Dang they're cute! Cameron is full of energy. I think Noodles will be a cool lap cat someday. Congrats.

The one and only...
I couldn't even FIND Noodles this morning. Turns out he had decided that behind the chain inside the fireplace would be a good place to hide. He's now a black and orange cat. :/ On the plus side, he started exploring the house finally and even came upstairs, where he proceeded to rub against my legs and purr. So I'm guessing lap cat will be probably right. :)

Good for you for rescuing two beautiful cats. They are going to be running all over your house soon, having a great life.

Awww, thank you for taking them home, looks like they'll be very entertaining for you. Cam is a mackerel tabby and going to be the one who gets into a lot of trouble but point the finger at Noodles. Noodles will be a lover not a fighter.

I have a kitty that looks exactly like Noodles! What handsome new fur kids you have adopted.

Just a suggestion for those adding new pets in the future. Instead of giving them free access to the entire house for the first couple of days, try to lock them in a small room with their food and litter box. That sometimes is the key to preventing accidents and bad habits in the future. Obviously, some pets don't need this reinforcement but those that do have a much better chance of success in their new home if potty places are strongly identified to start.

BTW, glad to see you are adopting from a shelter!!!

What cuties!

And what Willow said . . . ! I've brought home several cats from the shelter. I open the carrier in the laundry room, show them the litter box, feed them, and then just let them be. Before long, they will want out, and go around rubbing their heads on everything (scenting). And then they'll be right at home. That process can take one to several days.

My latest kitty (1.5 years old) didn't want to stay in the laundry room for more than an hour. She wanted to be with me! So, I let her out. She wandered around a bit, and then popped up on the couch with me and watched TV, purring loudly.

Yes, they will love their new home! Give Noodles a bit more time to explore on her own. She'll be playing soon.

Great job making video with the words and music. Watching that was a fun moment in my day. We have 3 cats. One is diabetic and sitting on my lap now as I type. We give him insulin shots twice a day.

Your husband reminds me of mine - down on the floor and playing with the cats! LOL Noodles will relax with a little time, especially with Cameron there. So glad you could take them both!

Hmm, maybe for Noodles you could take the door off "his" (her?) carrier, put a nice soft blanket in it and cover the outside with a blanket or towel. Make a nice little cave for hiding that already has his scent in it.

heh amazingly enough, all of a sudden, noodles is the mischief and cameron is the laid back.. Noodles got into the fireplace last night and i spent an hour or so trying to brush soot out of his coat.. the entire time cameron laid there and kinda laughed and purred his way though a 'hah, it wasn't me' attitude.

Noodles has already settled and actually comes to us now, will be held and petted with no problem... cameron...well, he was in our bed sleeping last night when I crashed out... a day or two more and I should probably change the deed to our house, and put it in thier name.

Cool video...I was kinda disappointed though. I was expecting something like a Tasmanian Devil when you opened the second carrier..... BTDT....

All our "children" are rescues.

Will they like their new home?
I bet they like it way more than the shelter... :D

It's always great watching new cats here at the farm. My neighbors in the other half of the house got a new kitten last spring. He stayed inside for the first couple months, but once he started going outside, he almost never comes back in now...

It was funny last night. We have a small hole in the basement door, just big enough for a cat. So if they don't make it back to the house by the time we go to bed, at least they have a nice warm, dry place to stay for the night. We always keep "backup" food and water down there for them...

So I'm walking up the sidewalk from my car to the house. A wind blown, heavy snow / rain mix is flying. The kitten runs out of the hole, rubs against my leg a couple times, just enough to say hello, and runs back to the hole for shelter...

When I got my cat several years ago, it took a week for him to come into the house for the first time. He was already 7 years old, a former feral cat. Some friends had him for a few years before I got him, so he was already tame. But even with them, and a relatively small back yard, he'ld much rather be outside than in...

And that got him into trouble. He started doing his business in neighbors yards, and gardens. They complained. So it was either off to the shelter, or here at the farm...

He's mostly an indoor cat now, even has his own bedroom. Well kinda, he shares it with my old shepherd... :)

But he still has a "need" to go out at least once a day. Even on the coldest days, he begs to go out. During winter it's usually only for a few minutes. But in summer, he hits the door first thing in the morning, and doesn't come home until well after dark. He spends most of the time curled up in a comfy chair on the back porch. But he still loves venturing off into the woods once in a while...

< Yes, I do look like that.
Naturally while I'm trying to browse TB, Jackson the 30-pound Bengal (also a shelter cat - we bought a medium-dog carrier to transport him home and he couldn't stand up in it!) is stretching out on my desk and sliding my keyboard around...

I laughed when Cameron got all spooked and jumped around like a nutcase. Get 'em some catnip and see how they react!

Wow.. haha this is funny. I always end up seeing cat videos on youtube, and this AM I came across yours totally by random. I saw your avatar and was like "Naaa, cant be her" but it was. lol Its so strange to come across a video totally random and not know its someone you know from here.

Cute video btw, looks like one is shy, he will get the hang of things after a while, once he decides to leave that chair and explore :)
