Wonder if he has the balls to roll down through the General Staff like a threshing machine
"When you strike at a king, you must kill him." (Emerson)
Now we get to see the riposte (fancy fencing term there) for this blatant Demoncrat attempt to strike not only at a leader but at the heart and soul of the nation. I have said before this is for all the marbles. Make no mistake, we are now involved in what may turn into an all out war if the adults do not control it properly.
IMO the Insurrection Act is now staged, but there has to be a reliable military chain of command in place for orders to be executed. This event will get the attention of all of DoD. It may stiffen their resolve to oppose DJT as much as possible as to cow them into submission however. A wise leader only allows generals to think they are important, not to actually assume importance beyond their station. US generals have been out of control for decades and the rot extends deep in the ranks.
This was a clear sign to me that DJT is not going to just roll over and take this fraud, but it will likely kick off a burn-it-down fight by the Demoncrats.
As to the Acting SecDef, most officers are basically placeholders. I have not seen or heard anything to indicate this one was anything other than that. The ambitious ones with their own plans are the scary ones. The ones to mark time are not scary. If this one understands where his bread is buttered, he will do the job like any good officer does - not make waves.
Giving this job to a former ASD/SOLIC tells me someone expects this to get down'n'dirty.
