maff IS hard, but i want it duly noted that i did submit an answer that i did some thinking about and stopped short of going to the the fridge and getting eggs to set this up to check.
i was gonna, but i thought that would be going too far.

That would be her speaking to the chicken, trying to get its egg...um, vote. But at this point, what difference does it make? There is no paper trail connecting this egg to a particular chicken, so it's impossible to determine which chicken cast that ballot....I mean egg.... which is exactly why there are 30 eggs there and only 27 birds who identify as chickens. Three of them are identifying as roosters even though they can't help but lay eggs, anonymously.

Assuming that egg stack is legit.....(how TF do you stand eggs on end with others on top?)
My answer is 16. As there are only 16 white eggs as shown in the question. I don't think the top egg is true white, but maybe that's my phone color resolution.
