CONFIRMED: Trump won't take part in Fox's GOP debate

I like Trump's move here. He don't care about Kelly. He didn't like the disrespect by Roger Ailes. Good for him. I'm laughing at Fox.
I won't watch. just sayin...

I respectfully disagree.

You talk it, you walk it.

If you can't handle Fox News, you can't handle Vladimir Putin (who is winning in Syria, btw).

This is about manning up and growing a pair.

And I don't mean breasts, I mean balls.

Trump is showing weakness and he is about to get 24 hours of being HAMMERED for this.

With respect: this IS handling Fox news. He's not obligated to go to the debate, he's a free person in a free country. He's choosing not to participate. This shows he has more balls than every other candidate combined who just sucks up whatever the party and the MSM throws at them. The thinking you have is backwards, after years of being programmed into thinking that you have to play by their rules, you see anyone by not playing by their rules as losing. He's saying he plays by his own rules. He's winning. Bravo to Mr. Trump.

Exactly!

he's starting a mini-revolution of his own and he is going to forever change the way elections happen from here on out.

Don't forget: at the first debate, the (same) moderators were planning on getting him mad on stage to a state that he'd 'act out' and were then planning on telling him he's 'fired' and escorting him OFF THE STAGE with armed guards. that was THEIR plan for the first debate. So they aren't so innocent here. He's just doing it first.

Also re-read the press release FOX put out, it's disgusting. I can't see them doing a press release like that for Hilary, Bernie or even 0bama. The press release crossed the line. Here it is again for those who missed it in the 2nd post of the thread:

“We learned from a secret back channel that the Ayatollah and Putin both intend to treat Donald Trump unfairly when they meet with him if he becomes president,” Fox News said in the statement, adding this gem: “A nefarious source tells us that Trump has his own secret plan to replace the Cabinet with his Twitter followers to see if he should even go to those meetings.”

The insurgency grows.
Fox investors watch all the money fly.
Will they have to return the ad money?
Who will they ask all the phoney 'gotcha' questions?
Will you spend 90 minutes of your life watching Mr. Kasich or Mr. Christie or Mr. Rubio?
I have other important things to do, like try to watch Mr. Trump talk to a Town Hall.

Wrong
He is the Donald
He is changing the rules, setting the conditions. He he demonstrating Big Media can be DEALT with. I cannot wait for his pressers as POTUS. I think he will make the other Donald (Rumsfeld) look dull

Just wait and see

There is a gulf of difference between an "honest" adversary and the supposedly "fair and square" media whose real purpose is to manipulate, create opinion, destroy those it hates, and lie and cover for their buddies - all the while with a fake smile.

Totally different animals.

Greta on FOX News just said Donald is out of the debate.

From what I have heard, Megyn Kelly is obsessed with her dislike of Trump.

Why should Donald participate in a debate when he knows one of the moderators is out to take him down.

Good move DJT.

Poor baby got his feelings hurt. AWWWW. Afraid of tough questions from a female talking head. His skin is thinner than Obama's, but his ego is bigger.

I'm beginning to see that of him more and more. When I heard Rush talking about Trump today and how Trump says he can work out deals with the Democrats, I cringed. I'm having second thoughts now about voting for him. I'm tired of the deal makers - especially making deals with Pelosi and all the Democrat ilks like her. As time goes by, I am seeing more and more of his true colors coming out. He was saying before what we were thinking. However, I'm not all for the deal making, we've been down that road. He's not only afraid of Megyn Kelly, he's also afraid of Cruz. They probably have his number and he's afraid of being outed. Yes, he's thinned skinned - I realize that now.

He's turning the media into capons. It's actually a beautiful sight to see.

And Trump is in no way shown to be weak by this action. There is a world of difference between brushing off a bubble-headed blonde, (and her network), and seriously dealing with a Putin or Xi.

I would be much more comfortable with Trump dealing with these guys than anybody else in the race, hands down.

It's not being thin skinned. It's called "not willing to play the game when the deck is stacked against you, the other side makes up its own rules but you have to play by the book, the money is counterfeit, and there's a guy behind you ready to stick a shiv in your back as soon as you make a move".

Fox is the loser in this round, total loser. And he's standing above them shaking the dust off his hands. This shows he has quick thinking skills and is not afraid to do the needful.

Logic won't work, so I'll end this until Thursday with the following:

If Trump does not show up on Thursday night, he is disrespecting the people of Iowa. By doing so, he loses by over 10% and poll numbers start to creep down rapidly in New Hampshire.

You heard it hear first.

I just caught bits and pieces of Limbaugh today in the truck and was laughing admiringly at his communication skills. He is being very careful about what he says - and is letting the callers say most of it - but Rush is getting his message across.

Freedom Isn't Free
What he is showing is that he is more like a dictator than a President. His way or the highway. This is not good.

I think it was pretty disgusting too and I'll be among those skipping the debate. And if you think manning up and growing a pair of balls makes one better than growing a pair of breasts....and you think Megyn Kelly is a "girl"...well I respectfully disagree.

Behold, I am coming soon.
Is Trump scheduling his town hall meeting for the vets at the same time as the FOX debate? I would like to see Faux news get hit big time.

How many debates do they need? They've had enough.
I'll think if he don't show his poll numbers go up, but Trump is probably just tweaking Ailes.
I think Fox has their own agenda and set of questions because they don't like Trump. The deck is stacked.
Love to see Trump stay out of the debate.

Trump will be at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines (big place) doing a Town Hall kind of thing and raising money for Wounded Warriors and Vets at 9pm Central Time. He had asked Fox News to help this group by putting some of the profits from the Debate, but they declined.

So he will do it and many will watch it and contribute.......it would be wonderful if he raised $1 million for the WW and was able to show that he could do this better than Fox News.

JGFla - He is not disrespecting the people of Iowa - he is showing how he would handle the media who are making a pile of money on him and not even giving anything back to those who need it.
Many of those WW and Vets will come from Iowa........

Fox News (Rupert Murdoch) has the same globalist agenda as the rest of the media. They promote open borders, horrible "free trade" deals and endless wars. Megan Kelly is a distraction from the main point. It's Fox News itself and the agenda that is the real target.

Disagree, he Ups his numbers 3%, more and more people are understanding him and why he does what he does. He will not be owned by anyone or Pwned by a talking head.

Pretty gutsy move on the part of Trump-the "press release" from Fox news was uncalled for. Glad to see Trump shaking up things a bit; curious to see what any effect there will be on his campaign for president. CNN is talking like Trump's move is the political twilight zone-it is perhaps but I also think it's pretty shrewd. The event for the vets he's doing the same night as the debate will get more press coverage than the debate itself I believe.

Amazing how this cheap hooker resembles a Fox News Debate Moderator.
Equally amazing is how many interneters will swill down cheap hooch and watch Messrs Kasich, Cristie et al, and the token woman, Charlie Fiorina trade soft punches and powderpuff their way into a sub footnote of political history.
I recommend saving good whiskey for important events.

Maybe Fox is a loser, but it will be interesting to see how badly they rip him up without him being there... so he is the guy who can make deals? and he can't get along with Republicans? I thought Cruz was the guy who can't get along? Just saying, that is what 'they' are going to say...

Gang, the "Donald" is REDEFINING THE ENTIRE POLITICAL CONTEXT IN THIS 2016 AMERICAN ELECTION. People still don't get that. Trump is beyond it all at this point. He is perfectly willing to take on the global media cartels when they trash talk him in these debates. Sorry John, but Trump skipping the debate is FREAKING BRILLIANT! He now throws the issue of wealth concentration, media cartels, populism and the uber liberal press out into the ether and defines the entire debate on how the media treats conservatives on his terms. Sheesh, the guy is getting some good political advice, and more importantly following it.

Yeah, he made a serious error in judgment now that he is linking up with neo cons like Sarah Palin and fundamentalist types like Falwell and crowd. Still, his instincts are sound. This isn't about Trump dissing Iowa voters, John. It is about FOX news dissing Iowa voters and Trump standing up for them. Trump is expanding the pie and bringing in millions of new voters, even if is losing hundreds of thousands of secular populists by going neo con fascist. Trump is expanding the sand box. Trump is redefining the terms of the political discourse on issue after issue.

Hell yah, Trump is going to win big since he mashed Fox and Murdoch, who is deeply unpopular, in the face. Trump is playing chess; everybody else is still playing Crazy Eights.

And FYI, I shall post the debate drinking rules, with or without Mr. Trump on Thursday evening. If he shows up, we may have to institute the dreaded:

DOUBLE SHOT RULE

where if he is there, all drinking penalties are doubled automatically.

Pray Jeb Bush doesn't remind us of his former offices too much. :spns:

Gonna have to drink by yourself, John. I am going to watch Trump's fundraiser for the Wounded Warriors which will be happening at the same time as the debate. I bet I won't be the only one either. The chat on Trump's rally feed is starting a Fox News boycott. I am positive the twitter feed is reflecting all this. Fox tried to sucker punch Trump and he isn't playing.

Exactly.

For YEARS I have wished we had a Republican who had the balls to stand up to the gotcha anti conservative DEBATES.

Trump just maybe another GREAT Trump move - screw liberal FOX - he doesn't need them.

And if conservatives would back him the tone of future debates could be totally different from now on.

This also might show the future down the line democrat debate that - it's either reasonable moderators - or they can have the debate without him.

Not for one second do I think Trump is scared of Kelly.

Kelly has the HELP of the entire total anti Trump empire.

She by herself is nothing.
