For the record Peter Fonda made the tweet abusing Baron on June 19th, 2018. He was dead 14 months later on August 16, 2019.

Oregon Gov. Kate Brown is declaring a state of emergency for Portland. Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker ordered 1,000 members of the National Guard to be on standby. In some states, troops will be wearing civilian clothes to monitor polling sites.

OR Gov. Kate Brown declared a state of emergency for the Portland area, citing concern for potential violence surrounding the election. Under the plans, the Oregon State Police and the Multnomah County Sheriff will take over management of public safety in the city, and Governor Brown said she has directed the National Guard to have members trained in crowd control to be on standby.

We listened to part of her news conference on youtube. Not impressed. They haven't a clue what they are doing, when they'll do it, or how to handle what could be coming, especially with everything being multi-jurisdictional. I know that they have to be flexible, but there was so much waffling that they came across as a incompetent before they even started. I guess I'm jaded after watching their current level of ineptitude with the "peaceful protests" that they've "dealt" with so far.

Well I am in the shit now. Antifa is setting for direct action tonight at director park which is one block south of me. The 7-11 is closed and boarded up but somebody pried a board off likely in prep for smashing it open and stripping the store. I called management no response. I will go check it out. DA starts at 8pm might call police non emergency

I am literally ONE block north of this director park and direct action. Now, given the FACT they smashed out the window earlier I would say their first direction action will be to smash the 7-11 glass they pulled the plywood off of, and then enter the store and steal all the BOOZE they haven't pulled out. No joy with the apartment manager. No joy with 7-11 who has no way to contact them. No joy with the PPD nonemergency phone number which spent more time talking to me in Spanish than English. I will just sit back and hope they are in a good mood, just to steal the booze rather than burn down the building that is the south east corner of my building. Sheesh, what a government of fools we have.

The rioters broke windows in a Starbucks and poured gas in it to commit probable arson. The Starbucks was in a complex of 300 apartments. They were stopped before they could complete it.

WELL hot damn I was right in the middle of this shit, big time. I heard the bull horn clear as a bell since it was maybe one block south of me. Not sure they came towards my building at all, but I could hear it ALL inside of my apartment. I did go to the window where they like to riot at Morrison and Park right off the NW corner of Nordstrom's main store. Not sure why the Federales got into this at all. Nothing federal within 10 blocks of there, or maybe they weren't going to let them trash the Oregon Historical Society or Portland Art Museum or whatever.
Governor Brown has really screwed things up with this chain of command shit. She is an complete idiot. The 7-11 store is intact, no damage to the cars, but it is early yet. IF the federales are there, they have full federale arrest power, assuming the local DA will book their arrests.

Saturday's riot damage in the lloyd center area put some blowtorch level heat from the big boys on the clowns like Brown and Wheeler.

the 5pm march on weds is the one to watch, this stuff is just probes.

Okay, they headed SOUTH of director park into Portland State University where they are smashing yet another Starbucks, the PSU Public safety office, where they just voted last month to disarm campus security.

Usual non response response so far. I am out of it unless they head north again.

The Democratic mayor of Portland, Oregon — the city laid to waste by left-wing rioters this year — warned residents this week that "white supremacist" violence and "divisive rhetoric" from Washington, D.C., could lead to a dangerous situation following Tuesday's election.

"Local law enforcement has been working for several weeks to ensure we have adequate resources available to keep our community safe on and after Nov. 3.

We've cancelled days off, put staff on call and coordinated across all city bureaus to prepare for a wide range of scenarios," Wheeler tweeted Monday.

"Given the heightened concerns about potential violence, particularly from white supremist [sic] organizations and the divisive rhetoric from Washington, D.C., the need for coordination and partnership takes on statewide significance. Oregon is likely to be a flashpoint," he added.

It's fair enough that Wheeler considers the city and the state of Oregon, in general, to be a "flashpoint" for any political violence that may occur following the election. After all, as was widely reported, the city was ravaged by riots for much of this year.

The demonstrations, which went on for more than 100 consecutive nights and only ended after raging wildfires sparked in the region, resulted in over 1,000 arrests in the city and an incredible amount of property damage.

However, his decision to sidestep mentioning left-wing contributors to the violence such as Antifa and Black Lives Matter as potential threats along with white supremacists is questionable, to say the least.

He's getting panned
Fittingly, Wheeler's warning was met with swift backlash from conservative commentators.

Portland-based reporter Andy Ngo wrote: "Who was responsible for the march of destruction on MLK Blvd on Saturday night? That group then went over to Vancouver, Wash. to do the same to businesses there. They chanted, 'Black lives matter.'"

"You absolute clown. White supremacists aren't burning down the cities. Resign," Ian Miles Cheong said on Twitter.

Another wrote: "How absolutely disconnected from reality does one need to be to believe that 'white nationalists' are responsible for any of the riots in Portland?

Or that the 'decisive rhetoric' is coming out of the mouths of anyone but Democrats? Truly incredible levels of derangement here."

According to the Washington Times, Candace Owens told Fox News host Tucker Carlson that some of the businesses boarding up their stores in anticipation of violence have posted signs supporting Black Lives Matter. This, she said, is proof that they believe property-damaging protesters will come from the left.

"Now why would a business owner feel the need to spray paint on their own business boarded up, 'We support Black Lives Matter?' Because they're hoping that they send that message," Owens said. "They know exactly who's going to attack them. They know it's not Trump supporters. They know it's the left. It's the radical left."

MY favorite pastor died and left his 83 Year old widow, who was COMPLETELY depending on him, Alone in Vancouver WA, justa few miles across from Portland OR. I asked her if she could go stay with her kids for a few days but she said the closest two kids live in Portland, Or.! I worry bout her, she had back surgery a month ago and is not able to use computers or email, she can still drive to the closest supermarket though. She s old fashioned, frail, 85 pounds, super feminine, never did or learned anything a “Lady shouldnt“ be concerned with, so is virtually helpless. she worries and frightens VERY EASILY, and is afraid of absolutely everything.

She has NO IDEA what is going on except an ordinary election. Nobody dares tell her the real situation. I am too far away to help.
