Little Pishi the teenage rescue Mommy Cat took her time but so far has three little "cupcakes" out of the oven this morning; there is probably at least one or two more but I'm only checking ever so often (she's in a box behind me) because we were petting her when she got ready for the third one, she jumped under my computer (there's a towel there in case she gave birth there) but then looked confused, jumped up in the air towards Nightwolf and the baby slipped out! Nightwolf caught it, it is fine; but we put the whole little family back in the box and are letting her get on with it.
A lovely distraction from dire world news; and of course this will be the happy little Mom Cat's first and last litter - after this she gets spayed to be a Persian Princess with her own pillow - and I'll probably keep at least one kitten to be her "forever" friend as she's probably only six months old (if that) herself).
Cat's can get pregnant as young as four months (like a human 10 year old) and we think that is what happened here, Pishi herself has grown a lot bigger just in the two months we've had her.
