WAR Something Wicked This Way Comes: Anarchy Is Being Loosed Upon The Nation

Ragnarok

On and On, South of Heaven
Every day I ask myself the same question: How can this be happening in America? How can people like these be in charge of our country? If I didn’t see it with my own eyes, I’d think I was having a hallucination.
- Philip Roth, novelist

Things are falling apart.

How much longer we can sustain the fiction that we live in a constitutional republic, I cannot say, but anarchy is being loosed upon the nation.

We are witnessing the unraveling of the American dream one injustice at a time.

Day after day, the government’s crimes against the citizenry grow more egregious, more treacherous and more tragic. And day after day, the American people wake up a little more to the grim realization that they have become captives in a prison of their own making.

No longer a free people, we are now pushed and prodded and watched over by twitchy, hyper-sensitive, easily-spooked armed guards who care little for the rights, humanity or well-being of those in their care.

The death toll is mounting.

The carnage is heartbreaking.

The public’s faith in the government to do its job—which is to protect our freedoms—is deteriorating.

It doesn’t take a weatherman to realize when a storm is brewing: clouds gather, the wind begins to blow, and an almost-palpable tension builds.

It’s the same way with freedom.

The warning signs are everywhere.

“Things fall apart,” wrote W.B. Yeats in his dark, forbidding poem “The Second Coming.”

“The centre cannot hold; mere anarchy is loosed upon the world, the blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere the ceremony of innocence is drowned … Surely some revelation is at hand.”

The upcoming election and its aftermath will undoubtedly keep the citizenry divided and at each other’s throats, so busy fighting each other that they never manage to present a unified front against tyranny in any form. Yet the winner has already been decided. As American satirist H.L. Mencken predicted almost a century ago:

“All the odds are on the man who is, intrinsically, the most devious and mediocre — the man who can most adeptly disperse the notion that his mind is a virtual vacuum. The Presidency tends, year by year, to go to such men. As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart’s desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.”

In other words, nothing will change.

You cannot have a republican form of government—nor a democratic one, for that matter—when the government views itself as superior to the citizenry, when it no longer operates for the benefit of the people, when the people are no longer able to peacefully reform their government, when government officials cease to act like public servants, when elected officials no longer represent the will of the people, when the government routinely violates the rights of the people and perpetrates more violence against the citizenry than the criminal class, when government spending is unaccountable and unaccounted for, when the judiciary act as courts of order rather than justice, and when the government is no longer bound by the laws of the Constitution.

For too long, the American people have obeyed the government’s dictates, no matter now unjust.

We have paid its taxes, penalties and fines, no matter how outrageous. We have tolerated its indignities, insults and abuses, no matter how egregious. We have turned a blind eye to its indiscretions and incompetence, no matter how imprudent. We have held our silence in the face of its lawlessness, licentiousness and corruption, no matter how illicit.

We have suffered. Oh how we have suffered.

How much longer we will continue to suffer at the hands of a tyrannical police state depends on how much we’re willing to give up for the sake of freedom.

It may well be that Professor Morris Berman is correct: perhaps we are entering into the dark ages that signify the final phase of the American Empire. “It seems to me,” writes Berman, “that the people do get the government they deserve, and even beyond that, the government who they are, so to speak. In that regard, we might consider, as an extreme version of this… that Hitler was as much an expression of the German people at that point in time as he was a departure from them.”

For the moment, the American people seem content to sit back and watch the reality TV programming that passes for politics today. It’s the modern-day equivalent of bread and circuses, a carefully calibrated exercise in how to manipulate, polarize, propagandize and control a population.

As French philosopher Etienne de La Boétie observed half a millennium ago:

“Plays, farces, spectacles, gladiators, strange beasts, medals, pictures, and other such opiates, these were for ancient peoples the bait toward slavery, the price of their liberty, the instruments of tyranny. By these practices and enticements the ancient dictators so successfully lulled their subjects under the yoke, that the stupefied peoples, fascinated by the pastimes and vain pleasures flashed before their eyes, learned subservience as naively, but not so creditably, as little children learn to read by looking at bright picture books.”

The bait towards slavery. The price of liberty. The instruments of tyranny.

Yes, that sounds about right.

“We the people” have learned only too well how to be slaves. Worse, we have come to enjoy our voluntary servitude, which masquerades as citizenship.

This presidential election is yet another pacifier to lull us into complacency and blind us to the monsters in our midst.

I refuse to be pacified, patronized or placated.

Here’s my plan: rather than staying glued to my TV set, watching politicians and talking heads regurgitate the same soundbites over and over, I’m going to keep doing the hard work that needs to be done to keep freedom alive in this country.

That’s why, almost 40 years ago, I founded The Rutherford Institute: as a nonpartisan, apolitical organization committed to the principles enshrined in the Constitution and Bill of Rights that would work tirelessly to reshape the government from the bottom up into one that respects freedom, recognizes our worth as human beings, resists corruption, and abides by the rule of law.

It’s a thankless, never-ending job, but someone’s got to do it. And I can promise you that when I do eventually turn on the TV, John Carpenter—not Donald Trump or Joe Biden—will be my pick for escapist entertainment.

Carpenter’s films, known primarily for their horror themes, are infused with strong anti-authoritarian, overarching themes that speak to the filmmaker’s concerns about the unraveling of our society, particularly our government. Even among a pantheon of dystopian films such as Minority Report, Nineteen Eighty-Four, The Matrix, V for Vendetta, and Land of the Blind, Carpenter’s work stands out for its clarity of vision.

Carpenter sees the government working against its own citizens.

Yet while Carpenter is a skeptic and critic, there’s also a strange optimism that runs through his films. “A close view of Carpenter’s work reveals a romantic streak beneath the skepticism,” John Muir writes in his insightful book The Films of John Carpenter, “a belief down deep—far below the anti-establishment hatred—that a single committed and idealistic person can make a difference, even if society does not recognize that person as valuable or good.”

In fact, Carpenter’s central characters are always out of step with their times. Underneath their machismo, they still believe in the ideals of liberty and equal opportunity. Their beliefs place them in constant opposition with the law and the establishment, but they are nonetheless freedom fighters. When, for example, John Nada destroys the alien hypno-transmitter in They Live, he restores hope by delivering America a wake-up call for freedom.

This is the theme that runs throughout Carpenter’s films—the belief in American ideals and in people. “He believes that man can do better,” writes Muir, “and his heroes consistently prove that worthy goals (such as saving the Earth from malevolent shape-shifters) can be accomplished, but only through individuality.”

Thus, John Carpenter is more than a filmmaker. He is a cultural analyst and a keen observer of the unraveling of the American psyche.

“I’m disgusted by what we’ve become in America,” said Carpenter.

“I truly believe there is brain death in this country. Everything we see is designed to sell us something. The only thing they want to do is take our money.”

The following are my favorite Carpenter films.

Assault on Precinct 13 (1976): This is essentially a remake of Howard Hawks’ 1959 classic western Rio Bravo—much beloved by Carpenter. A street gang and assorted criminals surround and assault a police station. Paranoia abounds as the police are attacked from all sides and can see no way out. Indeed, Carpenter repeatedly has his characters comment, in disbelief, that “This can’t happen, not today!” or “We’re in the middle of a city … in a police station … someone will drive by eventually!” Or will they?

Halloween (1978): This low-budget horror masterpiece launched Carpenter’s career. Acclaimed as the most successful independent motion picture of all time, the story centers on a deranged youth who returns to his hometown to conduct a murderous rampage after fifteen years in an asylum. This film, which assumes that there is a form of evil so dark that it can’t be killed, deconstructs our technological existence while reminding us that in the end, we all may have to experience Orwell’s stamping boot on our faces forever.

The Fog (1980): This is a disturbing ghost story made in the mode of Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds (1963). Here the menace besieging a small town is not a pack of winged pests but rather a deadly fog bank that cloaks vengeful, faceless, evil spirits from which there may be no escape.

Escape from New York (1981): This is the ultimate urban nightmare. A ruined Manhattan of the future is an anarchic prison for America’s worst criminals. When the U.S. president is captured as a hostage, the government sends a disgraced, rebellious war hero into Manhattan in what seems to be an impossible rescue mission. In fact, this film sees fascism as the future of America.

The Thing (1982): Considered by many as one of Carpenter’s best films, this is a remake of the 1951 sci-fi classic of the same name. A team of scientists in a remote Antarctic outpost discover a buried spaceship with a ravenous, mutating alien that eventually creates a claustrophobic, paranoid environment within their compound. The social commentary is obvious as the horrible creature literally erupts and bursts out of human flesh. This film presupposes that increasingly we are all becoming dehumanized. Thus, in the end, we are all potential aliens.

Christine (1983): This film adaptation of Stephen King’s novel finds a young man with a classic automobile that is demonically possessed. The car, representing technology with a will and consciousness of its own, goes on a murderous rampage. Do we now face the same possibility with the predominance of artificial intelligence?

Starman (1984): An alien from an advanced civilization takes on the guise of a young widow’s recently deceased husband. The couple then takes off on a long drive to rendezvous with the alien spacecraft so he can return home. Surprisingly, as John Muir recognizes, this film is a Christ allegory with the alien visitor possessing extraordinary powers to heal the sick, resurrect the dead, and perform miracles. The question posed is whether the only hope for humanity is a visitor from another world.

They Live (1988): This film, which I explore in detail in my books, assumes the future has already arrived. John Nada is a homeless person who stumbles across a resistance movement and finds a pair of sunglasses that enables him to see the real world around him. What he discovers is a monochrome reality in a world controlled by ominous beings who bombard the citizens with subliminal messages such as “obey” and “conform.” Carpenter makes an effective political point about the underclass (everyone except those in power, that is): we, the prisoners of our devices, are too busy sucking up the entertainment trivia beamed into our brains and attacking each other to start an effective resistance movement. As the Bearded Man in They Live tells us:

The poor and the underclass are growing. Racial justice and human rights are non-existent. They have created a repressive society and we are their unwitting accomplices . . . They are dismantling the sleeping middle class. More and more people are becoming poor. We are their cattle. We are being bred for slavery.

In the Mouth of Madness (1995): A successful horror novelist’s fans become so engrossed in his stories that they slip into dementia and carry out the grisly acts depicted in his books. When this film was being conceived, politicians were criticizing horror movies for promoting violence. Carpenter parodied this argument while noting that evil grows when people lose “the ability to know the difference between reality and fantasy.” As we lose ourselves in ever-evolving technology, we are increasingly blurring that distinction. Does that mean evil will eventually overcome us all?

Madness. Delusion. Denial. Paranoia. Inhumanity. These are some of the monsters of our age.

In the cinematic world of John Carpenter, whenever freedom falls to tyranny, it is because the people allowed it to happen.

It works that way in the real world, too.

The lesson, as I make clear in my book Battlefield America: The War on the American People: they - the tyrants, the bogeymen, the strongmen, the enemies of freedom - live, because “we the people” sleep.

Time to wake up, America, and break free of your chains.

Something wicked this way comes.

Are We Going To Witness The Worst National Emotional Breakdown In History Once The Election Is Over?

Right now we are experiencing the calm before the storm. Many Biden supporters believe that a Trump victory would literally be the worst thing that could possibly happen to our country, but at the moment most of them are quite confident that Biden will win. Likewise, many Trump supporters are absolutely convinced that we will plunge into a horrifying socialist abyss if Biden wins, but for now most of them are convinced that the polls are wrong and that Trump will pull out another victory in November.

So with just a little over a week until Election Day, most Americans that really care about politics are pacified because they believe that a positive outcome is right around the corner.

But soon that will change, and tens of millions of Americans will simultaneously melt down emotionally right in front of our eyes.

I think that just about everyone realizes that this national temper tantrum is coming. It is just that most of those that deeply care about politics assume that it will happen to the other side.

At this point, even Facebook is preparing for the worst. In fact, they are getting ready to implement “emergency measures” that are usually reserved for the most “at-risk” countries…

As the U.S. braces for election-related unrest next month, Facebook executives are implementing emergency measures reserved for “at-risk” countries in a company-wide effort to bring down the online temperature.

The Wall Street Journal reported Sunday that the social media giant plans to limit the spread of viral content and lower the benchmark for suppressing potentially inflammatory posts using internal tools previously deployed in Sri Lanka and Myanmar.

So what would those “emergency measures” look like? Well, that could potentially even include manipulating your news feed to alter what sort of content you are allowed to see…

Facebook has a number of options it could take including “slowing the spread of viral content and lowering the bar for suppressing potentially inflammatory posts” and “tweaking the news feed to change what types of content users see,” the Wall Street Journal reported.

Of course Facebook has already been manipulating our news feeds for a very long time, but that is a topic for another article.

Personally, I absolutely detest all of the censorship that the big social media companies have been doing, and I am not surprised that they are preparing to go even further.

According to Facebook, these new “emergency measures” will be implemented if there is “election-related violence”…

However, the social media colossus only plans to put these restrictions in place in the event of election-related violence (something many others are fearful of and preparing for). However, during a staff meeting CEO Mark Zuckerberg said “a decisive victory from someone” could “be helpful for clarity and for not having violence or civil unrest after the election” which would reduce Facebook’s need to step in.

Considering the fact that we are seeing election-related violence almost constantly now, I would say that there is a pretty good chance that Facebook will actually proceed with these emergency measures.

Meanwhile, the Washington Post is also deeply concerned about what this election may do to our nation. In a very long article that they just published, they discussed the fact that both sides are convinced that “the wrong outcome will bring disaster”…

One week before Americans choose their path forward, the quadrennial crossroads reeks of despair. In almost every generation, politicians pose certain elections as the most important of their time. But the 2020 vote is taking place with the country in a historically dark mood — low on hope, running on spiritual empty, convinced that the wrong outcome will bring disaster.

“I’ve never seen anything like it,” said Frank Luntz, a Republican political consultant who has been convening focus groups of undecided voters for seven presidential cycles. “Even the most balanced, mainstream people are talking about this election in language that is more caffeinated and cataclysmic than anything I’ve ever heard.”

Emotions were definitely running high in 2016, but we have never seen anything quite like this.

Most Democrats believe that Trump and his supporters are deeply evil, and likewise most Republicans believe that Biden and his supporters are deeply evil.

And of course there are also many that are entirely convinced that all of them are deeply evil.

When you have a nation that is this deeply divided, how is anyone ever going to be able to bring us together in unity?

It has been said that a house divided with surely fall, and at this point our divisions have brought us to the verge of national collapse. Here is more from the Washington Post…

But now, the worry on the right that a Democratic win would plunge the nation into catastrophic socialism and the fear on the left that a Trump victory would produce a turn toward totalitarianism have created “a perilous moment — the idea that if the other side wins, we’re in for it,” said Peter Stearns, a historian of emotions at George Mason University.

“The two sides have come to view each other not as opponents, but as deeply evil,” he said. “And that’s happening when trust in institutions has collapsed and each group is choosing not to live near each other. It seems there’s no middle ground.”

But as I pointed out at the beginning of this article, for now both sides are relatively calm because they both believe that they are going to end up winning.

In 2016, the big national polls were dead wrong and Trump pulled out a close victory when the mainstream media had assured everyone that it was inevitable that Hillary Clinton would win.

And once again this year there are indications that the big national polls may be flawed and that Trump may be doing significantly better than the mainstream media is telling us.

On the other hand, Hillary Clinton never came close to the 50 percent mark in most national polls in 2016, and Joe Biden has consistently been above that level in recent weeks. Democratic operatives would have us believe that indicates that there are far fewer undecided voters this time around.

So I guess we will just have to wait until the real results start coming in to see who was right and who was wrong.

Because so many Americans are voting by mail, it is going to take a lot longer than usual to count all the votes, and a number of key swing states are likely to be very close. If the results are close enough, it may take weeks before we have an official winner.

Once an official winner is finally declared, there will be tens of millions of Americans in deep emotional pain.

When all of those deeply hurting people start lashing out, you won’t want to be anywhere around.

Gov. Abbot Sending 1,000 National Guard Troops To 5 Texas Cities For Possible 'Post-Election Violence'

It's been a nationally observable trend for months that Americans - often who have never so much as purchased a single weapon - are now stockpiling guns, ammo, and survivalist gear ahead of what many fear will be a contested election followed by mayhem and unrest, especially in urban areas which saw mass rioting and looting over the summer and the complete breakdown of law and order.

Anticipating this very scenario Republican Gov. Greg Abbot has mobilized up to 1,000 troops to safeguard major cities in Texas on election day and afterward over potential unrest and "disturbances", Fox News reports.

The San Antonio Express-News in a report Monday listed the five large cities where potential violence is expected, but which will see national guardsmen patrolling streets as Dallas, Houston, Fort Worth, Austin and San Antonio.

Recall that last month Abbot threatened to take over the Austin Police Department to thwart the capital city's attempt to drastically cut police funding.

The Texas National Guard command has further reportedly been asked by the governor's office to draft specific contingency plans in case of an outbreak of election violence.

Adjutant General Maj. Gen. Tracy Norris in a statement said the Texas Military Department was previously "activated to provide additional support to the Department of Public Safety in the summer of 2020" and that it will fill this role once again related to the November election.

"Texas Service Members continue to support DPS in this capacity, guarding historical landmarks such as the Alamo and the State Capitol," Norris said. Austin police earlier said local law enforcement "will plan and prepare for any large protest or civil unrest events related to the upcoming elections."

However, given Texas Democrats are outraged and on edge over the Republican governor ordering up the National Guard, the general further underscored:

"To be clear, there has been no request nor any plan to provide any type of support at any polling location in Texas."

View: https://twitter.com/Grav1/status/1321126142909292544

On Tuesday many county and local Democrats slammed the move as unconstitutional and completely unjustified as nothing but a "peaceful election" is expected, they said.

It's also the case that the 5 cities tend to be Democratic strongholds, as many commentators are also pointing out.

Critics have cried foul, claiming the mere presence of troops anywhere on Texas city streets is a form of voter suppression and intimidation. But as is currently being demonstrated with police being attacked by large roving mobs in Philadelphia, the potential for post-election chaos remains very real, especially if there's a Trump victory.

When you have a nation that is this deeply divided, how is anyone ever going to be able to bring us together in unity?

No one can. Not ever again.

As John Adams wrote prophetically "liberty once lost, is lost forever". You do not get it back, even as many attempts and causes are announced to do so. Something much worse always comes out of those efforts.

A nation whose people are no longer bound by a common foundational morality, language, principles and culture is a people who will ALWAYS end up in a furious bloodbath. There is no historical example exempting this fact of human nature.

The big lie of "Diversity is our strength" will have been our undoing, along with a refusal to INSIST upon an American culture being taught and accepted by all has doomed us to annihilation.

Not including the most important reason - as a people we have abandoned our God and our foundational principles for personal expedience and gratification.

INVAR its so good to see you, you always tell it like it is.

I agree that America has committed suicide, by abandoning God and He in turn, has sent delusion upon us. Now we as a country will reap the consequences of our Godlessness.

So what to do?????? Just sit by and suffer the REAPING?
Cry upon our pillows wailing and weeping that all is lost?

OR accept your DOOM...

If people bring so much courage to this world the world has to kill them to break them, so of course it kills them. The world breaks every one and afterward many are strong at the broken places. But those that will not break it kills. It kills the very good and the very gentle and the very brave impartially. If you are none of these you can be sure it will kill you too but there will be no special hurry.

Mentioned only obliquely in the second major essay, and not at all in the first one, is this widespread phenomenon: productive and/or conservative (very substantial though not 100% overlap in those characteristics) Americans are permanently fleeing the cities, counties, states, and regions farthest along in transformation to antiwhite communist hells. It was first seen in places like Harlem in the 1950s and Detroit in the 1960s. Now, the whole NE U.S. south to Delaware and New Jersey, Illinois, and the West Coast are becoming Brazil if a broke (with money for lawyers and nothing else) sociopathic Massachusetts HOA was running them. This is already far enough advanced that their financial and political clout are noticeably dropping, that there is serious talk in the highest levels of governments there at forcibly trapping companies and taxpayers there. (The U.S. Federal Government also does this now to some degree with how they have in recent years made it a drawn-out, extortionately expensive PITA to renounce citizenship and emigrate, a huge change.) Likewise, many nonliberals now quietly but ruthlessly screen out anyone they view as possibly "woke" as friends, coworkers they choose to help, neighbors they befriend, romantic partners, vendors they buy from, companies they work for, or potential employees they might hire. (#Metoo has kept many women from promotions or being hired.) So, there is some major pushback already, though clearly nowhere enough to stop the would-be oppressors. Extensive and severe destititution, imprisonment, being forced refugees, and various levels of violence is clearly going to be needed; the big question for our time now is will the other side receive enough, soon enough? I don't know, but would love to.

Hey doctor_fungcool,

You'll probably remember that I am a born again Christian and that all is not lost for me no matter what happens in the physical world...yeah I think we are about to enter the Biblical Tribulation and all that that means. I'm prepared no matter what. But I have to admit I want to see Jesus and kiss his feet in the worst way. I have congestive heart failure and High Blood Pressure so I could croak at anytime...but I take my meds and do what the Doctors tell me.

Everything thats hidden in america is becoming known. That alone could fuel anarchy: no commie group needed to light that fire.

But only God knows what will happen from here on out.

Just know to hold fast your faith in Christ, and if any of you dont know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, please do it now. (Romans 10:9-13, Acts 4:12)

Scripture quote on secular thread
A friend of mine, Luke, once wrote, "...there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open."

Ephesians 6:10-18

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, ...

NOTE: sage advice.

On the other side of this, some Christians believe that America is about to experience an out pouring of the Holy Spirit, kinda a super pentacost, if you will. I hope and Pray for this to be true.

I dont. Let me explain.

The charismatic movement is satans clown show. But so is denominationalism.
The church was chopped up and divided a long time ago.
And yet, every denomination believes they are the only ones going to heaven.

Heathens see the hypocrisy and are turned off.

But,thats about to change.

Its our turn to be tried in the fire.(Psalm 26:2)

The revival is in repentance.

Thats the hope, that we are right with God; then the lost will be drawn.

Ragnarock your OP is the BEST thing I've read all year. It's dead on and cuts right through to the bottom line, past all the bread and circuses.

It was interesting to learn about John Carpenter's ideologies. Big fan of "In the Mouth of Madness" and of course "They Live".

Thank you so much for posting this. It's reassuring to know that others can see through the fog. Especially during an election year, it seems that we are surrounded by zombies.

JF&P I am so with you, 1000%. What you said- it's the only thing that matters to me. Jesus come quickly.

Love and blessings to you all, my brothers and sisters.

Ok, my brothers and sisters, good job hitting the crux of the issue, and giving glory to God.

Now, back to the OP/anarchy.

Let us remember the recent threads from Dennis and mods asking us to keep our deeper theological stuff in the REL forum.

One of my concerns from last night was the shutdown of the broadcastify audio stream out of Philly. That portends a future where we won't know the extent of the riots. I saw a twitter photo (thanks mzkitty) of some stores on Rittenhouse Square boarding up, but was unable to verify whether trouble came that way or not.

For me it is just curiosity, but for those living nearby, it's important intel.

it wold explain the Democrats lack of effort in the campaign for the Presidency.

Anarchy is the state of a society being freely constituted without authorities or a governing body.

If anarchy is "without a governing body", then the objective of the Democrats IS the dissolution of the United States, dissolution of the Constitution, dissolution of the Presidency.

If your goal is to dissolve the government, then there is no reason to compete for an office that will no longer exist.

If the goal is to create a "democratic" socialist government, then the body that is "democratic", the "house of representatives" becomes foremost and its "democratically" elected leader would become the Premier Representative.

Seems pretty obvious to me, at least, that the Deep State, aka “the Swamp”, is in cahoots with China and the DNC to start a civil war here. Trump and his allies have short-circuited that through the legal means (controlling the Senate and overturning activist courts), and Trumps tireless rallies have demonstrated that there is a huge, (bare, big?) majority of Americans who are still Americans.

I think we are in for some major surprises Real Soon. Hang onto hope. America wasn’t an accident, and God still rules in heaven. It may look pretty devastating for awhile, but there are indications in scripture that indicate that there must be something that survives in the West because it comes to challenge the antichrist during the events in the Middle East.

We may be down, (And headed into chaos even more...) but we are not out.
“we”, those whose hope is in Christ, know that we belong to the Father and that our lives have a purpose, His purpose, which the lies of the devil can never overcome. Never give up, and always be looking for the opportunity to employ that most powerful weapon of all: His Word.

I believe there are Christians(those who love Jesus) that are stuck in those divisions, and need to come out.

I dont claim any denomination.

I just believe that the KJV is the Word of God and try to live my life by it everyday.
And I fail at that quite a bit by walking in the flesh and not the Spirit.

So what to do?????? Just sit by and suffer the REAPING?
Cry upon our pillows wailing and weeping that all is lost?
Really???

Invar where is your inner Conan the Barbarian who said..."
  • Crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of their women.
  • .OR...lament that all is lost and cry like BITCHZ as the great slaughtering begins!

Rag - you've published several excellent pieces above - EACH - of which offer multiple clearly expressed reasons why the people should PURGE the commies in this country and yet I can clearly recall you being in "never in my lifetime not here" camp concerning CWII. at this point I find myself wondering if you might be off your meds.

INVAR - you are extremely well written and articulate. you - like Rag - are obviously someone with significant understanding of Christianity and biblically well read - though I wonder if you may be a bit forgetful of the OT principles of "root and branch, scorched earth and salted ground". much of your writing is defeatist. its discouraging. it suggests we do nothing but comply cooperate and continue to passively sit on our ass. COME OUT AND TAKE A SIDE.

please understand guys - I'm speaking descriptively and NOT disparagingly. not intending to be argumentative in any way shape or form. I ask simply this -

EXACTLY WHAT would you fellows have us do?

Isaiah 26

20 Come, my people, enter your rooms,
And shut your doors behind you;
Hide yourself, as it were, for a little while,
Until the indignation is past.
21 For behold, the LORD comes out of His place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity;

Ohhhh....now you're in trouble.... No Lord's Word unless it's buried in the correct thread.

Amen!

Oh, yeah der! What's the quote about if I have to come for you I'm going to destroy everything and kill everything you love? Something like that - love that quote.

Figger if I gotta put boots on, outside of rape (who's got time for that - well, besides Hunter), I plan to go complete scorched earth. Burn and kill. My time will be short, taking all I can with me. But I pray to God Almighty it doesn't come to that, too old for those games.

an excellent post. I identify as "Independent Fundamental Baptist" . . . because I attend there and that's the preacher I sit under. BUT - I do not agree with EVERYTHING espoused by ANY denomination . . .

one of my very favorite sayings is "have an open mind but not so open as to let your brain fall out" the very next is "rigidity of thought is a profoundly debilitating weakness" after all . . . we're told to "study to show ourselves approved."

most dogma is man made and not GOD given . . . MOST of it doesn't even affect your salvation - yet we'll fight over it and destroy the peace were intended to have . . . seems like the enemy's perfect plan to me

The Second Coming
Launch Audio in a New Window
BY WILLIAM BUTLER YEATS

Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi
Troubles my sight: somewhere in sands of the desert
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds.
The darkness drops again; but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?

Most of this, and the thousand's of other threads across the net like it, is when do we finally say enough's enough?

That's the $64MM question. But being the disorganized bunch we are (across the nation, just not here) how do you get the word out that NOW is the time (whenever that may be).

I dunno, tough questions.

Of course there's the ol' adage that goes around if you run out onto your porch with your gun and you're the only one, go back inside, it's not time yet.

Lurker, there won't be fields of battle with uniformed soldiers under their respective command structures, facing each other. Thus, "when do we 'go'?" will vary by location and whatever the local government is trying to pull. WW2 and Korea were perfect examples of "classic war." But when Viet Nam came along, that paradigm was abandoned (at least by the north). We didn't know how to fight that kind of war. We still don't.

Agree - what would you have us do? Take up arms and start killing politicians? If so, why haven't YOU already started? (Hint: "Let's you and him fight.")

tell ya what I'd have us do boss . . . I'd have us AGREE that WHEN its time to do ^^ THAT^^ it be done - well and completely done no need to lecture about the WHEN of it either - you will KNOW "when" . . . and "you" = everyone here.

too much waffling and no progress - can we loose? hell ya we can loose - but the END POINT is one and the same if we do nothing. its been shouted here forever: GET YOU MIND RIGHT. DECIDE NOW WHAT YOU WILL DO "WHEN". time for some of us here to understand that there WILL BE a "when".

a bit like you when you make the accurate statement - if you draw a weapon- you'd better use it. all I'm saying is at least DECIDE and then COMMIT that you will in fact draw to begin with

I suspect what we are going to face is going to be more akin to "the Troubles" in Ireland, but on a much grander scale.
With a healthy dose of the Balkans thrown in, by the time 2024 rolls around I really can't envision a union of 50 states still existing.
