I absolutely LOVE Glenn Miller! My favorite 1940's tune is American Patrol!!!! I could listen to it over and over and over.
That, beloved Curmudgeon, is the only reason I now have a cell phone. Family insistence. I venture into rough lands at times into which an old man should not venture.I live alone. If something happened to me medically, I’d want to be able to call for help.
Those can also come from watching the Bengals too much...Summerthyme turned me on to L-Theanine for S.A.D. and I'm so very thankful. Have tried a lot of supplements to battle the soul crushing Ohio winter blues, but that one finally clicked with my system.
Wherever you are summerthyme, this is for you
Glad to know if you were in a pile of manure you'd be sure Dobbin was there to visit.I'm not trying to be snide or make lite of your mood or feelings . . . just trying to help with some top-of-the-mind brain storming. Things for which to be thankful:
Again, just trying to throw some ideas your way. (my family calls me the "Glass is overflowing" optimist - LOL)
- Family (doesn't matter if they're near, far, or even alive)
- Friends
- Food
- Air
- Life
- Sunshine
- Creator/Lord (however your worship)
- Today
- Yesterday
- Your age (if you're old, be thankful for still being here - if you're young, thankful for youth)
- Living at this point in human history
- All you've learned in your life
- Snow (if you're in that climate)
- No Snow (if you're in that climate )
- Books
- Music (which ever genre you enjoy)
- TB2K
- The fact that you are somehow 'online' and can read this list via technology
- You've lived in multiple centuries
- A starry sky at night

I don't have internet right now and use the phone as a wi-fi hot spot and play music when I sleep.People leave their phone on when in bed? Not me. I turn it completely off.
Breeta, I hope you just needed a lazy day... we all do, once in awhile! But, just in case- a reminder that one of the earliest signs of COVID (and often, the only sign) is unusual fatigue. You might want to up your elderberry (or other antivirals) intake for a few days, just in case you've been exposed.I slept all day. I just woke up a few hours ago to eat the thanksgiving meal my DH picked up from one of the local diners. Missed the family zoom call at 2pm (my extended fam’s a bunch of liberals)... i guess i needed sleep. lol. Just feeling funky.
Happy Thanksgiving anyway, everyone!
