…… Lesion on Tongue won't Heal

I'm hoping to get a mouth guard made next month when I get my replacement crown.
I advise getting one from the store. I was going to get one from dentist and would have been about $400! Heck no.

I think others put up some on here. You heat it a tad and it fits fine. You can also replace it when you need to. If that doesn’t work, then I would have dentist do it.

Friend of mine uses store bought and says it’s as good as the one he had from dentist. And he lives and dies by his dentist. I think they inject him with some mind drug so he keeps coming back.

Neither here nor there.
I now have a mouth guard. Yeah that wasn’t cheap at all. Still what insurance will pay it for if anything.

That said I should have requested this years if nor decades earlier. Seriously.

Insurance really should be paying for this in the long run health wise this is peanuts.

My mouth feels better, when I insert my mouth guard correctly everything is okay, and the best part my teeth are no longer spreading.

When my mouth guard is inserted probably, my teeth are ****ed up ten ways to Sunday, I no longer grind my poor tongue or my cheeks.

Seriously how could insurance not embrace this kind of stuff.

Same reason insurance won't pay for lasik eye surgery. If they actually fixed the problem you wouldn't need the services they offer all the time. Glasses cost every year. Why only get a couple thousand when they can get you over a lifetime?

I also think plastic surgery should be covered. If people can get sex reassignment surgery paid for with medical health insurance, why can't I go in and have some minor (in comparison) Boob lift (so I can breath and stand up straight) and a tummy tuck from having two kids and gaining and losing a thousand pounds in a lifetime? What I mean is this, if you can get your whole body changed because you FEEL like your trapped in the wrong body, why can't I have the same latitude? I want to feel better about myself too and breathing and standing up without my back hurting would make me feel pretty good about myself! Not to mention just feeling better.

I have been using one tablespoon, you can cut it down to one teaspoon of Braggs Organic Apple Cider in a 8 oz glass of distilled or purified water to drink once a day.

My normal detox drink is a pitcher with 48 ounces distilled water, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice and 1 tablespoon of cranberry juice, 100 % with NO SUGAR. Finally, make one bag of dandelion root tea with hot water, let it steep and then pour and mix into your pitcher.
The Apple Cider helped with some leuko placia I have had issues with.

Behold, I am coming soon.
Have a lesion on the right side of my tongue, it's from a really bad bite, that's not healing. It was sorta healed, and then I accidentally bit my tongue again. I also realized that I'm grinding my teeth when I sleep, working on getting a dental dam for that issue, and I sometimes catch the side of my tongue. The cpap mask doesn't help any either.

Well anyway, doc wants to biopsy and we're talking a huge hole here... so I'm wondering what I can try, over the counter/herbal wise to get it healed up. I have oil of oregano, but am not sure how to use it... it was one of the suggestion in my google search but didn't see how to use the stuff, apply it directly, dilute and then apply? I'm going to order some l-lysine and some colloidal silver to see if that will help. I know there's some honey from down under that's also supposed to work but I don't remember the name.

Suggestions would be helpful because that prescription oral mouthwash the doc ordered is one not only nasty but also contains saccharine which gives me horrible migraines.

I have been doing salt water rinses and have tried peroxide, the peroxide had no affect on the area at all.

One of various forms of cancer....common in the mouth also. RUN to have biopsies.

Properly done, they work well for snoring, also.

I'm surprised the peroxide rinse didn't help. I've used it on denture sores and it works every time. I used a capful of peroxide in a glass of water and swished/held for half a minute or so, then spit it out. Good luck with finding something that works.

Well thanks to mass paranoia about the virus and the vaccine in one of the Mast cell groups I belong to I found out about olive leaf complex! Turns out olive leaf extract is an anti fungal, the meds the doc prescribed for the thrush in my mouth did no work well at all, the Olive Leaf complex works, even if it does taste nasty!

Yes, as long as its extract, and not flavoring.

Be careful with peroxide.. its great for bubbling junk out of contaminated injuries once, but it burns tissue and can retard healing.

Sigh... I've got a Wound Heal gel that has shown amazing results in healing slow to heal wounds (including diabetic ulcers in 2 cases), but I don't know how well it would work in the short time it could be held in the mouth. I do know its safe to ingest...I guess I just wouldn't be comfortable recommending it for that... not as the first guinea pig, so to speak.

Prayers that its nothing- I'm serious about the extract. It kills the pain of cancer sores and makes them a 3-4 day problem, rather than 14 days. Worth a try.
