I watched a video of the cop car driving off. There was someone hanging on to the passenger side that let go and went rolling. That video didn't show anyone getting run over that I could see.

My reference was to LA. I am incredulous that LA doesn't have the working outline of a security plan which includes handshaking with the Sheriff's office.
Yes all of those folks can be interchanged, but if they have no skeleton plan they are guilty of misfeasance. ALL of them.

HE DID NOT RUN THEM OVER!! They attacked his vehicle and one of them jumped on the side of the hood as he was driving off. The idiot fell and was unconscious. I watched it live. That was 100% the protesters fault. And it was ONE person not a group!

Part of the problem with having a plan is knowing you have one and at least reading it, never mind running at least a table top with the principal actors.

When I fell into/woke up and found myself in a position where the beginning, middle and end of my Job Description was "EMERGENCY RESPONSE" for a city of 360K and 82.5 sqMi in a 2 MIL pop SMSA I had MOU's signed within 3 months with EVERYBODY my org interfaced with. AND we had a skeleton disaster plan which got finished over another 3 months.

I would not underestimate the MPD. They are a small army and can take care of themselves, plus they

I remember when New York City lost power back in 1977 and they were looting stores. One of the liberal reporters asked one of the cops if he thought the looting was due to people being hungry? He looked at her and said, "Well they must be thirsty too, since they are looting the liquor stores."
