Any ladies looking for 100% cotton underwear, Jockey is having a fantastic sale online. I’ve tried the Hanes and Fruit of the Loom but I always go back to Jockey. 18 pairs for $60 and free shipping
Could use a little help. Went to jockey.com....couldn't find this sale at all. Would you be able to send a link or a way to find this. Thank you.

Was at cvs today and saw a 4 pack of toilet paper on sale for $5.49 said that has to be wrong. Went to Walmart and it was over $80.00 for 2 large pkg of paper towels and 2 of tp Wally World brand. And they are the cheapest place in our town. I predict men will start carrying hankies and bandannas as tissues will be to expensive. And we will be able to tell our grandkids we were so rich when we were young we used to “tp” a house for fun and use at least 6 rolls to make it look good.

I noticed the “Chinese electronic” selection on Amazon has diminished significantly. For years I have loved a particular brand of Bluetooth earbuds. I’m always listening to audiobooks and I go through a pair every six months or so. …

You know you can recharge them, right?

Here’s a new one: dryer sheets. The manufacturers made them smaller recently. They used to unfold along the long axis, now the unfold along the short axis. I also noticed substantially less sheet area.

I went to buy a small (under 3 gallon) aquarium to use as a hospital aquarium. The pet store wanted 44.99. I went to Wally World and got a 2.5 gallon one for 22.97.

It won’t let me link it for some reason. It’s the elance and classic line. 3 packs of 3 for 30.00 with the code Relax.

A car wash broke a buddies drivers side windshield wiper off of his 2021 Ford King Ranch truck, It bent the arm that holds it on so the entire assembly needs replacing. Ford said they are backordered, none available nationwide and it could be months.

I have a 2018 KTM Exc-F 500 motorcycle. I just serviced it for a trip out west. The KTM dealer said most parts for them are unavailable since Europe is still shut down and there are no new ones available in the entire country. He is in FL and gets calls every day from people as far away as TX and NY looking for one to buy.

The local Burger King closed for the day last week and posted a handwritten note on the front door saying no one showed up for work so they would be closed that day. Same for several local Pizza and other restaurants but this was the first time it happened to a national chain here.

These smart asses sitting around demanding a "Living wage" to put a burger in a sack are going to be SCREWED when they cut off their free .gov money AND landlords are allowed to evict their non paying buts. They think sacking a burger should pay them enough to pay for a home, cell phone, food, car payment, power bill, insurance, internet, pornhub, clothes and money for weed and recreation.

Stopped by Bartell's Drugs this afternoon and saw a guy and his son get the last full propane tank in the Blue Rhino cabinet. Store manager said that restaurants had bought up all of the propane to heat the tents they had to use to serve meals when indoor dining was prohibited. Store also had a sign apologizing for the low or absent stock of many other items because of supplier issues. :p

A certain mayo we buy went from 16oz to 12oz, and stayed the same price.

DH made the last payment on our Ford Edge in May. The same day we received the title in the mail we also received a recall notice about the front brakes. He called the dealership today to set up an appointment to get it fixed but was told that they only had 1 of the 3 parts needed, SMH.

I took my Mercedes into the dealership for service today. The parking lot was less than a quarter filled and most of those with used cars. Very few new on the lot. I did my service on a walk in and was out in under an hour. A new record. A bunch of people walking around looking for things to do. So weird.

Last week I watched a video from the Epic Economist that warned this would be happening more and more. Most people only compare their budget and the total from shopping trip to shopping trip. So the manufacturers are leaning toward “shrinkeconomics” to make the packaging smaller in order to keep prices the same.

A great example is Sun Chips. My hubby loves them. Years ago they were in a big bag, big enough to last a couple of weeks or to bring to a barbecue and still have plenty leftover. Now the bags are super small and have about 5 servings.

The last example of "shrinkonomics" I saw involved cooking oil. The new "shrunken" bottles were as wide and tall as the older ones on the store shelf, but were shallower from front to back. It's insulting.

A global chip shortage is affecting how quickly we can drive a car off the lot or buy a new laptop. WSJ visits a fabrication plant in Singapore to see the complex process of chip making and how one manufacturer is trying to overcome the shortage. Photo: Edwin Cheng for The Wall Street Journal

The household washing machine stopped working last week so the wife and I decided we might buy a new one. Turns out a new washer the same as our last is now $1000 and at least 3 weeks back ordered. We decided to buy the part to fix the old one.
That’s what we also found out.
Our machine is ANCIENT, so I was slightly “warned” by hubby to not stress it out with so much washing because of price and the thought of not having one for months of ours does quit.

I didn’t do any big items this week like I’d planned on doing (blankets) :)

Hydrogen Peroxide! Kroger and Safeway have been out for months now. Did manage to find 2 small bottles at the back of the shelf at Walmart. Rubbing alcohol is also in short supply.

Need to check out DW detergent the next time I go.

Shelves are fully stocked here. In fact, last month I scooped up a dozen pint bottles of rubbing alcohol that were discounted to 50 cents. Smith's also had masks on clearance and hand sanitizer and liquid hand soap were buy one get one.

OK this is an odd thing to be out of stock but kind of goes along with the whole increase in cost for take out supplies in restaurants- plastic cutlery. I keep stock of forks and spoons but we also use them so wanted to get more. None at the store yesterday but I thought it was due to the discounted price and their closing. OK I thought let me check curbside at another store because that will at least tell me if they're in stock. NONE. I tried several locations. They have the super cheap ones but I don't use those because they break too easily.

I checked Amazon and they have a 50 pack forks for $5.85 and only 19 left in stock. Checked the spoons- none available until June 16. I really don't want to pay that because I usually pay .99 for 25 so that's more than double the cost. I'll be out a bit this morning so may stop in a different store and see what they have.

There was talk of a plastic resin shortage when all this got started.

Haven't heard any updates on this lately.

Boiled Linseed oil is disappearing from the stores.

I use one part Linseed oil and two parts mineral spirits as a primer to treat wood
before painting. I also use it to treat/protect wood from the weather/elements.

I've also used the mixture to help protect bare concrete.

Has anyone seen any boxes of "flats" only canning lids?

I can find lid and ring combo boxes, but haven't seen lids-only since Jan.

Another weird thing that is hard to find is golf balls. Something about a special compound that goes under the cover. Friend of ours manages a golf course. He ordered over 500 dozen balls from 3 suppliers end of last season. He has only received 250 dozen so far this year from all three dealers combined. Golf grips are 4-6 months out that dealers usually had in stock last year.

Go to the DOLLAR STORE.
My store had both the cheap kind and the heavier duty ones. You got more of the flimsy ones for a buck.

I fill mine right outside the shop door.

Me, too !! (when very rarely necessary)

*puffs chest and stuff*

And....and.....the scrap yard I take my steel to frequently sends me home with a third to half my semi trailer full of recently disposed propane bottles, (for the price of merely doing them the service of making them go away)....ranging in size from those cute little cantaloupe-sized on up to an occasional 500 gallon.

About 10% of those have contents.

Some come full.

Then they pay me top dollar for the cut steel and cleaned brass valves.

Do I win the pissing contest ?!!
