Tetn = (1/6) n(n+1)(n+2)
Pyrn = Tetn-1 + Tetn = (1/6)(n-1)n(n+1) + (1/6)n(n+1)(n+2) = (1/6)n(n+1)(2n+1)
Sum of integers squared (very partial quote)

n=4.

Tet4 = 4x5x6/6 = 20 if the figure is hollow behind
Pyr4 = 4x5x9/6 = 30 if the figure is symmetrical behind.

Of course, this is ridiculous, but if you had 10 rows it's not so ridiculous.

Tet10 = 10x11x12/6 = 220
Pyr10 = 10x11x21/6 = 385

Might work with square items, but eggs can't be balanced like that. :p :)

But nice math!

Well it is either 17 white eggs due to the question is asking how many white eggs

Or 1 white egg due to there is only 1 white egg in the question.

It depends on how you translate the question asked. The question specially asks.

How many eggs? And it shows one white egg with a ?.

So the question gives the answer.

It never asked how many eggs are in the picture provided.

At least that is how I translate the question.

I predict the boss will not give an answer anytime soon. If it drops back too many pages, he'll just keep bumping the damn thing to the top to see how many more he can drag into this mess. :gaah: :lol:

My Grandpa Del pulled a related stunt on me. "If a hen and a half lays an egg and a half in a day and a half, how many eggs will six hens lay in seven days?" For years, I drew pictures, did the math, and usually came up with 42. He always said, "No, that's not the answer."

One day, he left to pick up his dogs at The Rainbow Bridge, and took his answer with him. Dennis: DO NOT go to The Bridge until you properly end this!

We’re quite the eclectic bunch….
And the depth of the JOYS we have found and shared as a community over the years along with the depth of DESPAIR (doom) we have collectively experienced and as unique individuals shared with one another is incredibly precious, for us as a community and for each of us as individuals. After 23 years with many in this crowd, I am both incredibly grateful to be here and very humbled.
I have been very bad and hateful at times and I have been very supporting, loving, prayerful at times as well.
I keep coming back for you all and for me too.
I know, might be too mushy for a lot of you. Get over yourselves. LOL!

They can be glued.

Fun fact: epoxy fails in warm weather. I used perfectly normal epoxy to glue a cutting board together, it had broken in half. As promised the joint was stronger than the surrounding wood, for several months.

Well in some 95 degree weather this summer the glue became soft and failed.

He's going to milk this for all that it's worth. (Oh wait... I shouldn't have said "milk". Next question will be cows and milk... how much milk can you get from x white cows and y brown cows and z brown-and-white cows, or something like that.)

Or stacking different color cows

My first answer was zero.......I’m changing my answer to......infinity....eggs hatch a chick, chick has multiple eggs....they hatch....more chicks, more eggs....to the moon:chg:

I solved it in my head. Then continued to read this thread. Now my head hurts because my brain got scrambled because of all the eggs.

There are as many eggs in the pile as there are demerits taken from me for getting Roy Hobbs angry with me for teasing him. So, 24.
