In few hours the Asian markets will be opening for trading.

If there is a big sell-off well then.. Traders will start to get fearful.

Breathe a bit more folks. Just breathe.

While I haven't checked the Floating Golf Ball's present location, it was hanging around here through last weekend.

My bet is that NK will abuse their tunnels and drop Seoul a few dozen meters long before they send up a rocket on a long distance crap shot. Yes, they have rockets. Yes they have the physics packages small enough to go in them. The question is do they have the accuracy to get one over here and hit something substantial on the FIRST ATTEMPT and make it count. If they blow up one 500+ miles off of our west coast, it will be EASILY tracked, and we WILL retaliate. If they end up going 500+ miles INTO our borders, then we will DEFINITELY smoke them as any attack using NBC guarantees a counter strike of massive proportion.

Now, picture Un sitting over there under his bad haircut, thinking of what he could do with his new play toys: He could go after us directly, and risk having us come back intensely. OR, he could slip one or two down a few tunnels, and give a few SK cities near his border the atomic upsi-daisy, followed by blowing one up under the DMZ. SK would be in complete confusion, NK would run across the newly cleared border and start trying to take SK over, and the financial markets of the world would vomit profusely. And before you start thinking too far about the fallout and radiation, it would be minimized because of the underground detonations, so the path would be fairly clear for them to start running southward rather quickly.

Again, ask yourself what Un may be thinking right now, and then look at the easy approach to what he wants.

Possible Impact, what do you think? I am due to go back into the hospital for surgery Monday. Won't be out until Thursday. Do I push myself tomorrow and get whatever small holes I have? You know I respect your opinion.

Dow streak of records ends amid US-North Korea tensions

09 August 2017 04:40AM (Updated: 09 August 2017 04:50AM)
Channel News Asia (from Singapore)

NEW YORK: Wall Street stocks fell on Tuesday (August 8) amid rising tensions between the United States and North Korea, bringing the Dow's streak of nine straight records to an end.

Stocks had pushed into positive territory, but dropped in the last hour of trading after President Donald Trump warned Pyongyang it will face "fire and fury" if it continues to threaten the United States
.

The comments came after media reports that North Korea has produced a nuclear warhead small enough to fit inside its missiles.

All three major stock indexes dropped 0.2 per cent at the close, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average finishing at 22,085.34, a drop of 33.08 points (0.15 per cent), halting a nearly two-week run of closing records.

The broad-based S&P 500 dipped 5.99 points (0.24 per cent) to 2,474.92, and the tech-rich Nasdaq Composite Index dropped 13.31 points (0.21 per cent) to 6,370.46.

Ralph Lauren Corp. shot up 13.3 per cent after reporting a net income of US$59.5 million in earnings through Jul 1, up from a loss of US$22.3 million in the year-ago period.

Michael Kors surged 21.5 per cent after reporting 80 cents per share in the quarter ending Jul 1, 18 cents above analyst expectations.

Media giant CBS rose 1.8 per cent after reporting better-than-expected second-quarter earnings as it boosted subscriptions to the network's streaming services.

Avis Budget Group slumped 9.9 per cent as it cut its full-year earnings forecast due to weak car-rental pricing amid a glut of autos. Net income fell to US$3 million from US$36 million in the year-ago quarter.

Except that Kim is playing with tinker toys and Trump has a Tonka. Would be far better for the U.S. and the world not to open that can of worms because once the genie is out of the bottle you can't stuff her back in.

Per Trump's comment it sounds like we might try to hit them fast and hard, knock the h*ll out of them, leave them severely wounded, and then come back home. Or, Lil' Kim will get a nuke off before we can do anything.

We either hit and cripple him or I'm going 'HOME.' Either way it's a win-win for me.

Wrong. We may end up in a war with North Korea, Russia and China before it's all over but, even so, your doom n gloom is still wrong.

The Russians and the Chinese are watching the USA very closely, if Trump tries a strike, Kim will know before it happens.

No, that's what they want you to think. THey are both coldly calculating guy, very bright, and likely still upping the ante to have more stuff to take off the table in a bargaining than they started with. And it could go Tits up at any time.

What would be the fallout if we just assassinated him?

I assumed if it could be done, it would have, by now. And, to someone else's point re: two guys with big egos... I saw in Trump a man conscious of the weight and responsibility of his office- I don't see him bringing such misery to so many innocents over a pissing contest.

I heard an interesting opinion on the radio this morning. Lil Kim does not need to have an accurate missile in order to disrupt or severely damage the US economy. Even if he misses Los Angeles and the missile lands in the desert and explodes killing nothing, it will create an incredible amount of chaos. This was from the man who runs the DEFCON.com who was on the Wilkow Majority.

Any nuke landing anywhere will wind up nuking the stockmarket, and then everyone is fooked.

Don't we have the largest US military installation in that area?

I don't know about the size, but technically Guam is part of the USA and the people who are born and live there are American citizens...so attacking Guam is a direct attack on a US territory...not to mention that is one of the most likely places American war planes would fly out of.
