Growing up there, I remember being told more than once that the only color that matters in Atlanta was green.Money. Color was never an issue, people got along. That's what is so sad. Growing up and coming of age there, there was so much "getting along with each other" it wasn't funny. Flossie would sing the Varsity menu to everybody-when he died Atlanta held what amounted to a state funeral for him. Everybody attended, black white. It was respect for a man who entertained millions. We'd go into Mr. V's figure 8 club as 18-19 year olds (black club) and blacks would pop up at the 688 (white, punk club). The 40 watt club (famous Athens GA club) was always mixed. Nobody cared, everybody came for the music. Color was irrelevant. When I moved away I was shocked at the racism in other places; never came across it back home.

I wouldn't even entertain the thought of looting unless I was literally starving and then I would only take food. I read they looted a Great Clips. Imagine making off with a curling iron and a bottle of Paul Mitchell. What a haul! (rolls eyes)

I gotta love my home team. They let people throw their baby fits but you better mind the line in the sand. Watch so much pepper spray fly the ground was wet when people tried to topple the fence the cops were behind was a highlight of my night.

Milwaukee police officer shot overnight during 'civil unrest,' department says

A police officer was taken to the hospital for minor injuries after being shot overnight during 'civil unrest,' the Milwaukee Police Department said.

Police said it happened at 3:30 a.m. while the officer was responding to the area of 200 West Locust Street.
Protesters were near the area at the time. Dozens of cars were packed in the intersection of Martin Luther King Drive and Locust Street, where some people started breaking the windows of the nearby businesses.

The officer, 38, is a 4-year veteran of the Milwaukee Police Department. He is expected to survive.

Milwaukee police are searching for suspects involved. If anyone has information about the incident, call MPD at 414-935-7360 or Crime Stoppers at 414-224-TIPS.

MILWAUKEE -- Approximately 50 people were arrested Friday night in connection to the violent protests in Milwaukee, police said Saturday.

According to Milwaukee police, the protests began as peaceful and turned violent around 11:30 p.m. Friday.Milwaukee police said that people used the protesting opportunity to damage property, destroy businesses and more.

Milwaukee Police Department said officers arrested 50 people. The department is also working to identify additional suspects.

One police officer was shot, however, he sustained non life-threatening injuries.

The police department is asking that if you choose to protest, you do it peacefully.

In a press release, they said, "The Milwaukee Police Department will continue to protect our residents’ right to assemble and freedom of speech; however, we will arrest those who victimize people and vandalize property."

Wisconsin National Guard called to Milwaukee, to support local law enforcement amid protests

MILWAUKEE — The Wisconsin National Guard has been called to Milwaukee to assist local law enforcement in response to “agitators” that have disrupted otherwise peaceful protests following the death of George Floyd, Gov. Tony Evers announced on Saturday, May 30.

The assistance comes at the request of Milwaukee Police Chief Alfonso Morales, Mayor Tom Barrett, Milwaukee County Sheriff Earnell Lucas and Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley.

The governor authorized 125 members of the National Guard to be immediately used by local law enforcement in response to the agitators. Guard members may not be used to impede the ability of people’s peaceful protests or interfere with the media’s ability to report on these activities.

Gov. Evers and Barrett issued the following statement:

“It is critical that people are able to peacefully express their anger and frustration about systemic racism and injustice, in Milwaukee, the State of Wisconsin, and our Nation. This limited authorization of citizen soldiers from the Wisconsin National Guard will help protect people who are exercising their First Amendment rights and ensure the safety of the public.”

Morales says the protests — which formed peacefully on Friday afternoon, May 29 — turned violent around 11:30 p.m. The result left more than one dozen businesses damaged.

A Milwaukee police officer suffered a gunshot injury during civil unrest near 2nd and Locust early Saturday, May 30. The incident happened around 3:30 a.m.

didn't trump say that traveling from 1 state to another to participate in a crime is a federal beef?

arrest everyone and drag out the charges etc.. several days

be very thorough

confiscate any and all vehicles belonging to these out-of-staters who have been arrested,

if the vehicle is in the area of the 'festivities'

Well, here in Fayetteville, NC they are shutting Skibo Rd in the area of All American Parkway between Walmart at Yadkin Rd. to Cross Creek Mall. That is just a little over a mile from us. Ammo sales have been brisk. They shut down the Walmart. The manager of another store in that area just came in looking for shotgun shells.

We are not anticipating any problems here at the store.

Did I mention I have an M-60? Bwahahaha

It's not even their country. They live under a totally different political system than the USA.
This whole event is a New World Order driven event.
Why would people in other countries care about one single crook getting killed in another country?
