WAR trouble brewing again in ukraine

I think it's going to be a stalemate. I suspect the Russians are going to lose a ton of armored units. Ukraine has been buying attack drones from anyone willing to sell them. We have seen how effective those were against the Armenian armored groups.

With the lines of control of the "frozen conflict" being akin to the trenches of over a hundred years ago, I suspect anything that jumps off will start with infantry infiltration and limited and focused artillery under a SAM umbrella before the armor really gets involved.

Oreally

Right from the start
i think the russians will overthrow the kyiv gov't and install a puppet regime ...after they secure the water canal to crimea ....soon

anti russian feeling in the west of the country is too great to try to govern it, i think.

Kremlin Responds To Anger Over Ukraine Border Build-Up: 'Our Internal Troop Movements Not Your Concern'

Various reports strongly suggest that over the past week there's been a significant uptick in shelling and fighting in the war-torn Donetsk region of eastern Ukraine. This has served to thrust the over 5-year long crisis back in the media spotlight in the past days, particularly after the US Army ( via US European Command, or EUCOM) raised its Europe threat level to its highest of "potential imminent crisis".

At the same time The New York Times and others are detailing the escalation while alleging 'Russian aggression' is fueling the fresh flare-up, which has signaled the collapse of yet another cease-fire. And more alarmingly the reports allege a major build-up of Russian troops and tanks along Ukraine's eastern border. But even as the NY Times report mused, it's also likely that the estimated 4,000 regular Russian soldiers there were simply left over from recent scheduled military exercises common during this time of year.

The Kremlin has responded to the slew of reports on Thursday, underscoring that given the troops remain entirely within Russia's national boundaries, it's essentially 'nobody's business' where they go.

Via Reuters
"The Russian Federation transfers the Armed Forces on its soil as it wants to. This should not concern anyone and this is not posing any threat to anyone," spokesman Dmitry Peskov emphasized.
Moscow is taking "all the necessary measures to ensure security of its frontiers," he stressed according to TASS. Peskov added that:
"As for the participation of Russian troops in the armed conflict on Ukraine’s soil, the Russian troops have never taken part in it and are not participating now."
He further said: "And we, the European countries and all world states would not like the civil war in Ukraine as a result of provocations and provocative steps by Ukraine’s military to flare up again."

Moscow's reaction further comes after Ukraine's commander-in-chief of national armed forces alleged that Russia intentionally amassed more troops on the border, and further that "pro-Moscow separatists were systematically violating a ceasefire in eastern Ukraine," according to Reuters.

Meanwhile the NYT report had noted that within the past days "Four Ukrainian soldiers were killed and another seriously wounded in a battle against Russian-backed separatists in the Donetsk Region" - strongly suggesting that a severe flare-up could be on the horizon.

But again, Russia is downplaying all of this. "The movement of Russian troops across the country should not concern other states since this does not pose any threat to them," the Kremlin reiterated according to state sources.

Worst case scenario: NATO forces enter Ukraine - Alliance bases raised alarm - Russian Camps emptied

Article: Vasilis Kapoulas

War News 247

The worst-case scenario is unfolding right now as Ukraine invited NATO troops for exercises and joint air patrols with NATO aircraft to "stabilize the region."

Following this development, NATO forces in Poland and Romania were placed on the highest war alert.

All reports indicate that Kiev's invitation proposal has already been accepted and NATO forces will arrive in Ukraine in the coming hours.

US support for Ukraine

Earlier, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin spoke by phone with his Ukrainian counterpart Andriy Taran today.

That's where the U.S. Department of State, L. Austin, transferred u.S. readiness to him.

"The US will support Ukraine in the face of continued Russian aggression in Donbass and Crimea" as has been typically said.

Alarm at NATO Headquarters

At the same time, nato's military committee was convened.

"At an emergency meeting the NATO Council had an urgent meeting to discuss the issue of Russian aggression.

There the allies exchanged "common concerns about Russia and its recent major military activities in An. Ukraine and the Black Sea."

NATO officials told Reuters:

"Russia is undermining the peace effort in eastern Ukraine. Allies are concerned about Russian violations and large Russian military mobilizations near the Ukrainian border.

Russia has violated the truce 570 times since the beginning of the year.

The deputy head of the Ukrainian president's Office, Roman Mashovets, met with Alexander Vinnikov, head of NATO's office in Ukraine to discuss Russian aggression in the east of the country and the concentration of forces on the border.

They've emptied the Russian Camps.

It is not important to list exactly what Russia has transferred to Crimea and the border with Ukraine.

Suffice the phrase of a Russian officer and the videos available to WarNews247:

"The Russian camps in the Southern Military Region of Russia with a Zone of Responsibility crimea and Ukraine have been emptied"!

Even the 247 Airborne Regiment was transferred to Crimea, electronic warfare units

Belarusian forces are located 20 km from the Ukrainian border in the village of Pinsk.

These are potential lines of attack for a Russian offensive against Ukraine. This is based on Russian preparations over the past few weeks and on my analysis of Russia's invasion over the past seven years. Putin will attempt to exploit a breakthrough anywhere he can get it.

Beyond the immediate battlefront (Russian-occupied Crimea and Donbas), Putin may widen the war by attacking Kharkiv and Sumy oblasts from Belgorod and Kursk, and by attacking Chernihiv and Kyiv oblasts from Russia's client state Belarus.
Ukraine has taken delivery of the first batch of Neptune anti-ship systems equipped with cruise missiles. Produced by Luch Design Bureau, the 300km range Neptune has proven devastatingly effective in tests. Russian aviation will attempt to destroy Neptune shore batteries first.
Ukraine only has two, modern Gyurza-M gunboats on the Sea of Azov. The Ukrainian Navy tried to station two more but Russian forces attacked the vessels in the Black Sea on 25 November 2018. Russia turned pirate and has enforced a partial blockade of the Kerch Strait since.

The only way we put assets on the ground or over the ground of Ukraine is if everyone in NATO has a BLINDING migraine OR some incredibly dufi dufus in the USmanages to steal the keys to daddy biden's car and call from the car fone and send them.
