to be honest that was my thought as well . . . somebody was unhappy about the relationship between those two wo,en and THEY were excluded . . . either an "ex" or a "wanna be but wasn't gonna happen male" . . . who knows - perhaps that "relationship" extended even to the male -female couple who were also murdered - but the real marks were the two girls

Yes, It could be a variety of weapons. None of which anyone finds any easier to use after being assaulted via awakening to a soon to be lethal stab in their sleep- but he referenced anti- GUN folk, so I went with that.


There's no reason to think it's lesbianism, in fact, the Jack that was being called was the BF of one of the victims iirc.

There are rumours swirling about a possible sugar daddy-sugar baby or fans only thing that could have gone sideways, but nothing credible out there to substantiate that that I've seen so far.

There's also probably something at the scene itself that led them to call it 'targeted' tho I'd suggest you not let your imaginations fill in those blanks, it's hard enough to shake this crime out of one's head as it is....in my experience, at least.

There was a big game that weekend, and it was 'father-son' ? weekend, and I think a nearbye engineering firm was having in town seminars or some such as well, so throwing in the upcoming holiday weekend, the crazy transiet nature of a college town was multiplied, and there were even more people floating all around, making it exponentially more difficult to get down to the tasks of sorting people.

You know I too love my blades, but I don't know that you can train to increase your reflexes enough to take on an armed and homicidal inclined individual from your sleep- let alone an alcohol fueled sleep :(

What they needed, above all else, was some perimeter CONTROL and security- cameras, alarms, locks, more dogs, etc.

I remember when we had the issue o' home invasions here I ended up concluding that alone I cannot monitar all of the buildings and grounds on the small holding, or even my personal home- and ended up deciding what I needed to control was the safety of my sleeping area, and be sure it could be made secure and had two measures of entrance/egress and of course, always charged phones, and an assortment o' tools with which I was competent, the main one of course being mindset and awareness of potentials and having gamed out responses.

I tell ya, I alerted a few times to sound last night, to a degree I hadn't for years : (
I only wish those kids had, and it had been enough to protect them.

In my profession opinion (for whatever that's worth) is that this is a 'Crime of Opportunity.'

Someone saw them drunk, which they were reported to be at the taco stand, saw an easy mark and followed them home waiting for the house to go silent and then sneak in. I'd be willing to bet, the videos of them at the taco stand has the killer(s) in them.

Just because the officials are saying there was no rape, doesn't mean there wasn't.. They may be holding back evidence in order not to spook the killer(s). And then there are people who get their rocks off just by killing. They don't need to have the sex part.

i THINK Ethan was still living, at least officially, in fraternity housing, and the girls (plus the two other living renters) all had shared that off campus housing on King n Queen row, which was the crime scene: 1122 king.

They seem to be pushing, right now, or at least one line of thinking that it's maybe a military type wanna be who's acting out of being socially snubbed, who'll be known for his love of and knowledge of the weapons and culture, perhaps dressing the part etc etc etc.

I saw the results o' the data base search for similar such unsolved crimes and the # wasn't terribly large, but there are some. But, remember, speck, bundy and others who escape me at the moment concluded multiple kills their first time out.

(Via Dail Mail) – The man who was filmed with two of the four murdered Idaho students in their last hours has been ‘identified’ and is ‘cooperating with police,’ according to one of the victims’ sisters.

The young man’s name has not yet been made public but he was he was filmed walking up to a food truck with Madison Mogen and Kaylee Goncalves on Sunday at 1.45am – less than two hours before they were murdered in their home.

He was filmed standing near the girls but not speaking to them as they waited for their food from the truck. Once they were handed their order, the girls – who staff said appeared to be slightly intoxicated – walked off together, leaving him behind.

On Thursday night, Kaylee’s sister told Chris Cuomo on his NewsNation show that the boy had been identified. ‘I think a lot of people were curious about that person. We were able to identify him.

” What everybody is talking about now is not knowing why police are saying we don’t have to panic. Nobody is panicking necessarily… but no one is walking around at night either.” “And as far as I know, he has cooperated with the police. And that’s all that I know about that,’ she said. (link)

Yes, they've been putting out similar language on him and the two living girls for at least 24 hours or so now- that cooperating, not a person of interests etc. . .

A jilted lover, pissed off person, manic, etc. would not have the skills to do this unless they were exceptional, strong and knew how to expertly use a knife...

Given the strange way the Moscow police are acting, including lying for three days saying the community was not in danger, and the fact that the FIBs are now involved, I am suspicious. This is the thought that crossed my mind this morning. The government, in this case, may see an opportunity to exploit the victims as much as that gay Wyoming murder more than a decade ago. Right now, probably not so coincidentally, gay marriage and gay rights are in the news, and in Congress. I am sure that if those two were gay, or if the Feds decide to make them gay, they will push to put a nail in the coffin of conservatives and Christians, who believe in those traditions like marriage between a man and a woman. Trust me the progressives want a society where the rights of gays far outweigh the rights of everyone else. I am hopeful that this doesn't transpire right now, in this case. But, I am also cognizant of the Prophecies in scripture.

Knives do injury in three main ways.

Structural - damaging muscles and tendons.
Neurological - damaging nerves that control voluntary and involuntary movement.
Circulatory - damaging the heart and blood vessels.

Trained students are taught 'tactical anatomy,' how to most effectively do damage with the weapon at hand.

For some reason, in my mind I keep seeing the scene from Lord of the Rings where the Ringwraiths go up to the second floor of the prancing pony inn, stand next to the beds they believe the hobbits occupy, and then in a synchronized movement bring their swords down upon the beds (only to discover they were duped). It just seems impossible for one person to be able to kill four young healthy adults.

On the "how did they kill 4 healthy young adults?"... I'm guessing drugs and alcohol. Not uncommon for kids in the college scene to come home and take a "downer"...anything from pot to ambien... after a night out.

I think I read some had defensive wounds? So, likely the room/bed sharers (I haven't been watching closely enough to know the details) were at least roused, if not fully awakened by the blitz attack on their cosleeper... but I suspect they were badly impaired by fatigue, that deep sleep fog you fall into soon after falling asleep, and possibly substances.

Jilted lover/psycho stalker. Killed the girls, then killed the guy and girl because he was interrupted or afraid he would be.

The others were locked in their room, probably on another floor. Thus they lived.

All drunk, not able to defend themselves with any success.

You'd assume it was most likely the BF that just learned Kaylee wanted a break. . .but why would we be a week out and they still not have him in custody? Why would he kill the others in addition to her? Why would he only kill some of the other roommates, but not all? Strange.
