Oh, I dunno. There's a tank 4 miles down the road that's around 20K gallons or more. I wonder if it isn't for the town of around 100 a half mile away. Rather than pipe in natural gas that is. When we moved here there was a 2nd one about half that size sitting next to it but it was removed 4 years ago. Would love to have an acreage with a tank like that full up. Should be around 10 years worth.

As far as a shortwave radio, look for a ham set with general receive, the key is there are many with blown finals that cost more to fix than they are worth but still receive just fine. Look on marketplace or at a hamfest(look on arrl site for hamfest list). Have them power it up and attach a wire to the antenna jack and see if you can pull in the local am stations.

Well the problem is this. You need a "start" which doesn't really help. How to make a "start" is the real issue.

You can make your own starter from flour and water successfully. It's super easy. I believe Farmhouse on Boone is where I got my recipe from. If you can't find the recipe, message me and I will respond when I have a bit more time tomorrow.

So, my question is: How do you keep it from dying? If the temperature isn’t warm enough, it dies a sad death.

I haven't had that issue. We heat with wood, so our house stays warm. I leave it on the counter and use the discard daily once it's ready to use. Pancakes, pizza dough, cinnamon rolls, whatever you want to make really.

Here's what I don't understand.

He took over for Rush Limbaugh. Rush was completely in control of every aspect of his business. He had over a year to plan who would take the helm, yet he didn't. Why. It seems as though he would want to have controlled his legacy.
So, why didn't he. Did some agency have dirt on him?

I don't trust Bongino, or any of them. They're in it for the money and ratings. I should give full disclosure here and state that I don't listen to any of them as I believe most of them to be shills.

How did you get from point A to point B?

Rush's show worked with Premier syndication, Dan was not the replacement in all markets as he didn't work for Premier. Link.

As to Bongino, while his eyes look kind of crazy, what he says does not appear to be controled opposition speak. Is he saying things to get listeners? I would say he believes what he is saying, which might happen to get him listeners at this time.

When he was upset about changing house speakers without a clear path to getting a conservative replacement, he might have lost some listeners.

Dan appears to be legit. I don't think he is saying he has inside info on the blackout, just that he thinks Obama would have info and connects the dots to believe that this is a warning.

Sorry but that’s not how it works. Rush didn’t get to choose a successor in perpetuity. Premier Networks syndicated his show and they offered radio stations Buck and Clay. Some stations took them and others took Bongino which is syndicated by Westwood One. I am not sure how Buck and Clay are doing these days but Bongino has tripled the amount of stations carrying him. It’s over 300 last I heard. Like Bongino I do my job for the money also.

Right.

Also I would argue that Mark Kaye has done the best job at somewhat replacing the king of talk radio. If Herman Cain or Walter E. Williams was still alive, Kaye would of had to fill in for them, like they did for Rush!

Don't doubt me!

Going back to January of this year wife was watching some religious stuff that she does all the time and they were talking about big blackout's this coming winter and to prepare for it.

With a base station and hand held MURS radios, they provide good communications and an alarm speaking which alarm is going off.
The motion sensor will detect people or vehicles up to 100' away and then will send a signal to the receiver up to 1 mile away.

And of course guns and ammo.

I hate to say it but security, and medical can take down everything in a night, thus, start preparing with the Lord.
