Yes.. an alert is an alert... means something very important going on right now! Didn't think an airhead speaking constituted an alert...I could be here 10 years to figure that one out lol!

Thank you for letting us know what you think of Sarah Palin......

Thanks, Koz, for the running commentary, and thanks Red Baron, for yet another live Fox feed. I missed it but with the feed, I can watch the repeat. I clicked on just in time to see that idiot Juan Williams state the entire tea party movement is an Anti-Obama movement.

I'm pretty po'd at Sarah right now. Her statement on health care is an example of why. No, Sarah, they don't need to start over. Health care is NONE OF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT'S BUSINESS!

Good Morning all. Now, here comes the fall out from last night. From the Jiji Press in Japanese, translated by Free Republic poster "American in Tokyo";

PALIN CRITICIZES OBAMA FOREIGN POLICY, SAYS US-JAPANESE RELATIONS "ARE AT THEIR WORST CONDITION"
日米関係「最悪の状態」=オバマ外交を批判-ペイリン氏

JIJI PRESS, Washington, D.C. reporter

"Sarah Palin, the former governor of Alaska who was the 2008 nominee by the Republican Party for Vice President, delivered a speech yesterday in Nashville at the national convention of the conservative alliance "Tea Party". "

She criticized Obama on his foreign policy. And regarding Japan-US relations she said, "(they) are our most critical ally in Asia and yet now US-Japan Relations are suffering an unprecedented low." She also stated regarding the US President's foreign policy that "Obama has only been president for one year, and already he has an outstretched hand to our enemies like Iran and North Korea". It is an item of interest as to whether or not she will be a candidate for President in the next election, but she stated "the Tea Party movement should not be centered around one sole individual, but should be a grassroots, expanding movement".

(End my FreePranslation)

And an additional comment from the poster:

You're welcome.
Other countries must be covering this, too, today.

She had quite a foreign policy component to her talk last night.

This to me was a very pivotal speech, coming after nearly a year of adoration of Obama in Japan with little reporting of anything critical of him of substance--although even that is changing somewhat. Although the Tea Parties and Townhall meetings themselves were reported in the Japanese media to some extent, and some of the high-brow elite Japanese outlets, usually conservative subscription magazines, has already taken BHO appart due to his perceived weakness in international affairs, this was a much more visible speech in Japan and if they play it hard, it is going to both raise her profile CONSIDERABLY, and also sucker-punch The Dear Leader in the solarplexus politically-speaking in my estimate. I do know that many Japanese in Japan in the know are truly shocked and disappointed about Obama after nearly a year of this nonsense.

Many average Japanese will most likely open their Japanese newspapers tomorrow, probably with a photo of her giving the address, perhaps saying to themselves, "whoaaaaa, what's thiiiiissss??"
