin]. That’s the key point."

"The EU has done brilliantly," he continued. "After all my anxieties … I pay tribute to the way the EU has acted. They have been united."

You don't really know Russians . . . except the myths of the Soviet Union although you are certain they eat babies.
For the life of me, I'm really sick of such propaganda like what you just said!!! You make it sound like they ate babies alive. I tell you they did not. It's a lie.

They baked them alive, then ate them when fully cooked.

That will be interesting to see if it is true. Particularly where and how they deploy them. The West will put a big bounty on getting a hold of one of these.

I have been following the development of the T14 for years. Its ups and downs, rumors, etc. Rumor as late as last month was that the Russians were shutting the program down to focus on upgrading older tanks. If it works as advertised it will be impressive. If it flops it will be the end of Russian arms exports.

Maybe Ukraine Should Hire Tom Bodett?

Since NATO supplied air defense systems are failing to stop Russia’s relentless missile attack on Ukraine’s electrical and power grid, may be it is time for Volodymyr Zelensky to bring in Tom Bodett. Most U.S. residents know Tom Bodett because of his tag line in a Motel 6 commercial — i.e., “We’ll leave the light on for you.”

View: https://youtu.be/SLqGDDMBCyc

Bodett’s promise to keep a light on stands in stark contrast to the reality facing Kiev and Lviv and other major cities across Ukraine. Ukraine, even with NATO support, is struggling to keep the lights and heat on. It is a grim situation and will only get worse in the coming days as temperatures continue to plummet and Ukriane’s power generating system degenerates. Gonzalo Lira provides a report from the front lines on this reality.

Gonzalo sent me some additional comments that are salient:

So an electrical outage might be two hours or forever—you cannot find out while you’re waiting. This uncertainty is what I think will drive a HUGE number of people to lose their nerve and flee to the West. Which is why I think a second migration wave this winter is definitely coming to Europe, from Ukraine. And since this wave will not be by rail—obviously, because no electricity means no rail system—then it’s going to be by car. Which will be chaotic, disorganized, completely clogging up the roads as whatever vehicle is available will be used by civilians to get out. And of course, many of these vehicles will run out of gas in this parking lot, creating even more havoc.
There’s another factor: Heating cars. Most people keep their cars in heated garages during the winter. Car batteries die very quickly when it’s 15 below 0. If there’s no electricity, there’ll be no heat—so cars might not run, once winter fully sets in. That might factor into people’s decisions whether to leave or stay, or whether they CAN leave or stay. If your car battery is dead and there’s no electricity to charge it, your car becomes a tchotchke.
Bottom line, it’s going to get supremely ugly, if the power is permanently cut in Ukraine. Because it is not possible to survive in this winter climate without heat and water, and the entire infrastructure to deliver both is dependent on electricity, with no substitutes or practical large-scale workarounds.

The war in Ukraine has exposed the fact that United States and NATO do not have a viable anti-missile defense system that can shoot down Russian hyper sonic missiles. Russia enjoys a clear technological edge over the West, not just with viable hyper sonic missiles but with an integrated air defense system that is designed to shoot down hyper sonics that the West does not yet have in its inventory of weapons systems.

I had planned to write more on this but Andrei Martyanov beat me to the punch with his piece, Hypersonic Ad Nauseam On Thanksgiving. He writes:

There is some constant media “movement” and hassle around the US program of development of hypersonic weapons, which even a few short years ago, especially before March 2018, very many in the US in general, and Pentagon in particular, counted as a gimmick and boutique weapon systems. Boy, did they miscalculate. Now, suddenly, the United States are into hypersonics big time primarily into what could be defined as medium-range glide body for CPS (Conventional Prompt Strike). . . .

And here is the point of which we can now start talking confidently. As I write non-stop and ad nauseam–NO weapons system, even the most advanced exists in the technological and operational vacuum, the thing which Pentagon still didn’t learn. Real integration comes with REAL, that is making operational sense and impact, integration of weapon system into the network of other weapons and systems which operate as unified organism. And here is the point: the United States now is involved in a life and death struggle with Russia, trying to preserve its increasingly untenable (and grossly exaggerated) status of a hegemon. But! But, if Russian hypersonic weapons created a revolution in military affairs, American ones will fail to do so. Here is an interesting explanation from Colonel (Ret.) Knutov, who today is a Director of Russia’s Air Defense Forces museum. This is how he assesses the US program and the state of the affairs.

I encourage you to read the entire piece. One of the other major consequences of Russia’s campaign to turn off the electrical power in Ukraine is the psychological damage inflicted on the population. Gonzalo mentions this in his video above. The modern generation, whether in Ukraine or the United States, is accustomed to having information in real time and readily available. Very few in modern industrial nations know what it is like to be cut off from news about world events. That knowledge or information plays a key role in shaping public attitudes. I lived in rural Honduras in 1978. We only had electricity, thanks to a generator, two hours a night. If I was lucky I was able to pick up a BBC broadcast and get some idea of what is going on in the world.

What we will see in the coming weeks from Ukrainians who remain in darkened, electricity starved cities are people cut off from their political leadership and filled with a genuine feeling of being abandoned. This is not an imaginary condition. People will be compelled by the cold, the lack of heat and dead batteries to come up with some sort of survival strategy. This will erode dramatically Ukraine’s ability to maintain a viable army in the field. Soldiers who, until now, have been able to phone home and chat with loved ones will no longer have that lifeline to the outside world.

Have you ever been in a situation where you were separated from a loved one and could not communicate with them for more than 24 hours, especially when you do not know if they are alive or dead? During World War I, soldiers in the trenches in France had no expectation of any immediate communication. They depended on letters from home for news and those communications were delayed by days and even weeks. But we live in a different era and there is now an expectation of immediacy. Once expectations are set at a high level and a gap emerges where reality falls far short of the expectations, that is a recipe for unrest and even revolt.

Can you imagine the withdrawal the 20 and 30 year olds in Ukraine will experience when their phones and computers are dead and they can no longer text or call a friend? I am not sure the intelligence communities of various nations have even taken time to cogitate on the implications of such a development. The most likely outcome is that people will vote with their feet and go to where they can charge their phones and make a call. This means mass emigration into neighboring countries with viable power girds.

What do you think?

If I were the Ukes I would not do a whole lot of boasting about their railways. My recollection has it they blew up a rail section of a Russian rail a couple months back. Pay back may not be any fun at all. With most of Ukraine in the dark and fuel supplies running low, it would not be too hard to knock out all rail transport. Just hit the trestles and bridges or knockout locomotives on the move.

I must say this tank is very impressive! But, still a death trap unless it has a way to fend off missiles, drone projectiles and other tank killers. Some sort of air defense system would almost have to be deployed in unison with this tank's battle field use, or it will quickly become blood soaked scrap iron like any other tank.

Depends on the ratio of all-electric vs diesel power. If most are electric, they'll be running token trains but hardly business as usual.
Just as a note:

If you view the train tracks and there isn't any power lines over the tracks, then its the way intothegoodnight stated, and probably Doc1. Just caught a glimpse of his as I was going back to make sure who stated what.

It's the same way here, diesel electric.

Excellent analysis! The impact of a lack of electricity has been reviewed on this board for years - EMP - specifically the loss of the step up/down transformers which can not be replaced (year or so build time). It appears Russia is targeting these transformers and not the power plants. Given these system were built by Russia it is very unlikely they can be replaced by the US / EU. Only question is will the West (US / NATO / EU) use this massive migration out of Ukraine as an excuse for direct intervention - a humanitarian action - has been used many times in the past. It is still not clear if the US will toss in the towel on this mess (after milking as much $$$ as possible) or doubling down with direct action.
Without question the next month or so could well be world changing.
