Listening to Michael Rivera right now and he just said that the sheriff deputy thought to have ebola last week is still in the hospital. Hasn't been released yet. Maybe a second test said he was infected and they are covering it up?

Just gets weirder and weirder doesn't it

i have been looking for info on younger jallah but cant find anything after 10/4. i find the same basic interview repeated by fox, cnn, wall st journal and all dated 10/4 with same text, questions, responses. in it she says she is fearful she and her kids have been exposed to ebola from duncan and is not hugging her children or sharing any dishes.

cant find anything more current.

i find it kinda interesting that there are no interviews of how are you doing, how is your mom, --you know all that human interest stuff reporters love to do sticking a microphone in peoples faces--HOW DO YOU FEEL .......

nothing.

if she really was safe and ebola free---why arent reporters crawling all over her? or has she been whisked away too? if im missing something, someone please let me know.

just tried some more searches with her name and still, nothing since the 4th. i think she has been tucked away

Along with this path, has anyone heard/seen anything about the Dallas officials who visited the Duncan Family when they were in the appartment?

oh wow, wiseowl, i didnt know that. i had thought at the time he had the first test that it might have been too early and he would need a second after a few days when the viral load was high enough to detect. i hope that isnt it, i hope he will be fine and the others too

Yes, it does. Wasn't there a picture of this deputy smiling as he left the hospital?

As to Duncan's family, I can't believe that some industrious reporter hasn't dropped a cell phone down their chimney by now.

The Dallas newspaper says Deputy Monnig held a news conference on Friday after his release. Did Mr. Rivera have a source for his info? I'm not familiar with him.

Yes, Judge Jenkins continues to stand upright, Mayor Mike Rawlins went door to door Sunday alerting neighbors that nurse in their area had tested positive for Ebola, Jennifer Staubach Gates is still around, haven't heard otherwise.

I am not understanding why there is, such a limit on facilities. I live in a remote rural area. I have toured the field tent facility we have with decontamination washing areas for hazmat suits and bed facilities for infectious disease. It even has its own heating and air. I don't understand why these types of facilities can't be employed to keep the infection out of the bricks and mortar major medical facilities that don't have level 4 facilities. At least these can be destroyed afterwards if they become contaminated. It seems like they would isolate the infectious process better.
Exactly..Remember the Haiti quake and how Tent Facilities were set up? There is so much rural ground in the USA in all states to do this but the problem will come in when the Drs. and Nurses refuse to treat Ebola Pts. under any circumstance.

Aliens7, one of the first social and system impacts of a serious plague is the collapse of government authority. "They" may try to do whatever they want, but if enough people tell them to screw off, the powers that be options will be limited.

We have seen in West Africa and Nigeria health care workers will flatly refuse to work with Ebola patients. The military has a very finite pool of potential medical people to work with.

Ebola will have a political impact on how people view the current system and especially whether they will obey it. At a minimum we will see civil disobedience, outright refusal to obey government officials, and if the government tries to hard perhaps violence.

If the choice is between obeying the government, and possibly dying, or disobeying the government and living, people will ignore the powers that be. If the powers that be then try to use violence to get compliance, we will see a violent reaction. Reagan and the Air Traffic controllers was never a life and death issue, but forcing somebody to care for an Ebola victim is.

wow..just in my face wow. Unbelievable that this complete F-U is going down.
God bless the TRUCKERS out there is another thought that is close to home. They're always moving...always...

I imagine a family member flew in as the transfusion needed a cross-match and typing... I could be wrong.

I hate to be a part of this but I am with you in my mind (Survival Mode) spot on DD...spot on. It will be a line that must not be crossed. No one needs to die over this but TPTB who allowed this need to be held accountable for Humanitarian Crimes,IMHO..LIARS ALL!

So this is it? When you're quarantined you lose all rights? You are hidden away forbidden to join in on internet discussions? Do they take all your devices making it impossible to communicate with the outside world? Or do they let you keep them and make you THINK you are communicating with family/friends but in reality on the other side of your device, you are communicating with some dirtball worm CDC agent whose job it is is to be a ghost friend impersonating all your contacts?

Wouldn't be surprised if these people are detained in some way without outside comms. I doubt they've got anyone ghost friending. No way they could pull that off without me catching on right off the bat.

Does isolation mean you can have NO contact with outside world at all?? No phone, cell phone, skype etc. Is the daughter now with the others? No word or interviews with her.

I wish someone in the MSM would follow up on this and get a real update. Are they invisible by their own choice or are they invisible by legal action?

It does seem they have been kidnapped.

Just adds to the doubt and uncertainty in my opinion.

eta:

CNN going to speak to someone about the spanish nurse,,wrote a letter very upset that she was blamed. Said she only had 30 minutes of training by a coworker on putting on equpt. ( I thought it was the dallas nurse husband)

I emailed a local "investigative reporter" stating that many people want to SEE the family. No response yet...

Probably an ebola survivor. If "he", maybe Dr. Brantley, Dr. Sacra is the only other male survivor in the US that I have heard of, but Dr. Sacra recently got another illness but is supposedly okay now.

Dallas nurse receives transfusion from Ebola survivor Dr. Kent Brantly.

Updated at 6:44 p.m.: Dallas nurse Nina Pham received a blood transfusion from another Ebola patient as part of her treatment, her family's priest Father Jim Khoi said.

Though isolated for treatment, the young nurse's spirits are high and she is doing relatively well so far, said Khoi, the priest at Our Lady of Fatima.

"She's doing well," said Khoi, who was updated on her condition by Pham's mom. "She's very comfortable. She's very supported now. She knows that everybody knew to pray for her especially in this difficult time."

A Samaritan's Purse spokesman said that at the request of the hospital, Dr. Kent Brantly went to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas on Sunday to donate plasma.

This is the third time Brantly has done so since recovering from Ebola. He also donated to NBC News freelance cameraman Ashoka Mukpo and aid worker Dr. Rick Sacra, who left the Nebraska Medical Center virus-free in September.

Not at all. Quarantine means simple physical isolation, distancing from outside contact. What you're talking about is imprisonment, which is possibly what the Duncan family is going through. Those are two different things. Many may be quarantined, but few are muzzled.

Right now, the reporters who have the chance to ask the hard questions are not yet radicalized enough to ask them, but they're getting close. The ones who are asking the right questions (you, for example) are not in the news conferences.

Something is coming, something with harder edges and plainer speaking than we have seen in a generation.

I do not understand why there is no news of T. E. Duncan's family...nothing, nada, zip....You would think at least his girlfriend would have Ebola by now....

I wonder if the health worker was in the ER or treated him when T. E. Duncan was in isolation....should be interesting if they let us know at the press conference...sure hope they do.
CNN is talking about it now saying the CDC is bringing in a team to teach the healthcare workers on better care of patients with Ebola.

The main stream media often sweeps (important) news under the rug.

The NBC news crew that returned from Africa after one of its photographers contracted Ebola is reportedly under a mandatory quarantine now because Dr. Nancy Snyderman may have violated the self-imposed quarantine.

On Thursday in Princeton, New Jersey, Snyderman, NBC's chief medical correspondent, was reportedly spotted by many people "sitting in her car outside of the Peasant Grill in Hopewell Boro":

A reader reported that a man who was with her got out of the car and went inside the restaurant to pick up a take-out order. Another man was in the back seat of her black Mercedes. Snyderman had sunglasses on and had her hair pulled back, the reader said.

A day after Snyderman was spotted, "New Jersey officials issued a mandatory quarantine order Friday night" for Snyderman and her NBC crew "after they said a voluntary 21-day isolation agreement was violated." State officials, "citing privacy concerns," would not tell the AP "who violated the agreement and how the state learned of a violation."[/B]

As TVNewser noted, "Snyderman's cameramen, freelancer Ashoka Mukpo, was diagnosed with the disease on Oct. 2 and was flown to Nebraska for treatment last Sunday."

This are exactly the circumstances where a mandatory quarantine is warranted; the damn fool quarantinees won't stay put. they're supposed to have more sense than that. Don't they know that you can get take-our orders delivered? At least it's nice to know that they have good appetites so far.

AIRborne. Just in time for flu season. If this ain't engineered, planned, worked and dropped on us by ISIS and their dear leader Obama then I am a Muslim.

That was pretty subtle of ISIS to hit Guinea first, eight months ago, knowing that we'd get our first case just in time for the flu season.

Isis is not normally known for such subtlety. In fact, there's been nothing subtle about the movement at all.

They are infiltrating infected unsubs through the border.
