I have fine wavy/curly hair and am well stocked. I've found that mixing the conditioner half and half with water extends it and still works well.I have long curly hair. All of my girls do too. We are well stocked, but I doubt I could ever have too much. lol
I have so much shampoo I could not order any for 2 years probably but just checked. First picture is the cost when I ordered it in May. What it is now and not from the same supplier- they were out of stock. Doubled in price

I love how bacon is it's own food group.
The HyVee ad today has canned green beans or corn 2/88¢ which is the lowest price I've seen in a long time. No limit mentioned in the ad. Wonder if they will allow purchases of an entire flat?
I noticed that today putting together an Instacart order. 11 something for a filet mignon steak. Didn't say how many oz.not a horrible price....but notice how they aren't selling it by the pound....?

You know, I hate the idea of those cans, but I've got to say, 8ve never had one go bad. I had some canned peaches and pears from 2014 we ate them up finally last fall, and the cans were still sealed perfectly.Hmmmm wonder if these are the pop top cans?
I LOVE Pantene, but don't buy it unless it's on sale at CVS or I have a money coupon. Mostly I buy VO-5 and one other well-known brand that's always $1/bottle. Works just as well, but doesn't smell like Pantene.
I'm set there: plenty of shampoo bars and coconut oil! LOL!
I have a ton of Suave and VO5 as well but I like Pantene. I've never been told I have smelly hair LOL
I stock Cocoa for my taste of chocolate.Damn! Walmart is out of stock of GHIRARDELLI chocolate bars.
Since I have slightly oily hair, I use Suave Daily Clarifying shampoo. I've tried a lot of different brands, but this works well for me. It's for oily hair. Also, I have used ECOS plant based dish wash on my hair for shampoo. That works great for those who have oily hair, without stripping it. It's really gentle on hands and hair. I buy the grapefruit scented, LOL. Dawn dishwash works good, too. I like having alternatives to alternatives.

Most of the granulated garlic (which I buy by the pound) seems to be from China, even Azure Standard & Frontier. I finally bought Kirkland California garlic from Azure. (They also have minced.) That was last month, though....I should go check...Stock up on spices, folks. Local stores have ZERO garlic or onion powder in ANY brand. I went to Amazon to get some, and others are reporting shortages nationwide.
If you can find it locally, it would be wise to put some in your preps.

Dairy, had to search for plain cottage cheese, bought 2 smaller containers, realized when I got home one was fat free, bummer. All kinds of cottage cheese if you wanted chive or other flavors.
That surprises you somehow?I love how bacon is it's own food group.
I’ve had to go to Amazon more and more often as the months have gone by. Local stores are out of things I want.Local stores have ZERO garlic or onion powder in ANY brand. I went to Amazon to get some, and others are reporting shortages nationwide.
I just ordered 12 cans of Hormel sausage hash. If you’ve never heard of it,I’m not surprised. It’s the best of all the different kinds.Had reach deep for a can of corned beef hash.
I believe it.I went to the local H-E-B for a semi-major shop. I have to do that when I run out of many things at roughly the same time. I went to checkout with not even half a cart full. Normally, what I got would’ve cost just over $100. Yesterday however, it was $175!!! Absolutely unreal.
That was how I figured it, too! But then prices started climbing fast, and I learned how to raise almost everything. Can't imagine what our food bill would have been with 4 teens!I believe it.
It's surreal for me to remember back to when I was first married (the ancient Egypt days, ), going to the grocery store for a full or semi-major shop averaged out to be right at $10 per stuffed brown paper grocery bag. That included meat, chicken, eggs, etc; produce; spices; canned goods; laundry/household cleaners and paper products; dairy; maybe throw in a treat or a women's magazine while standing in the checkout, etc. - in other words, shopping the whole store. A big family pack of ground chuck that I'd divide into one or two pound packages - 29¢ a pound (and it was on sale frequently for that price). That $10/bag was a fairly consistent average for quite some time, too. I'd walk out of the store with four or five bags and that would last us a good while.
Decided to make a night time grocery trip due to the talk here at tb2k and to see what's happening there at night now that they're open until 11pm.
First off, there were a lot of Asians shopping and it was a bit unsettling hearing them all singsong on their phones about grocery shopping. Don't know if they were talking to people at home about the grocery list or if they were doing research. Maybe they were stocking up.
Bagged fresh broccoli crowns still in short supply. Recent times only a few bags or no bags. No organic carrots or celery. Still got some conventional. Tons of avocados.
The store had a lot of empty spots. More than last time. Pasta, got my Barilla stuffed cheese pastas, but not a lot of choices compared to usual. Lightly stocked shelves and missing stuff. Chicken bone broth in the box, bought 3 and left 4. Plenty of standard broth and stock. Bread and rolls, empty spaces, got my bread, but again only a few on shelf.
Dairy, had to search for plain cottage cheese, bought 2 smaller containers, realized when I got home one was fat free, bummer. All kinds of cottage cheese if you wanted chive or other flavors.
Broke down and decided to treat myself to some sweet snacks, ice cream novelties, and I had a coupon. More holes and sparsely stocked, stuff pulled forward, other stuff had to look way in the back. Got my italian ices, watermelon and strawberry. Also grabbed some chocolate dipped coconut ice cream bars; they skimp on the chocolate covering now.
Check spices, actually more stocked than the last time I looked, but this isn't quite as upscale a store so not so many scratch cooks. Got another thing of onion and garlic powders just to stay ahead.
Had reach deep for a can of corned beef hash.
Glad I went, but I'm not left with a good feeling. I'm thinking back to grocery shopping 2 years ago. Used to be fun, a good experience. Now, even with the masks and arrows gone, it doesn't feel at all back to normal.
Forgot to get chocolate.
I can imagine. Had 7 sons. I vow they would have eaten the drywall if they could find catsup to put on it!That was how I figured it, too! But then prices started climbing fast, and I learned how to raise almost everything. Can't imagine what our food bill would have been with 4 teens!

Ancient here too! 1970's groceries for 2 adults for a week was about $20.
Went to Dollar Tree yesterday. I was able to get onion powder, garlic powder, and garlic salt.
Have you smelled Whole Blends? All of their stuff smells so good.Yup, Suave is the other one. Couldn't think of it at the moment. Well, the thing is -- yes, those have different fragrances too, and most of them are nice, but they just don't smell like Pantene, which is the prettiest of them all.
I was so thankful that I had only daughters, as I'd seen what my five brothers had done to Mom's fridge and pantry; they were like a plague of locusts. THEN my daughters reached their teens! It looked like the locusts were back! That was how I figured it, too! But then prices started climbing fast, and I learned how to raise almost everything. Can't imagine what our food bill would have been with 4 teens!
