Neither here nor there.
Watching it live on NBC right now, the main spire has collapsed, it was 96 feet tall.
Spire gone, most of the roof is fully involved now.
Still not seeing hoses deployed on the roof.
WTH?
Well, plenty of ashes for Wednesday.
As much as I hate Shepard Smith...he is reporting that NO water has been put on it to even try to bring it under control. WTF??? It has been burning for over 2 hours and no water?
So sad, I had hope for their historic pipe organ but now it looks like it is also gone.
Is it possible a yellow vest started this fire, is this what they're saying?
RB, again, given the materials and structure, you WON'T see hoses on the roof or the rest of the building. The construction methods for this building (as well as Hagia Sofia comes to mind) doesn't lend itself to fire fighting. That building was like a carefully laid fire....of 800 year old wood, and MANY layers of many kinds of paint accelerant.
According to some tweets, Macron said to let it burn.
Never let a crises go to waste. Watch! I'd bet Macron and crew are plotting already.

Not an acceptable response in my opinion.
