It's movie time on TB2K. Here are a variety of movies to help kick back from the real world if only for a few hours.
I'm putting each in a separate post. That should make it easier to comment, discuss, or like a specific choice.
If you watch or download a movie, please comment or like to guide future selections.
Click the "movies" tag at the top to see a list of all previous movie threads.
Click on individual movie posters to see them full size.
The movie trailers are located in post #9.

Enjoy the Show!

The fifth movie is 12 Angry Men. This 1957 drama stars Henry Fonda, Lee Cobb, Martin Balsam, Jack Klugman, and E. G. Marshall.

- A jury holdout attempts to prevent a miscarriage of justice by forcing his colleagues to reconsider the evidence.

The defense and the prosecution have rested and the jury is filing into the jury room to decide if a young man is guilty or innocent of murdering his father. What begins as an open-and-shut case of murder soon becomes a detective story that presents a succession of clues creating doubt, and a mini-drama of each of the jurors' prejudices and preconceptions about the trial, the accused, and each other. Based on the play, all of the action takes place on the stage of the jury room.

The seventh movie is One Eyed Jacks. This 1961 western was directed by and stars Marlon Brando. Also starring is Karl Malden, Ben Johnson, Slim Pickens, and Katy Jurado. This movie is available at both youtube and archive.org.

After a successful bank robbery, double-crossed by his mentor and partner-in-crime Dad Longworth, Rio finds himself incarcerated in Sonora, Mexico. Under those circumstances, love is stronger than the need for revenge, as, once more, Dad robs Rio of something precious. Now, Dad wrongfully accuses Rio of robbing a bank. Good thing I finally got that 2TB SSD for my new laptop. Looks like tonight's movies are going to be the first to go onto it!
12 Angry men is a superb! movie. And I remember seeing Chitty Chitty Bang Bang when it first came out in 1968. I was 4, and saw it at a drive in with my family. Casino is a great gangster type movie. Really good. The others this week are new to me but sure to be watched. Your movies are better than the ones on streaming services!

You as minister of TB2K culture and enlightenment have brought TONS of happiness to the Alf household.

We've watched several I've downloaded in bed. Fire up the laptop, grab the snacks, Astor and Roscoe and enjoy!

As far as a few requests, I got a few the motorheads here might enjoy. LeMans, starring Steve McQueen. There was a racing movie done starring James Garner, can't remember the name of it but it's gritty, real deal racing and it's an awesome flick. He was a man's man-a truly great guy.
Another car movie might be Vanishing Point, from 1971 (NOT the horrendous remake). And another one that's not the greatest, but worth a watch is Six Pack starring Kenny Rogers. I was an extra in that movie at the ripe old age of 16. Oh, how about Thunder Road with Robert Mitchum? Great moonshining/cars movie.

Thanks for a superb collection this week!

I've added Le Mans, Grand Prix (James Garner), Thunder Road, and Six Pack to the list of potential movies to find.

Vanishing Point was posted in early March. All the movies from that thread are still up.
PLAY - TB2K Movies --- Panic in Year Zero (1962) --- Apollo 13 (1995) --- Vanishing Point (1971) --- Kill Me Again (1989) --- The Terror of Tiny Town (1938)

I also noticed that James Garner seemed to have an effect on some of the ladies of TB2K. I'll add his movies to the search list as well. :)

Excellent, thank you. Great guy movies there! Forgot about Vanishing Point; I was traveling at the time those movies were posted. I'll go back through and grab it. Thank you!

Yeah, for some reason James Garner was catnip for the ladies from way back. Remember my mom glued to the TV every time the Rockford files came on. She loved him! I like him because he's a good actor, he was Christian, a war veteran (Korea) and was married to his (one) wife until he died.

Oooh, that brings up another movie he did. The Children's Hour, with Shirley McLane and Audrey Hepburn. Great movie, read the reviews on it. Pretty doggone racy for the early 60's too. It was in black and white, great movie if you can find it.
