The recruitment bureaucracy is destroyed but all is good.. 118 dead no big deal...
Uhg...
You only live so long.I’d love to watch the new Treks, but I refuse to pay the bloodsucking Paramount.

I was so mad at the ending of the first season of the Picard series, that I refuse to watch any more. I quit 'Enterprise' after the first episode. I couldn't really get all that much into 'Voyager'; certainly I never cared for Janeway. I haven't seen the other, newer series.
My faves are still TNG and DS9, though who could not love Spock and McCoy from TOS? (As a teenaged girl at the time, I loathed Kirk for his womanizing.)
I do like the newer TOS reboot movies (and surprisingly, I actually like Kirk in those, though I still dislike the original Kirk). They will not be recasting Chekov in the fourth movie, though.
All of this reminds me.... Many years ago, we had a Dalmatian mix. She was beautiful, and feminine, and I wanted a fitting, exotic, SF or fantasy name for her. We settled on 'Ilia'. (At that time, there had only been the one TOS movie.) She was a great dog. (And no, she wasn't bald!)
Season 2 Episode ? (maybe 6 ?) where Spock becomes fully human is hilarious.I just finished watching Star Trek Strange New Worlds Season 2 Episode 7 and at the end it looks like they reveal they might be on acid or something similar. Very strange episode.

Strange new worlds. Season 2 episode 9. Like an episode of Glee.Episode 9 of WHAT?
Or are you a woman and expect us knuckle-draggers to read your mind?
Though the original kirk series was tough to sit through with the cheesy effects. I did manage to watch all 3 seasons. Each series I have a favorite episode. But I grew up with Star Trek the Next Generation and have watched it all the way through several times. PICARD blows all of the series away. Best series yet. And the last few episodes of the last season of PICARD yeah. Killer. I have not watched Discovery though.I was talking to MzK on the AI thread, and we got around to talking about Star Trek Next Gen (particularly Commander Data.) This got me to thinking about Star Trek franchises and various episodes from them. So I thought I’d post this thread. I’m going to give some thought to my own answer before I post it, but I’d love to hear all yours.
That would be "The City on the Edge of Forever"...For TOS, its “Journey To the Edge of Forever”
I knew that title didn’t look right, but I vaporlocked on the correct one. That would be "The City on the Edge of Forever"...
The song may be Apologies, by Spock but the name of the episode is "Rhapsody"."Apologies" - Star Trek Strange New Worlds

Everybody sings. And the only way to break out of the "zipper" is for everyone to sing at the same time, that's where the Klingons come in. They were close by, and got caught in the "zipper.
Nothing about the episode was good, IMHO.
Strange New Worlds episode 5 where Spock becomes human is fall of the couch funny. But so far nothing, or at least not much has been, save the Universe heroic type stuff. It's all stupid stuff Enterprise gets caught up in. Did have a few good episodes like that in season 1.
The last season of Picard is Universe Heroic type stuff. Pulls in some really old stuff, from DS9 and Voyager, updates it for a "kill everyone in the Alpha Quadrant", and we win.
I'm a little late to be a Trekkie, did watch some, but did not do a mind bending thing to get overly involved, and just realized that everything that took place on/in Star Trek was all within the Milky Way Galaxy. Klingons, Borg, different Quadrants etc.... all in our Galaxy. Here I was thinking it was across the Universe.
