The situation is like the two weeks in August of 1939 between when Hitler and Stalin announced their non-aggression pact on August 15th, 1939 and when Hitker sent the Wehrmacht in on September 1st, 1939. I specifically said the tsunami would affect the coast but that it probably wouldn't have as much impact on Portland and Seattle as jed turtle hoped (that is, the mega-tsunami is not going to wash away all the godless heathens in those cities). As to the CSZ earthquake(s) it depends on how you define "take out," because Seattle and Portland are not going to be levelled but are going to suffer extreme damage to basic infrastructure. Seattle and Portland are in far more danger of damage from the faults running under both cities than they are from the CSZ, but as far as I know there's no evidence that the CSZ sets all the PNW faults off when it goes. It sounds to me like you're basing your ideas on older research since from what I can tell new research has dialed back on the apocalyptic predictions of total destruction and a massive casualty toll in the multi-hundreds of thousands or millions. But in any case, this thread is not the place to debate the CSZ.

Many have always subscribed to the belief of "Better safe than sorry," and after watching the violent actions of groups like Antifa and some Black Lives Matter (BLM) factions over the course of the past few years, specifically the spike in violence, arson, looting and attacks on innocent people just trying to eat out or sleep at home, we think that that belief has never been more important than it will be in the next few months.
THE POWDER KEG IS READY TO BLOW
Racial tensions have been high, and Antifa groups, and some BLM members have hijacked even the most "peaceful" of recent protests to turn them into declared riots.
Tensions over President Trump's Supreme Court nominees have caused many a temper tantrum by liberals.....and that was before this the latest nomination of Amy Coney Barret to fill the former SC seat of Ruth Bader-Ginsburg.
When you see Democrat politicians having temper tantrums like children who didn't get their way, as they have done during the confirmation process of Coney-Barrett, that translates into those politicians taking to the microphone and inciting their radical liberal supporters to protest, which of late, have turned into ugly and dangerous riots.
The majority of preppers and survivalists stock up on supplies in preparation for some type of disaster, whether a weather event, terror attack, cyber attack or anything else that could leave them stranded with just their own supplies to survive for a week, a month or even longer.
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, others, not considered preppers, hit the stores in a mad rush and bought out all the frozen food and toilet paper, among other products.
With every controversy and/or political scandal, those tensions just keep rising, like a powder keg just waiting for a match to blow everything up.

On October 15, 2020, VOA headlined with "US States Brace for Possible Violence on Election Day."
Yes, warning people not only to be prepared, but to put the cops on speed dial.
NOTE - Personally I would suggest have some type of self-defense weapon, a firearm for those confortable and trained, and other non-lethal weapons for those uncomfortable with firearms, because if you need to speed dial your law enforcement from your home, chances are they are going to be a little (ok, a lot!) busy answering calls and your wait time may be too long to survive without defending yourself.
In that same VOA article they talk about New Jersey, and the language is far more dire than most reports.

The best advice would be to vote early on November 3, 2020, then head on over to where you plan to spend the next few weeks, either home, or visiting someone else, preferably someone that lives in a rural area where there is less chance of violent rioters
Plan for an extended stay, or to remain at home until it becomes clear whether the violence will come near where you are.
Anything can happen. I want to say that includes absolutely no protests, no violence and no rioting, but empirical evidence to date shows that to be a very naive hope.
As we often encourage, stock up, restock anything missing, or just top off your preps.
Yes, that includes non-violent Biden supporters as well, because when the violence starts, rioters never ask before busting open someone's head.
They have attacked their own before.
As usual with prepping pieces we will list items 'still/back in stock' at the very bottom as to not break up the article with links.
Note: We are not suggesting "hiding," but it seems to be common sense that unless you are protesting and joining the rioters, it simply makes sense to stay away from them.

You can tell the "real" ones in the winter. If you see a bike rider in no ember or january, you are dealing with a hard core. If these clowns are out rioting at 11pm, in weather like this they are hard core. Personally, having been in the US Army in cold ass weather I am not sure these civilians can hack being cold for hours each day and night.

My apartment manager says her last day is Friday. The maintenace guy just quit yesterday also. Half the vacant units haven't been filled yet. They are trying to sell another property and maybe this one too. She is getting another building a few blocks away. I have both food stamps and medicare to renew over the next few weeks. Yep, everything is in full collapse mode now.

I will see if I can find that Rubin show clip where Judge Pirrio? says she talked to Trump and asked him why he hasn't declared insurrection for Portland. He said he was waiting till November 4th. I get the feeling Trump will move decisively after the election and get rid of all the TRAITORS, like FBI's Wray and CIA head bitch, and deploy those 1 million troops he mobilized. We shall see.

I had another chat with the apartment manager whose last day is Friday. It seems 25% of the tenants haven't paid ANY rent since MARCH. Zip. Zilch. They got all kind of other financial aid, just couldn't be bothered to use it on rent or utilities. One guy got 7 months of unemployment checks yesterday she said. He will have to pay 8000 out of the 12000 since he partied or bought stuff. I really don't know except they all spent whatever money they got from assistence on other stuff. She said that is 15 units right there, no rent paid and most of them will bail next year on all the rent they owe. Next, she said 10 units are vacant after people moved out. Actually, 30 units vacated in the last six months, can't be rented at any price. 60 units total. 10 units still empty, and 20 to 25 deadbeats.
Come January 1st when they can evict again 50% of the building will be gone by 1-31-21or not. My building is the only occupied one within Ten blocks of pioneer square at midnight. Fort Apache!

There is not much to burn in downtown Portland at this point. Further, heavy rain is forecast for the 3rd and 4th which should help.
Finally, downtown Portland will likely be totally EMPTY by Monday.

Wow. The loft across the street from just had another tenant move out of their $2000 a month lofts. Not many lights on at night any more. Today is the managers last day and she moved in some street trash, borderline homeless, semi functional loser. Passed the background check so he hasn't been caught yet, or maybe catch and release multiple times.
I've seen both the truck and the moving crew at least six times since April parked on the block.
We all got a good laugh when I asked if they were moving somebody in. Gallows humor.
I also noticed the coffee shop at Broadway and Alder put up the paper sign saying they will reopen whenever. It is the 6th coffee shop to close since March in a five block area around me, and TWO of them were Starbucks. Sign of the world's end for sure!
