Just thought of one for you folks of faith.

I'm in my freshman year at a small Christian College trying to be a "good boy" but had roommates who were crazy and always temping me to embellish some of their bad vices so to speak.

One night I go to bed and have this dream that snakes were all over the apartment we stayed in that would come out of the water facets ..toilet you name it and show their heads and fangs right in front of my face but they never bit me...........very scary dream.

When I woke up I took it as a sign that temptation will be all around me (roommates) but that this sinful behavior will not bite me (or I will not alter my behavior).

So I get ready for class and meet another friend of mine across campus.....and he says to me (without me saying a thing to him) "I had a dream about you last night"

I said, "really what was it about"

He said.........."well you were sitting a chair up at your apartment and this snake comes crawling up to bite you and as soon as it raised it head to do that I woke up and it was morning"

Well I told him about my dream and we concluded it as a sign from God and confirmation about the interpretation of my dream.........

only one problem....................the "bite resistance dream" insight didn't last too long........by the end of the year I fluked out of school I was so crazy doing wild stuff that I had to go to summer classes to get back in .....................lol.

The strangest thing I ever had happen was with my Brother.

We were in Jr. High. I was in 8th grade and he was in 6th. One morning we were getting ready for school and I was going downstairs as he was going upstairs. We looked at each other and at the exact same time we both said, "Good night."

It was really weird and was never repeated.

Had tickets to a Nascar race in Chicago. My seat was the end of pit wall leading onto the track, across from the ambulance.
They are called "Hot Passes" and you need to submit to a background check 2 months prior to the race to get them. We were the "Guests" of a lady working for Nascar doing the timing on cars leaving the pits. She, and the 4 tickets we had were the only ones allowed past the pits into this area. What a great vantage point for the cup race.

Ok that was just fun. The only thing that "happened" to me, didn't.
I was scheduled to fly US Air from O'Hare Int'l to Pittsburgh on Flt 427, Sept 8, 1994.
Decided to change flights to leaving from Midway Airport, 15 minutes later(Was closer to my work) about a week before.

This is what happened to Flight 427:

My boyfriend broke up with me and moved to New Mexico, where he had a friend formerly from California who had a recording studio there. My boyfriend then urged me to move there also, as we had planned to move together to this little obscure town of 300 people. The weekend before I moved, my parents came to visit me in Santa Barbara. My father said his mother was born in this little town. I had always thought she was born in Pennsylvania as she lived there as an older child. Dad explained that her father had been a mine foreman (turquoise) and when her mother died, he sent her to live with relatives in PA. It seemed very odd that of all the places in the country and all the places in New Mexico, that I had a grandmother who was born in the same tiny town I was about to move to. Of course, when she was born there it was a thriving boom mining town.

Oh crap I forgot about this one............................this is insane.

1976 summer I'm let's see.......22 yrs old at the time.........I'm at a party at a friends place. I was to go there with a buddy of mine but he was running late so got there alone and there was at least 50 people there.

So I'm in this large living room area at the far end of the room by myself and they had a connecting kitchen area on the other side of the room with a lot of people on that side of the living room and in the kitchen.

I'm standing there while everyone is drinking and a stereo is blasting away music (Peter Frampton Comes Alive) and then suddenly I look into the crowd and standing there is a girl looking right at me as if she was oblivious to everyone else around her. She was about medium height but had long black straight hair all the way down to her waist and the greenest eyes I have ever seen. She was startling beautiful and had an hour glass build beyond belief. Simply the best looking women I have ever seen up to that point in my life.

She stares over at me.........and then motions with her hand to come towards her.............so I start to walk from the far side of the room toward her and as soon as I do she motions with her hand and mouth "stop".........and then says with her hand and voices with her mouth "I will come to you"

So she walks up to me.......and then motions to a sliding door in the living room to an outside balcony.........at this point I'm close enough to her to hear what she is saying through the noise and music..........she says, "Come lets go out on the balcony away from everyone and the noise".

So we walk out on the balcony and she says to me, "Hello I'm Claire and I saw you from across the room and I must meet you"

I said......"Really?.......why.....what for"?

and I go to say my name but she stops and and says........"I know you are Michael"

The she said....."I'm a clairvoyant and I have this overwhelming urge to read your hand"

She told me......."Give me your hand" (I forget which one now but think it was my right hand)

So I held it out and then she processed to say..........."This is your heart line and this is your life line..............I see from your heart line you will be challenged with a heart issue in your early 50s............"

Me being a fitness guy I replied, "What do you mean??"

Then she motioned with her finger "shhh" and with a slight smile kept reading.

"The heart problem will heal.........because SHE will heal it"

"She"?? I said.........."whose she"?

and then she told me............"your soul mate"

"uhh???........whose my soul mate......what do you mean?.......how does she heal me"?? - I replied

Then she said "you will survive and continue on.........your life line gets sketchy in your late 80s but still shows you alive"

Then I said, "What happens to my soul mate?"

She says........."Shhh"........with her finger to her mouth........then lets go of my hand and said, "Wait here don't move"

and she proceeds to go back in the house but watching me the whole time smiling away.

So I stood there and she went back into the kitchen into the crowd and like in the movie Field of Dreams she just winked out in the crowd like the ballplayers did when they walked into the corn stalks.

So you understand I was completely sober........I had no drinks and had not taken any drugs during this encounter.

So after she just "disappeared" I ran back in the house into the kitchen area looking for her and she was no where to be found. I started asking everyone around in the kitchen area if they saw her and by the way I described her every guy in the place said, "man I would for sure be tracking a babe like that and there was no one who even looked close to what you described"

After being dumbfounded about it all for about 20 mins looking around the place my buddy shows up............he looks at me and says "My God you are as white as a ghost what happened?"

I told him about the encounter which profoundly impacted him because he knew me to be trustworthy and level headed.

Now here is where it all gets strange...........over the years that incident just seem to fade in the background. Worse yet as my memory faded over the decades I wasn't sure if that actually happened or if it was all just something I dreamed that I think happened but didn't.

A few years later I asked my buddy about that encounter and he said, "yes I remember you telling me what happened after I got to the party late and it was strange as hell"

Ironically life took my buddy down a different path soon after I asked him to recall that and we never saw each other again..........

Fast forward about 30 years..............

When I turned 52 I had a heart issue (afib) which was devastating in its initial episodes I was dealing with and within a week of having that issue I met my Lori and over time the whole heart thing settled down (finding out it was an infection in wisdom teeth I had removed that inflamed the lining for a while) but my joy of being with Lori made forget about it all and to this day I'm fine.

I never recalled during my time with Lori to even tell her about that encounter in fact I had complete forget that until one night after Lori had passed it came rushing back to me............

But I do remember from time to time over the decades wondering about if that was real or a dream........

Now here is the situation that just bugs me.......

1) Did that actually happen for real in 1976?

2) or was it a dream back long ago..........even the part where I see my friend years later and ask him about that could have actually been part of that dream as well?....or even the years later I claim to remember it......was that part of the dream too?

Being the kind of rationalist I am I attribute the whole thing to a dream that I confuse with reality due to how long ago it happened. But yet I still remember thinking of it from time to time over the years from when I was 22 and my memory claims it happened......or dreamed I thought that.

If its one or the other of the above option above......the simple thing is it predicted the future in an uncanny manner and still leave me in a baffling mystery of how they could be....whether it was reality or just a dream and predicting the future nevertheless.

Or is all of what I just explained a dream that happened recently..........even my recall of it over the years?

That would make sense but I'm lost in if it was real or a dream..............and if a dream if it was long ago or recent.

One thing I need to do is to try to find my buddy and ask him does he remember that incident.........if he would say no then I can attribute it to a dream and try to figure out when in my life I dreamed that........

on the other hand................

if he would say yes all these years later???

ouch@!!!

Thoughts anyone?
It was real. V

Okay, I'll bite. I have 5 siblings and the brother in whose house I now live (Ronnie) is a year, a month and a day younger than I. At around age 8 I had a vivid and horrid nightmare; to this day I clearly recall calling out for Ronnie. He actually entered my dream. We were both dubious the next morning but repeatedly checked details. I'm still convinced he really did save me in that dream. There were other weird things but that one is something I can share :)

ok here are a few

Time I saw the ghost

Time I was arrested with my mom for a plot to assassinate the leader of a foreign country.

Time I drove from Austin to Fort Worth with no memory of it.

Time I almost fell through a grave robbers pit in a pyramid.

Time I crawled into a hole in a cliff and found myself amongst some skeletons

Time I held on to 220 volts for over a minute and lived to tell about it.

Hitting a three quarter ton chevy pickup head on in a Gremlin at freeway speed

Time a volks wagon pulled in front of my motorcycle on the freeway and I hit the bug, bounced off the roof, hit a brick wall, and rolled to the left lane where a semi truck emergency braked to a stop over my head

.
.
.

There are more but that is enough

Had a few odd things not sure which qualifies as "most".
Had 2 different events, one in Cali on Christmas day on the I-5 a guy in a Chev. Blazer with what looked like a space age radar gun (in the 1980s), and one leaving Tampa, Florida where I was targeted on the freeway and someone tried to kill me.

The Florida one was odd because the cargo van they were driving passed right through my car when he jerked his wheel to take me out, he'd been doing some ritual beforehand, via vehicle placement. I'll expound if anyone is interested.

Had another very like Walrus Whisperer's also.

I'm interested Flippper!! I love your stories! Do tell.

Ok my turn....

I was on my lunch break and did my usual walk from the office to the South Street Seaport (lower Manhattan). I was window shopping and this lovely woman started up a conversation. About 10 mins in I heard that audible voice which said "She needs a hug". I thought I was hallucinating but that voice got louder and louder. So OK let's not freak her out so I asked her that I felt that she needed a hug and was it ok to do so? Well she burst into tears - she lost the love of her life and her son within a 3 month period.

I went to 3 high schools my Senior year. Due to different credit requirements, I was 1 & 1/2 credits short to graduate. My parents had moved to Saudi Arabia to work for Aramco, and only had up to the 9th grade at the company school. All other kids had to go to boarding schools somewhere. I got dropped off in the Canary Islands for the third school. They had told me if I studied real hard, they would Graduate me with my class. I didn't, and they told me I couldn't come back the next year.

I spent the summer in Saudi for the time of my life with 5000 American returning kids. I had to find somewhere to go. By now it was September 1973. I applied to a British/American school in India, and was told I could come, but they were on a tri-semister schedule due to the monsoon season. I would be 6 weeks late. I then applied to St Stephen's Academy in Rome Italy and was accepted.

I made it one month, and got caught by a teacher with some hash I'd brought with me. I was expelled. They sent my passport to the Saudi embassy for an emergency visa, and I went to the MEA airline office to book a flight to Beirut Lebanon, where some kids I had met in Saudi that summer, went to the American Community school.

I arrived late that evening, just before lights out at the school. I visited with my friends for about 20 minutes. There was a kid hanging out that was a day student. Me and him walked down to the Corniche that runs alongside the coast into Beirut proper. We sat on a bench talking, when my new friend asked a dude walking by in Arabic, if he had a light. He did, and they started talking. I couldn't understand, but my buddy turned and said the dude had some hash, and did we want to smoke some.

We walked along for a while smoking and them talking. My buddy spun around and said the guy was a cop. The dude told him if we had asked him for the hashish, he would have arrested us. We walked past the American embassy and there was a battle tank stationed in front. The dude said there will be a war with Israel tomorrow. About then, we all said goodbye, and I headed to my hotel room.

My flight out to Saudi wasn't until that next evening. The flight to Dhahran was uneventful until my Dad picked me up at the airport. Not a pleasant trip home. The next day I got up to the news that the Yom Kepur war had broke out, and one of the first things Israel did was bomb the runway at Beirut International Airport. Lucky my flight hadn't been blown out of the sky, and ended as a smoldering heap in the desert of Syria. October 6, 1973. I have a stamp in my old passport.

Living On A Prayer
Another for me.

This weirdness regards my very birth moment.

I am the 2nd of 3 children, all sons, for mom and dad. The Middle Child.

The weirdness is that my older brother is:
4 years, 2 months, and 10 days older.

My younger brother is:
4 years, 2 months, and 10 days younger.

I am THE consummate middle child, almost to the hour. My parents knew a man with a PhD in Mathematics. He ciphered the odds out on this occurrence and, while I don't recall the exact number, the odds were in the billions to 1.

My mom had five sons before me. She told them to triple check that I was a female after my birth.

She had a horrendous labor and delivery with me and for some reason the docs had an ex ray done of my neck and head.

The docs freaked out because a huge Bobby/hair pin was seen in my brain in the ex ray. My mom had a pixie style hair cut befire, during and after her conception, pregnancy and delivery of me. My salty mouthed Air Force dad told the doctor that he dies not shoot Bobby pins.

Turns out the ex ray lab lady had a bobby/hair pin fall on the ex ray plate. This was in the early 1950s.

Was at hospital in Springfield mo with family member. Had to go to mountain home for kid's sports event. As I was leaving Springfield, I fell in behind a cop car. Car was moving at a good speed so I kept up with it. As I entered city limits of Mountain Home, the car vanished right in front of me. Looked at my watch and saw that I had made the 2 hour trip in exactly one hour.

I was working nights years ago, and my wife was home alone. She heard an audible voice that said "Pray for the man in the boat."

She did, later told me, and we both have prayed for him ever since, if and when he comes to mind.
Voices and prayers are powerful.

When my father was dying of spinal cancer I went to stay with him at a hospice hospital in Albuquerque. As sad as that time was, he truly was an inspiration of faith despite pain and I pray I will have that faith when my time comes.

Anyway, while he would sleep, I would sometimes head out to the smoking area to visit with the fellow smoker cast-outs when I befriended a woman and shared our different stories of faith, religious upbringing and how it was affecting us and our loved ones. She had a dying mother in another wing who was in the same final stage but in a terrible state. Not only that but she also had an aunt there constantly, not allowing her any time alone with her mother that she dearly wanted but was too scared to tell the aunt. I told my friend that I would ask my father to pray for her mother and the situation with the belief that God most especially hears the prayers of the dying.

When I returned to the room I told Dad about my friend and a little bit about her dilemma and if he would, say a little prayer for them? I wish I could express the happiness I saw in his eyes and smile in his voice when he softly said, "Of course." I could see he was happy that even at this stage of the last of life game he had an important challenge. (Being an engineer might explain that.)

I didn't see her again that day but the next day I went to the smoking area at our usual time and surprisingly, she wasn't there. Curious, I went into her mother's wing and as I was walking down the hall towards the room, I passed an office with my friend sitting there. Seeing me, she jumped up with the biggest smile on her face and greeted me with a big hug! Immediately, she said she was there waiting to sign papers and wait for her Aunt because her mother passed away. Before I could utter I was sorry, she immediately started in with an excited account of her passing.

Turns out the nurses finally convinced the Aunt to go home and rest leaving the daughter finally alone with her mother. She said it was so comforting to finally sit by her bed and hold her hand. After awhile, she heard the most beautiful sounding woman's voice from out of nowhere calling her name. Puzzled, she was just beginning to think she was hearing things when the voice again called her name but added that her mother "Elizabeth" has never been baptized. At first she thought it was a passed relative but no one sounded like that and no one ever, ever called her mother's name of "Lizzie" by her formal name.

As puzzling as that was though, she knew she had to act and act fast! In her "Okie" accent she said she tore outta that room and almost slid into the nurses desk and called, "I need someone to baptize my mother and I need it NOW!!" The nurses were in a bit of a shock but at that moment, the Hospital Chaplain had just walked in the door for work.

Needless to say, her mother was immediately baptized and it wasn't too long before she breathed her last with a peaceful smile on her face.

Later on I told my father what transpired and he smilingly said that was wonderful and do I realize that we now have a new Saint? "Yes I do Dad, yes I do." Years later I still think about it and it tickles me to refer to her as "Saint Elizabeth of Albuquerque" known only to a few. (And now, y'all.)

In my life the first experience that comes to me is being struck by lightning. at around age 6. I don't know if I would have remembered it so readily if it hadn't been mentioned a few times already. We were in the house. A typical Florida storm was coming in and my Dad told me to turn off the tv. Right when I was touching it lightning hit the tv, the attic, the floor and knocked me across the room. My mother was ironing and I can still remember her face as I was knocked past her across the living room. We had a big hole in the attic and the floor around the tv was melted. Very weird. I was okay some how, although my dad (being cheap) didn't take me to the doctor to be sure. Now that I think about it..maybe I'm not ok???

When I first met my dear hubby I suspected he might be full of blarney He had so many tales to tell. As I came to know him I found out they were true. He was like that guy in the commercial..the most interesting man in the world.

Talk is cheap
Being hit on by a guy who claimed right from the git-go that he lived alone and had no pets or anyone to go home to, and then after hanging out with him, having a great time, and being really compatible, we talked marriage. Then one day it was a punch in the gut to get a text message, out of the blue, by a lady who claimed that she lived with him and that we got the one thing in common, Troy. It was a sucker punch and he is a jerk.

I could tell that something was off but didn't know what, couldn't put my finger on it. I did wonder how come he had not asked me over to his place. He commutes an hour to work and that is where I had met him. He is a coward/liar/prideful narcissist...cheater.

What goes around comes around, but it was a shocker!

He had conservative tendencies but it became apparent in a flash that he is not. And he wanted to go to church with me. Ha.

And the "woman scorned..." thing comes to mind and applied to this, then my conscience would always kick in...good thing. God will take care of this if He already hasn't!

Another weird experience- actually, I believe it was a miracle. DH and I got married in the late summer and then planned to drive back to school. We were from Chicago and were driving back to school in Provo, Utah. ( This was the late 70s). We were driving a Ford pickup truck that was an auction vehicle someone had purchased- so we were being paid to drive it one way. We had all of our earthly belongings in the truck bed and were towing our used Toyota Corolla behind us.
We didn’t have a lot of money- so we ignored my father-in-laws advice to get a copy made of the pickup’s key.
We hopped on the highway and exited in a rough part of Chicago to get gas. Without thinking, my DH locked the truck so we could pay for the gas, then realized he’d locked the keys in the truck
We had no one to call. And had.no idea what to do. It was getting dark and the neighborhood was getting scarier. We decided to say a prayer.
After the prayer, I took the key for the Toyota and tried it in the Ford keyhole. It fit perfectly and unlocked the door. We grabbed the pickup’s keys. Locked the door again and tried the Toyota keys again. They wouldn’t even go into the keyhole.

Wilmington, Illinois, 2002. Looking to upgrade from a Ranger pickup to a full-size. Test drove an '01 F150, liked it but the numbers wouldn't match up to my wallet's ability. Told myself "maybe someday" and abandoned the idea of upgrading.

My side hustle when we lived up there was that the quarry my neighbor worked for, was opening a new area and I could have all the firewood I wanted to cut. So I sold firewood, with no overhead beyond gas for the chainsaw and the purchase of a gas-powered log splitter. Pulled my utility trailer with my Ranger to do the delivering. I had cards printed up with my name, phone number, and "FIREWOOD SOLD AND STACKED" across the middle. I sprinkled those cards literally everywhere....c-store counters, under windshield wipers at Walmart and the grocery store, you name it, it got a card. Left a half dozen in the glove box of that truck I test drove.

************

Fast forward 20 years. Wife was in the hospital in San Antonio, we live ~80 miles northwest. My pickup took a dump on me, so it was parked and I was driving the backup....with NO backup for it. Playing around on FB Marketplace, I came across an ad for a 2002 F150 $$OBO or trade for a diesel. What the hell. Texted the ad that I had a '06 Dodge not running. Guy jumped at it and long story short, we even-traded about 3 days later. Only thing that F150 needed was the a/c would cut out occasionally, until hitting another bump and it'd work for another week or two, he said. I knew what it was, there's a plug coming off the wiring loom behind the glove box that works loose. Even if it was worse than that, a running Ford beats the tar out of a dead Dodge any day.

So....get Wifey home from San Antonio and one fine spring day I pull the glove box hinge loose to get in there and clean up that plug and zip tie it together where it won't jiggle loose. When I'm finishing up with that, I notice some paper peeking out from behind the evaporator box. Curious, I reach up and pull on it. It's a business card. For firewood. With MY name and old phone number on it.

"Maybe someday" indeed....

An oddball thought. What if you imagined it recently, like maybe today, but what you imagined or dreamed was that it happened way back then. By that I mean, as of two days ago you had no memory of any of that ever happening, because you did not have a memory of that past event until you dreamed it today? Making any sense?

Has No Life - Lives on TB

"someone, somwhere, went to sleep, and dreamed us all alive"

"dreams get pushed around alot, I doubt if we'll survive"

that line has stuck with for over 50 yrs now.

From the song None of Us Are Here
Here's the chorus:
Someone somewhere went to sleep and dreamed us all alive.
Dreams get pushed around a lot and I doubt if we'll survive.
We won't get to wake up, dreams were born to disappear.
And I'm pretty sure that none of us are here.

Take this farther, all memories could have been dreamed, there was no past experiences.
We could actually not be, we are pigments of our own imaginations.
Excuse me, I need to take a redpill booster now.

a couple months after i started dating my wife, we got a call that her grandma was in cardiac arrest and on her way to the hospital. she was in bad health for a long time before due to kidney failure.

by the time we got there, the rest of the family was outside crying. walking up you could tell that she had passed.
she had a dnr order and the hospital ignored it and put her on life support until the family could get there. since my mil got to the hospital first, she told them about the dnr and the stopped intervention.

we were told that it would take a few min before her body would shut down. me being an outsider still, since we had just started dating, i stayed in the waiting room while the family took turns going in and out of her e.r. room.

at this time in my life i did not believe in God.

i said a quick prayer. "God, i do not know her(my future wife) well enough to help her with this, please bring her grandma back"

the stay in the waiting room was torture. i watched all these people going in and out crying and i could not do a thing about it. after about an hr, the dr said sometimes this could take an hr or two before the body fully shuts down because of the meds. they said they are going to move her to an actual room upstairs so they could open up the e.r. bed.

most of the family went upstairs to that waiting room to wait the few min for her to be transferred up to a regular room. my wife's uncle and i went outside for a smoke. when we came back into the hospital we went to the elevator, and as we were waiting for it, they brought her grandma out and to the same elevator we were waiting for. i am not going to lie, i did not want to share this tiny elevator with a almost dead body. i was freaked out by it a bit to be honest. i stood next to her head, while her uncle stood at her feet. 2 floors. i stared at the door, would not look at her, pretended she was not there. everything i could do to make this ride be over.

then she grabbed my elbow.

i do not know how i did not piss my pants. i turned and looked down at her and she was wide awake and smiling. i was so freaked out i cannot remember what she she said, but i want to say "not yet, not yet" and then she was back.

when the doors opened, myself, her uncle and the guy pushing the bed were so startled that we just stood there looking at each other and could not really move for a few seconds. we exited and they took the bed left to the room as her uncle and i went right to the waiting room. we walked in and im guessing we were pale because everyone came over to see what was wrong with us. the only thing i could get out was, "was she talking before?"

everyone jumped up and ran to find her room. tears still were flowing but i have never seen so many people crying for joy in my life. family and staff alike. the dr came rushing upstairs and called it a miracle.

she lived another 2.5 years or so with no side effects of that day.

I had gotten off my 12hr shift at our work site at the usual 7pm. Came back to the barracks to the usual poker game. It ended in a fight between a guy from near Pittsburgh, and a dirty cop from Chicago (enlist or go to jail). The ex-cop was not well liked. The other guy was short/slight/wirey, and generally a pretty calm guy. After being teased by the ex-cop, I was there to witness the little guy leaping over the wire spool poker 'table' and commence to beating the living crap out of the other guy. A few us look at each other, and waited about a half-minute so the ex-cop could get his beat down.

I went to bed shortly thereafter. I was on an upper bunk which was just at the level of the sandbag revetment (still an FNG). Several hours later I come to on the hard, rough concrete floor, my body was shaken(not stirred) by the first incoming rocket that exploded just on the far side of the sandbags (thank God!). However, I could not hear a thing, dust and smoke filled the air, I woke up in hell. Still stunned, my bunk-mate reached one of my legs and started to pull me under the lower bunk where he already was. Several more came in around our wooden/screening building. At each explosion I said the only prayer I could think of, "Jesus Christ!". When folks say that the sound is deafening, I know what they mean. You felt it as much as heard it. The shock wave was tremendous and the shrapnel screamed through the air and through our flimsy walls.

When the incoming rockets barrage stopped, I heard a lot of screaming and yelling. I could hardly breathe with all the smoke and dust. I made my way to a light by the the gun rack, grabbed a rifle, and found the little guy standing in the entrance/exit doorway, frozen in place. He had that 1000 yard stare and did not respond to verbal prompting. So, another troop and I lifted him out of the way. I drove the 3/4 ton truck to our work site in order to setup for emergency destruction of classified materials. Folks kept asking if I was all right. It was a bit much for an 18 yr old. They said I was pale as a ghost, and went about the needed routines like a robot.

Everyone did not make it through that alive. It was the first of such events over the course of a very long year. Why all 3 of those particular rockets landing around our barracks that horrific night missed me, I have no earthly explanation. Death was very random.

Happened into a situation where a family was being relocated; think witness protection program. I and 3 other women were included as screens. I was the only one who realized what was happening. I don't think I should give more details. It taught me a lot about how oblivious most people are to their surroundings.

passin' thru
ok here are a few
