The reason the hospital looks like a prison is probably because it is.
Remember those Uygars. Well, they just gonna have to wait because they repurposed their new reeducation center.

Meanwhile, the Bay Area in the #US has recorded 2 new cases, raising the total number of confirmed cases to 11. Patients are a couple. The husband recently traveled to #Wuhan and he transmitted the virus to his wife when he returned from the trip.

Matt, a USA expat in China with his Chinese wife and daughter leave for their evacuation out of China through Hong Kong. They will end up in Detroit, I believe. (EDIT: They are in Chicago self quarantining.)

He said when they arrived at Chicago, they did not have a health screening or their temperatures read. Although a ticker in Chinese and English suggested reporting to a Doctor that they had been in China if they got sick, they did not get a pamphlet or verbal instructions. He said this made him a bit unnerved. He said a pamphlet would have been good as Chinese are used to obeying the rules and would accept and follow them.

That's it! A Pamphlet! Why didn't I think of that!!?!

The 2 coronavirus patients in San Benito are isolating at home, and are not in the hospital. That really shocks me!

"San Benito County, CA –Two cases of 2019-Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) have been confirmed in San Benito County. The confirmed cases are related; husband and wife, and both are 57 years of age. The husband recently traveled from Wuhan, China the wife did not. Therefore, there has been person-to-person transmission. Both patients have not left their home since returning from China. San Benito County Public Health Services provided guidance for home isolation and is closely monitoring their medical condition. Currently, both patients are not hospitalized".

Epidemic: 30 trillion cases, and that’s a low estimate

Now that the vaccine-promoting PR agency called the World Health Organization has declared a coronavirus global emergency, we move into a serious phase of the “case numbers” game.
Hold your hats. There are all sorts of categories and terms that pop up. You’re not supposed to understand them. You’re supposed to let them wash over you and submit to the idea that we’re all potential victims being sucked into a giant vortex—and the only hope of escape depends on the rush-rush-rush deployment of an experimental vaccine.
What are these terms and categories? There are “confirmed cases.” There are “infected people.” There are “carriers of the virus.” There are “mild cases.” “Asymptomatic cases.” “Projected cases.” There is “the probability that many cases have avoided detection.” There is “tested positive for the virus.” There is “computer modeling of case estimates.” “Virus spreaders.” “Exploding too quickly to track accurately.” “Ate an infected bat.” “Ate a snake.” “Extra-terrestrial alien cases”—oops, wrong article.

Interesting factoid. In 2003, there was another coronavirus pandemic called SARS. Then, as now, experts at the World Health Organization (WHO) predicted a dire wildfire of global cases. Then, as now, a state of emergency was declared. WHO issued an advisory, telling people not to fly into Toronto, because that city was “infected.” When all was said and done, the official number of deaths from SARS?

800.
Out of 7 billion people.

But no matter. The pros are still calling SARS, in retrospect, a serious epidemic. A more proper technical term would be: dud.

In prior articles in this series, I’ve detailed how the US Centers for Disease Control lied at an astounding level, about case numbers, in the so-called Swine Flu epidemic (2009). The overwhelming percentage of US blood samples sent to labs, from Swine Flu patients, were coming back with no sign of Swine Flu or any other kind of flu. Sharyl Attkisson, a star investigative reporter working for CBS News at the time, exposed this fraud. Yet, the CDC eventually went on to claim that, at the “height of the Swine Flu epidemic,” there were 22 MILLION cases in the US. I kid you not. These experts are big-league liars. They’re champions. They’re in the Hall of Fame.

If you’re working for a major public health agency, cooking up case numbers and exploiting fear are part of your every-day arsenal. They have to be. Otherwise, you could be caught with your pants down. “Sorry, folks, that world-ending global pandemic we were telling you about last week? It didn’t pan out. Most of the case are mild, on the order of a bad cold, and a lot of cases we pretty much made up. We got carried away. After all, we’re basic salespeople for the vaccine industry…”
Remember West Nile, bird flu, Zika, and way back, the Swine Flu scare of 1976? They were all hyped to the sky. They were all predicted to sweep across the world. They were all connected, by some people, to “engineered viruses in biowar labs, against which we don’t stand a chance.” And they were all duds. The case numbers—when the smoke cleared—were miniscule. That’s called a CLUE.
But you see, there is a thing called The Church of the Virus. It’s quite amazing. People simply hear the word VIRUS and they fall down on their knees. Some of these people were, up to the moment when an epidemic was declared, saying that building up the immune system through basic natural means was a fine defense against germs, BUT—all of a sudden, they’re paralyzed and hypnotized by The Word. VIRUS. Now they’ll go the World Health Organization one better. That Agency is saying there may be 10,000 cases? The paralyzed members of the Church will say, “No, there are a hundred thousand cases. Probably a million by nightfall.”

So my strategy is to get out ahead of the Church. I’m saying: there are 30 trillion cases of the Chinese epidemic, we’re all locked down, we’re all dead already. Okay? End of story. It’s been told. NOW, let’s look around. Are there still people? Are we still here? Are there trees and animals and clouds and sky?
I work from clues and history and pieces of evidence. In prior articles in this epidemic series (archive here), I’ve laid out the best evidence I can find. I’ve raised uncomfortable and unpleasant questions and answered them. I’ve explained likely motives for all the lying and fabricating. I’ve detailed cover-ups. I’ve described who benefits from so-called epidemics.

At a high level, the macro-level, this Chinese “epidemic” is supposed to connect all the people of Earth, and not in a good way. It’s yet one more strategy to execute a stage-magic Collectivist trick. To make us think there are no nations, no sovereign entities of any kind on the planet. No individuals with a right to choose. We’re all the huddled masses, yearning to be vaccinated. We’re marching, when told, according to orders from above. We’re all victims. We all depend on a congealing global super-state. We should all thank God for China. It’s shown us the way. The locking down and quarantining of millions of people is a fine and just and proper thing. It sets an example we may soon have to follow, with good cheer and faith.

As I’ve been saying and writing since 1988, MEDICAL covert operations are, long-term, the most successful on the planet, when it comes to controlling people. Why? Because the medical cartel flies no partisan or political banners. It announces no political agenda. It is neutral. It claims to do nothing but heal. Its offshoot, The Church of the Virus, is sensationally popular. Yet, at the same time, for the public, there is nothing to see in the chapel. Viruses are invisible to the naked eye. It is only the expert priests who can tell us about them. We’re not permitted entrance to the inner sanctum, the holy of holies.

Backed by the press, governments, and thieving mega-corporations, medical priests can show us photos of thousands of starving people, without water, stumbling across a cracked arid plain that resembles the surface of the moon, and they can tell us that these people are being destroyed by a VIRUS, and most of us will believe it.
Backed by the same forces, the medical priests can show us rich and verdant forests and prime farm land—all of which have been stolen from the people living there by those corporations—and most of us, when told, will believe the only problem is the presence of a VIRUS that is killing the natives.
Backed by the same forces, the medical priests can show us ripped up and plowed under farm land that is now being used by one of these corporations—and we can see pools of steaming chemicals flowing out from the new factories and strange bubbling yellow streams adorned with hundreds of dead floating fish—and on the now barren grounds of the corporation, we can see natives stumbling about and falling down—and, when informed by the medical experts, most of us will believe the only problem is a VIRUS.

We can see footage of foul brown foggy air drifting across the mega-city of Wuhan, and people wearing masks, and people moving out of their apartments with their belongings, and desperate protests in the streets against one of the most dangerous and repressive governments on Earth, and citizens checking into hospitals with lung problems from the execrable pollution—and, when told, most of us will believe the only problem is a CORONAVIRUS.

In these times…case numbers? 90-plus percent of everyone is a case number, meaning: CARD CARRYING MEMBER of the befuddled melted cheese glob collectivist entranced entrained audience watching the stage magic sleight of hand show on glowing screens…

I’d love to know how they were diagnosed and confirmed without leaving their home, as the article states. Somehow I doubt that that’s a true statement.

And what about all the people that were on the same plane? I'm sure there were other people in the airport he landed at. Did he take public transportation home? So many questions.

Seeing some chatter that Chinese president Xi hasn't been seen on People's Daily front page and state-TV evening news cast for past 5 days. Wouldn't read much into it for now. Could be on purpose to put others (medics, workers) in spotlight in time of crisis

Considering his coughing, we'll try to pretend everything's fine. If he went and died on us, this shit would certainly get real.

I haven't seen anyone post this, so question:
If the virus is really a bio weapon, and the genetic sequence modified, are the HIV segments used to cause permanent damage to the immune system?
According to one hypothesis, the HIV segments are used to enable the virus to enter lung cells more readily. Will see if I can find the original article stating this hypothesis/theory. (Probably saw it in the pre-pub of the Indian article that reported the HIV segments.)

Many pages back, COelf pointed out the the virus's genetic code includes tick codons, which enable the virus to thin the blood so it can cross the blood-brain barrier and infect the brain. I can see how that could lead to the (encephalitis-related?) seizures/convulsions being reported as symptoms of nCoV infection.

Looks like somebody was workin' HARD to tweak this virus to make it super-infective to lung cells, brain cells, and, based on the diarrhea, maybe cells in the GI tract as well.

Just a note about ibuprophen...I had to take heavy doses of it 10 years ago... discovered it did a terrible number on my kidneys...which only function at a 35% level now. Some folks can take ibuprofen with no problem. some of us can't. Just n FYI.

Thank you for that helpful info. I was afraid to grab Tylenol due to liver consequences, and aspirin because it increases bleeding so I don't quite know what works, if anything.

I have a friend who works for a major US university. They just sent out a message to all faculty, staff, and students insisting that anyone who traveled from mainland China after January 19th fill out the registration form (linked) and self-quarantine. Anyone arriving from mainland China prior to January 19th should only be concerned if they’re exhibiting symptoms, in which case they’re urged to immediately contact the medical office.

However, the message repeatedly states that the risk to the entire campus is low, and that these are just precautionary measure.

Are you sure about that?
Here's a comforting thought: a case load of 11 was where China was back in mid December.

I guess we get to see how good our medical system is.

Aye, we will. FWIW, I think a lot of the spread that we're seeing is from an incredibly dense number of people with a medical system taxed beyond it's ability or competence. I think that will make a big difference here, but I still have some trepidation.

I know what you mean. my dr. just says to take Tylenol for my pain and I said no that I did not wish to kill my liver too. LOL. so now I do not know what to do....maybe change drs. If you have any ideas I would be interested in what you come up with. :)

This same RISK IS LOW is being parroted by the CDC, MSM and all other government entities....

What will happen to these groups if this proves otherwise????

Absolutely nothing....

Whatever meds we take will clearly be a vitally important decision.

Acetaminophen reduces fever, but reducing fever may not be our first best choice. There are some who believe we should let the fever do it's job up to a point. Obviously at high body temps, we take the acetaminophen, but maybe not right away. Thermometers are clearly crucial to monitor temps, and it's not going to feel great if we have to share the same thermometer within the family. Thermometers are also made in China and their window of availability may be quickly closing.

I know we have members here with more medical knowledge about these potential life and death choices. Your input will be greatly appreciated. I find myself a bit unsure.

This article is important because of the very 1st graph. It shows that the rate of increase of the virus has actually reduced. If the rate of infection increase had continued, the graph said there would be over 35000 as of yesterday. As of right now, its 17200. So it's still on the rise, but at least it's fallen off of that log line that it had. These still are the Chinese numbers, but improvement would be nice to see.
Remember, number of cases will be strictly limited to the number of available test kits! So, you won't ever see it increase in any realistic way... you're better off assuming the original chat trajectory is correct.

There is a lot of disinformation out there about this bug. Its important to be realistic about what we know and don't know so we can make reasonable decisions.

1. HIV and Coronovirus. The surface of a coronovirus (any virus, really) has certain proteins that form structures who attach to certain targets on the body's cells. The specific targets are usually specific to different cell/tissue types. In this version of coronovirus, it is believed that the virus attaches to the ACE2 target on the body cells. ACE2 (Angiotensin Converting Enzyme 2) is found in higher proportions in the lining of blood vessels, the lungs, and the kidneys. Its NORMAL function is in the regulation of blood pressure. The virus attaches itself to the ACE2 target and injects in RNA, hijacks the cell, and causes it to make copies of the virus that are then released to infect still more cells. When sequencing the RNA for the virus, it was discovered that there were proteins on the cell that, when modeled on a computer, revealed that there were possible proteins to attach to even more targets on body cells (GP120 for example). These would, in theory, allow it to attach to even more targets/cell types/tissues that would cause additional types of damage as infection progressed. Because these POSSIBLE attachments were similar to those found in HIV it was believed that perhaps the gene coding for those proteins was spliced or engineered into this particular virus. That, however, is unlikely. The structures are only found upon doing protein folding simulations, but are not found as a discrete RNA coding as it is in RNA. It would be akin to finding the word "ship" in a book about product delivery and associating it with Moby Dick. The words are the same, but the context and intent are different.

2. Mortality rates/Infection Rates/R0. The honest truth is that we don't have good enough data to make ACCURATE estimates of these parameters. The numbers are questionable at best and likely heavily altered by political considerations. What we are inferring is that this is much worse based on second hand anectodatal accounts. I'm not saying that they are wrong and it IS prudent to be cautious. Our information MAY become clearer and more relevant as it spread into less controlling government countries.

3. Treatment modalities are being formed. We still don't have all of the information we need. Trial medications using antivirals (likely beneficial), HIV medicaiton (speculative, maybe helpful?), Steroids (useful in the more fulminant phase but NOT early on), fluids, etc are being established. We will likely have better outcomes in the US, but we will face our own problems from shortages of providers, facilities, and medications.

4. Prepare. It is close to the time if you have not prepared to be able to shelter in place for a reasonable time you will be facing a tougher experience.

5. Watch news sources you trust. States are mobilizing right now. The DoD, HHS, Homeland Security, CDC are all MOBILIZING right now. They will be able to execute their plans very quickly and it will shocking when they do so. They will fly under the radar in order to prevent panic. Be prepared for that.

That's a great list, thank you for compiling it. I am in a bit of a different situation. But I suspect enough people here are in it that it bears mentioning and thinking about. I own a coop (think condo). So a lot of the house style maintenance that you mention here I used to do, but no longer. It's often 'call the board, and they'll send someone'. So, any of those who have condo's, what do YOU think you should stock up on? Savvy homeowners, also please feel free to chime in. I AM going to get 3 a/c units now, thanks to your mentoineing it. I do have window units, and they are ancient. I inherited a washer and dryer from previous owner. They are so old that they have woodgrain on them! But being old, they work. Should I be replacing them? Or buying some durable used unit that lasts longer than what is currently available?

One other thing that hopeful no one else here is dealing with. I am in a tiny studio apartment 1,000 miles from home, on a project that I lightly furnished in November. The plumbing, miscrowave, fridge, washer and dryer provieded are all recent. I humbly ask the group mind on this one. I'm here, Lord willing, till July. Given this situation, what if anything would you stock up for here? I'm going to get a battery, wipers and some oil filters for my car today, along with some rice and beans. Looking forward to your creative input.

hardware for whatever construction projects you have in mind for the next year.
car repair parts that you know are needed in the near future for your vehicle.
food : what is the biggest bang for the buck if you have to shelter inplace/ self-quarantine?
oatmeal, seeds, grain, and nuts for sprouting, whole grains (wheat, rice, corn) for grinding for flour for baking (and yeast, oil and sugar for leavening), shelf stable juices, vitamin pills/ herbal supplements, butter to last in the freezer for the next several months, powdered milk and eggs (not normally recommended for heart healthy reasons, but under the circumstances...), canned soups and canned fish, crackers, granola/ cereals. COFFEE...herbal teas.
