At the end of January, there was a spreadsheet with predicted cases.
I thought I would review it and see how were were doing
Never mind - it needs some major updating -

They are "rationing" in England and Ireland but only in the sense that many shops only allow one or two of each item or certain items.

There has been talking of real food rationing in the UK (I posted it here) but so far it hasn't materialized but I fully expect it to.

Not sure about the Irish Republic, that would depend on how bad things got; the government here might bend over backward to keep doing it by the current method; to give the appearance of free choice.

I'm sure they will ration if things get dire enough, but the US might need to do so too.

That's what the rough evidence looks like. You've got a long wait if you're expecting a memo.
On the Influenza page at the CDC.gov website:

The number of deaths was estimated to be at least 50 million worldwide with about 675,000 occurring in the United States.

Other estimates have reached as high as 100 million dead worldwide.

I give up.
KABOOM, Mz Kitty. LA has 5 dead homeless and Oregon hasn't updated their figures since Monday morning. Which is when the beach hordes from the 21st would start confirming. Both Portland and LA put the homeless hordes in stadiums and we know what happens when that happens. Any find Oregon's figures for today.?

Not today yet, but here's an article from yesterday:

Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont said the state reached a “tragic milestone” with the death of an infant with coronavirus.
“A 6-week-old newborn from the Hartford area was brought unresponsive to a hospital late last week and could not be revived,” Lamont tweeted. "Testing confirmed last night that the newborn was Covid-19 positive. This is absolutely heartbreaking. We believe this is one of the youngest lives lost anywhere due to complications relating to Covid-19."

Coronavirus Pandemic Update 47: Searching for Immunity Boosters & Possible Lessons From Spanish Flu
•Mar 31, 2020 Dr. Roger Seheult

As global COVID-19 infections continue to increase rapidly, Dr. Seheult continues his discussion on possible strategies to promote a robust immune system, including a nod to the past with hydrotherapy techniques. Interestingly, these techniques were used during the Spanish Flu Pandemic of 1918 and there are reports about a significant benefit to patients who participated. Initiating studies or attaining data from randomized controlled trials for techniques practiced in the “pre-antibiotic era” is a challenge. you have to refresh the whole page. Just hitting the little cross won't do that. This is Oregon. They have a proven history of not knowing how to design web pages.

What rough evidence? By the counts I'm seeing, we're closing onto 1 million cases worldwide. Cases, not deaths. Evidence is data. There is no data showing 20 to 30 million worldwide deaths.
Depends on how long this goes on. All things considered I think we will be competing with the Spanish Flu for number of deaths in the end. Remember that was over a period of several years and we are less than 6 months into this.

There's actually a thread on here talking about this. I've always liked him, but I am dismayed with how he has down-played this. He has an audience of millions who trust him. It affects me personally because a person in my household is blowing this off, in part, because of Rush. So here I am, in a high risk category, and it's a battle at my house right now. Rush has tarnished his legacy with this, as far as I am concerned.

The other person who really disappointed me was Judge Jeanine. She went from one Saturday worse than Rush to completely changing her tune without skipping a beat the next Saturday. Like the previous Saturday never happened.

You may be correct, but we are not at those numbers. As of today, the current known count is at just under a million cases, and approaching 50 thousand deaths.

The official count from China is under 4,000 dead. If that works for you, use it.

Don't put words in my digital mouth. I'm not going by their numbers, they are only a component of the worldwide total. Yes, they almost certainly lied bigly. You can "think" they lied enough to get to 30-50 million dead, but you certainly don't know.

You are throwing numbers around like you know things, and you don't.

You should not state as fact that which is conjecture.

Colorado governor speaks with Chinese factory owners and others to purchase medical equipment

Colorado Gov. Jared Polis announced in a press briefing on Wednesday that the state has been talking to Chinese factory owners, and others, to purchase medical equipment.
"We know that not having gotten nearly enough from the federal government, we have really taken it upon ourselves as a state to engage in the purchasing of medical equipment," Polis said.
According to the governor, Colorado has a "monumental task" at hand to build medical capacity at this critical time. And the state is not just facing a healthcare crisis; it is also facing a supply chain crisis, Polis added.

"We simply do not have the medical capacity, the beds, hospital beds, ICU units, ventilators, personal protection equipment to treat everybody who might get sick and have the potential to get better," the governor said. "We placed a number of purchase orders, and we have a number of supplies that are in transit or in the supply chain, all subject to verification. We want to verify that the masks work and that they are not counterfeit."

By the numbers: Colorado has ordered 2.5 million N95 Masks, 750 ventilators, 1.5 million gloves, one million surgical masks, 25,000 face shields and 250,000 gowns, according to the governor.

Colorado has a total of 3,338 coronavirus cases with 77 deaths, according to CNN's tally.

It is clear from my statements that I'm giving my opinion. Anyone is free to accept or reject it.

My apologies. It sounded like a statement oof fact, it was certainly worded that way. I will assume that all your statements are purely your opinion unless you state otherwise, going forward.
