Well, you need to separate the USA out from West Africa. West Africa is definitely not over with Ebola. Dallas is likely over with Ebola if there are no new cases by Thanksgiving.

Duncan was the first of many potential Ebola infected people coming through our airports and over our border. If the Duncan family is okay, it means Duncan wasn't as sick as the CDC first said.

People need to learn patience regarding Ebola. This is a plague that is going to take several years to play out and will have political, cultural, economic and medical results. One month in Dallas doesn't really tell us very much about what could happen in the USA. After all, it took over nine months to go from one case in West Africa to the 80,000 or so we really have there now.

The thing about the USA is the potential for many more people to be exposed by each infected individual given the way we live. It will only take one Ebola infected person on a bus, or a plane, or at a rock concert to infect dozens.

Maybe God answered our prayers and wiped out the virus?

OTOH....if He didn't....
Then this is NOT over by a longshot. And there is something in all this that we haven't quite been able to put our fingers on...I don't know WHAT it is....but its something....

And yeah, the Ebola-Czar is nothing more than a media shutter-upper. Somebody paid BIG BUCKS to intimidate, threaten, and harass the MSM into keeping this hush-hush till after the eRections.

Has anybody heard anything about the three sheriff's deputies in quarantine at all? Seems more than a bit odd! The Pentagon just created a rapid response team as previously posted....it's not over!

This is the calm before the storm imo. Not over....not by a long shot. In this case however I would love to be proved wrong. I believe there may be a dozen cases that we are not being told about already if the R2 holds up and I don't see why it wouldn't especially with our haphazard way of handling it so far. I also noticed that much of the coverage dried up when the czar took over. My belief is this has been classified as a national security issue and further admissions of active Ebola cases will only be admitted to when they can't be covered up. Again, I would love to be proved wrong, I just don't see how it can be at this point.

Very dangerous as people will not take extraordinary precautions to avoid contact and infection that they would if they knew it was still out there.

I think it's not over and everyone who comes down with it from now on will just be swept away to a Gov. location where they will never be heard from again. They have decided we don't need to know anything so we will go back to spending money and living normal lives.

Someone has really clamped down on the flow of legitimate news. I know one thing. Sanjay Gupta has been looking a little green around the gills with fear since he could have been exposed over in Africa.
I been wondering where are all the good investigative reporters and why aren't any of them tracking the location of some of these people that were supposed to be self quarantined?

The key to this is who they appointed Czar. This guy's job is to squelch any truth to what's really happening. He will make phone calls to the proper people in the press and no new ebola story will surface, ever. Any state or city official that tries to make an end run to expose this will be threatened and silenced. He only needs to keep the lid on this until after the Mid Term elections. Like a pressure cooker with the safety valve closed, it will explode.

Well, I DO have all my stuff now, and I'm sure things are nowhere near over. All the teasers posts about new threads in the BS make me even more glad I'm ready to lock down here, because I'll never get 100 posts in time for those new threads to be of any help to me.

And I agree with another post here that maybe the lack of news is a good thing for a while. I be more apt to stay away from the computer and get some things done around here. Matter of fact, I've been doing just that most of this afternoon.

Re: Duncan's relatives. I have a feeling that he knew was likely to come down with Ebola, after helping those sick people in Africa, and came here because he thought he'd get better care. If I'm correct, perhaps his family took precautions and that's why they haven't been infected.

last week, ebola panic until
. . . appointment of the czar and
. . . call out the military

No substantive action was taken. This military unit will begin form up this week at Ft Sam. Once formed, they will order equipment. Once they get equipment, they will train. Once trained they will deploy. How long will it take to do these things - not going to happen in a day. won't happen in a week. best case is a month.
the czar, he is not even attending meetings yet.

SO, for things to go from level 10 (oh may goodness the house burned down)
to level zero (I'm so sorry, that was embarrassing, did I look silly with my hair on fire)
you must accept that you have been played. Once you do, you must determine whether you were played before Wednesday, after Wednesday, or if they entire thing was a 3 part theatrical production and you are still being played.

I think one of the hints is the goofy, stoned Obama picture released by WhiteHouse dot gov. Seems the president wants you to believe he is stupid. Why would they want you to believe that?

Ebola is no where close to being over, especially with the cases expected in West Africa. We may get past this initial outbreak with a few cases and maybe even no new cases, but I'm not optimistic. I expect more to come given the fact that Obama won't close off the source of the virus. Quarantine of incoming persons from the affected countries, coupled with quick decisive action on any new cases here is the only way to keep Ebola at bay in the U.S. This current administration is neither quick nor decisive, unless you count playing a round of golf at the spur of the moment.

I strongly think each person should watch the film Contagion (2011).
It's a good reminder, and likely a useful tool to educating family members of a topic foreign to them (deadly epidemics, hygiene) that will soon be all too relevant (IMHO).

I think people are focusing on the RO of 2 and missing something. Kris has shown that when one person gets infected with Ebola they, on average, infect another two people.
Duncan got infected when he took the pregnant woman to the hospital in the taxi cab. She also infected her brother which gave us the RO of 2 per Kris.

However, people are missing something very significant, which is the where. Ebola was confined to West Africa, or people who had been in West Africa, prior to Duncan flying to Dallas. Even though the RO was still two, Ebola spread thousands of miles in a matter of several days.

Duncan was confirmed on September 30th, and died on October 8th in Dallas. Duncan also maintained the RO of 2, but again the key thing is the where. Duncan exposed two nurses and they got infected.

The second nurse flew to Cleveland, Ohio, visited a bridal shop, ran around Cleveland with her fiancee and family, and then flew back to Dallas. There are credible reports she was sicker earlier, and was openly showing symptoms during this time period. Again, assuming she also infects with the RO of 2, the key issue is where these two infected people were when they were infected. Ebola may have potentially just leaped from Dallas, Texas to Cleveland, Ohio from this nurse. Assuming she infected anybody on either of the two flights, Ebola may have leaped to another unknown American city.

The reason I am not prepared to say the Ebola virus is under control, based on Dallas, is we have no idea of where the two people the second nurse likely infected are right now. She may have infected anybody at any point in her commercial air flights, visit to the bridal store, or time in Cleveland. Given that, it is insane to think Ebola isn't outside of Dallas right now.

She may not have infected two additional people, although the RO of 2 implies she may have. After all, the pregnant woman had an RO of 2, as well as Duncan had an RO of 2, so it is certainly possible the second nurse did also.

The way to spread the Ebola virus in the USA is more a factor of where people are infected, than "only" the RO of 2.

The fact the second nurse is going to infect two other people is not nearly as important as where she infected them.

Yep, Ebola isn't over yet. Until the 500 or so people who came in contact with the second nurse graduate from the 21 day incubation period, we won't know if the nurse infected anybody else, much less where she infected them, or even more important, whether they infected anybody else.

Definitely not over. Though viruses can't think, each passage through a human can produce a more human adapted "species". Not the correct word since viruses barely meet the definition of alive.

I've been considering that it was a false flag the last few days. Either it's not Ebola and they claimed it was, or it was never here. Who knows what Duncan really died of, his woman lay in the "sweat soaked sheets" he left, not changing them out, and by some miracle, she's Ebola free after she and her children were spirited away to private homes for the duration of her absence from the media. Usually there are photos of people (everyone has a cell with a camera now a days) in varying degrees of trauma for just about any event plastered all over the internet but for some reason, with all the Ebola action, the photos have been almost non-existent. The two Americans who were ushered to the US amidst fanfare and MSM anxiously awaiting their arrival were the first 'biggies' in the news, and suddenly Ebola is everywhere. Why? Now it's nowhere. Why? I'm not sold that it was or was not Ebola, but my question is, why now? What came of it? Never let a good crisis go to waste, which in reality is, use mind control to get what you want:

I think it's possible the old "trauma" then "solution" equation has been used on us again. The trauma opens the mind to actions by others that would never be tolerated at any other time. Well, I saw several members here insist that martial law should be put into place, which quite honestly floored me. I also read that we have a new "czar", because, you know, we're a subsidiary of communist Russia. And now we find that obola has waved his illegal pen and tried to make kicking in the doors of the sick legal-apparently it was a minor detail he left out of hillary's health care package, and it flies in the face of our Constitutional Rights. But hey, it's for the childruuuun.

Just the view from where I sit.

Im thinking your probably correct Flipper, all other news was dropped like a hot rock...all the illegals being let in, Fast and Furious ect... it is a great slight of hand, if that is the case.

Was it stated anywhere that she was as you say "laying on his soaked sheets"? I still think there is another option, as I mentioned in my post above. He could have/should have known that he was going to contract Ebola and he came here for better care, and his family took precautions.

The problem is that it is impossible to judge the genuine risks here when all that we hear from the media is propaganda. IF they are telling the truth (I know, it seems unlikely), then perhaps the worse of this particular outbreak is over. But if they are lying (which unfortunately seems much more likely), then who knows how bad it really is. But the potential for it to be very bad is very real.

The lack of infection in the Dallas contacts is puzzling. As expressed by others on this board, perhaps West Africans have some level of antibodies that provide some protection? It would be interesting to study. Next few weeks will be "interesting".

The most hopeful thing on the horizon for me is that Nigeria has been declared "free of Ebola" after six weeks with no new cases. If they can contain it there, then it can be contained here considering the differences in the hygiene of the general populations of both countries, the differences in the general nutritional status, etc. Of course, that news doesn't address Guinea, Liberia, etc., and whether there may be a second wave occur. Nonetheless, the short story is that Ebola IS containable. As far as the Drudge report that there has been no new Ebola in the US for five days, my response is Piffle! When there have no new cases for five weeks, then I'll breathe easier.

Maybe that's what they wanted all along..."something to study". Without a few cases to use legit testing on, any treatments, vaccines, blood antibodies, NONE of it s worth anything without a few human guinea pigs to treat and follow. Then, it could have gotten away from them which was NOT part of their scheme.

Firsthand Look Inside Decontaminated Ebola Apartment #Dallas
http://www.newslocker.com/en-us/region/dallas/firsthand-look-inside-decontaminated-ebola-apartment/

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - For more than a week, people have seen the outside of apartments belonging to Amber Vinson and Nina Pham, the nurses who tested positive for the Ebola virus.

For health, safety and privacy reasons cameras were kept at a distance from the contaminated apartments. Reporters and the general public were blocked by caution tape and police officers; so, getting a close look of what was happening inside or even near the contaminated apartments was impossible.

But Monday the CBS 11 I-Team got a hold of state documents from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) that gives viewers a never-before seen look inside Amber Vinson’s apartment since being contaminated.

The carpet was completely ripped out of every room. Her bed was taken apart, cabinets were cleaned out and even her fridge was left empty.

But that’s not all. Photos captured by TCEQ also show the scene outside. Cleaning crews were wearing full hazmat suits with air tanks and masks. It looks like for every person with a hazmat suit on there’s a buddy next to him, making sure every piece of equipment is put on perfectly, all the way down to their boots. Windows and doors were completely covered during the process. And that same type of tarping was used on the grass and sidewalks nearby.

Once the crews were done inside they used a special area to scrub down, making sure nothing was left behind.

In all, more than 53 drums of hazardous waste were removed from Amber Vinson’s home. There were a total of 79 drums of waste filled between Nina Pham’s apartment, Amber Vinson’s and the City of Dallas.

Documents investigative reporter Mireya Villarreal obtained show those drums sat in a secret location in Dallas until last Thursday when the feds finally gave a Port Arthur treatment location the go ahead to incinerate everything inside those drums.

There's a video here too:

Saved, to glorify God.
On news just now, there have been FOUR HUNDRED EBOLA ALERTS REPORTED TO CDC.

CDC AGREED TO TEST ONLY FOURTY of them for Ebola.

Of the fourty only three were positive, the two nurses amd ANOTHER UNNAMED PERSON!

Who is the mystery Ebola case??l

ALL THE OTHERS WERE DECLARED "NOT TO HAVE EBOLA without testing."
