Actually, I'm right downtown and there is no more looting. All of the protests are small and don't cause any more trouble than obstructing traffic. The State police are using choppers to collect cell phone numbers of protesters. The city has actively arrested previous looters based on cell phone identification and video verification. Michigan Ave, Wabash, Street and anything east of Michigan has a cop car parked on the street with lights one -- 24/7.

There are other reasons that things are so peaceful here. I've heard that information first hand.
Stands arms crossed, tapping toes. One eye in the BS and the other here...

Tonight, I’m thinking of Breonna Taylor’s family who is still grieving the loss of a daughter and sister. We must never stop speaking Breonna’s name as we work to reform our justice system, including overhauling no-knock warrants.

Damn these people are tone deaf
It was NOT a no knock warrent
The police announced and knocked on door
Neighbors testified to that
Damn

There were scuffles here downtown as well. Someone posted on a local FB page to stay away from the area because it was getting violent. When I first turned on the livestream arrests were happening and it was chaotic. It calmed down early and so then when people started watching they started commenting liar and where's the violence. Well dumb ass had you been here 20 minutes ago you would have seen it. I think they quickly realized Metro won't put up with that BS. We're already hurting from Covid and the recent uptick in violence.

I posted something about #backtheblue and the overwhelming response was positive and agreed. Of course then there were those who disagreed. LOL I was even called a boot licker. That about limits my FB politics. I rarely post on my personal page anything political or controversial.

Media/government/Alphabets/big tech - one and the same serving the Insurrection.

This is a whole lot bigger than any of us probably realize. The street thug army is funded by, protected by, and excused by all of the above. But they are expendable useful idiots to get this Communist revolution to the next stage.

Obamanation's well armed, well equipped, civilian force .....

It's armed insurrection. I have heard more than a few streams tonight where morons were shouting that cops are now legitimate targets to be killed. Now that they have been shot and firebombed, we have gone beyond bottles, bricks and fireworks to actual warfare in the streets.

No going back to what life was like a few months ago.

Just catching up on this thread after being up till 2 am watching the chaos across the nation.

Since these people scream "You can't stop the revolution" can't we just stop bothering to call them "protestors" or "rioters" at this point and just refer to them as what they're telling us they are -- communist revolutionaries?

They say it themselves --- it's an armed revolution taking place in our streets and the longer it takes to be controlled the more it's going to grow worse.

The timing wasn't coincidental. Kicking it all off this close to the election effectively hamstrings federal level response since any overriding of state rights by using federal resources will be decried as "Trump is a tyrant". He's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't... unless the justice dept. deputizes state police like they did in Portland and they begin cracking down hard & bringing federal charges in huge numbers.

Any other ideas??

I agree with you - but I think they overplayed their hand. I think many "white suburban" folks who might have voted Biden are realizing that without law and order, nothing else is important. They have seen what's happened to their cities, the places they shop, and the restaurants where they go out - none of them are safe anymore. Unless they are really stupid (and I admit that many of them are) they are going to realize the problem is the left.

Larynzo Johnson is the suspect accused of shooting two police officers in Louisville, Kentucky, as protests over the shooting death of Breonna Taylor turned violent on the evening of September 23.

Police released the suspect’s name. Jail records show that he is 26 years old. On social media, Johnson, who goes by the nickname Spankey, posted about police and videogames. His most recent visible post is about trying to find a liquor store. He occasionally posted about Breonna Taylor.

According to WLKY, he is accused of “14 counts of wanton endangerment on police officer and two counts of assault on police officer.”

The Courier Journal reported that Johnson’s arrest citation accuses him of having shown “an extreme indifference to the value of human life.”

Here’s what you need to know:
The Officers Were Shot After Responding to a Report of a Large Crowd Where Gunfire Had Already Erupted

In a press conference, Louisville Police Chief Robert Schroeder said that the officers had responded to a report of a large crowd where shots were fired at about 8:30 p.m. on September 23.

When they got there, shots again rang out, and “two of our officers were shot,” the chief said. One officer is alert and stable; the second officer was undergoing surgery and is stable, the chief said. One suspect is in custody, the chief revealed the night of the shooting.

“Obviously we have two officers shot tonight,” the chief added. “The safety of our officers and the community we serve is of utmost importance.” The chief said the officers suffered non-life-threatening wounds.

The officers were shot near Brook and Broadway in downtown Louisville. They have been named as Aubrey Gregory and Robinson Desroches.

The Courier Journal reported that Johnson was in the crowd of protesters, which had set fires and wouldn’t disperse despite warnings. He is accused of having “intentionally used a handgun to fire multiple bullets at officers. Two officers with LMPD were struck by the bullets causing serious physical injury,” the newspaper reported, adding that he had the gun when detained and witnesses identified him as the gunman when he fled. The newspaper added that police say he was captured on video while shooting and has no prior criminal history for violent offenses.

A lot of Johnson’s Facebook page just contains bantering with friends and comments about liquor stores and Call of Duty. He did post several posts about police.

In June, he held a Facebook watch party for a video about Breonna Taylor’s birthday. He also shared the below video titled, “Skate Outta Quarantine: Louisville, KY ~ For Breonna Taylor.”

His profile picture shows a man wearing a skull mask. He recently shared a news story headlined, “Tulsa Police Video Shows White Driver Resist Cops, Shoot Them Both, Kill 1 And Live To Tell About It.”

He shared a video with a caption by someone else that read, “A white #FtLauderdale cop tries to get violent with peaceful protestors and this black woman/police officer wasn’t having it. ”

More here, including Foxnews video and pictures of the cops:

Exactly. Defending and abolishing the police - designed so they can put THEIR OWN THUGS into running enforcement. Hell, Seattle hired a pimp to run "community policing' after defunding the cops there.

Obama's 'civilian security force' will end up nothing less than the NKVD or the Gestapo.

That is the plan, replace local LEOs who are loyal to the local populace with a national gestapo beholden only to mordor on the potomac. They need 'reliable' bodies to storm houses to confiscate firearms.

I agree with you - but I think they overplayed their hand.

As I've said before, their plan was to do all this about ten years down the road, when more of their cadre had professional training. But WuFlu and Trump set up a vulnerability that they decided to go after. So they aren't really ready, but the initial successes have them smelling victory. It remains to be seen.

Insurrectionists works. Domestic enemy combatants works. Yes. Let us no longer reference them as "protestors". They are not. They are armed insurrectionists in an army of street soldiers engaged in sedition against the Constitution and the People.

They say it themselves --- it's an armed revolution taking place in our streets and the longer it takes to be controlled the more it's going to grow worse.

It's too late now. The time to deal with this decisively was back in June. Now it is going to cost buckets of blood to try and stop because these mobs and these actions have been politically justified and protected by those in government.

As such, I have doubts that there is going to be any real attempt to reign these mobs in, until after the Communists achieve total power - and then, since they are just useful idiots - they will be eradicated if not reassigned to positions of authority.

Any other ideas??

When they come, shoot to kill. Consequences will not matter anyway - they have told us that they want us all dead.

No. It was him. He is on video and you can see the muzzle flashes as he shoots. He was firing at the cops from within the crowd moving left towards the I-65 underpass.

Great point, pick out the most radical half a dozen or so and hang them for Treason on live television, most of them will then think twice, being a communist revolutionary is a risky business, renounce the revolution or pay the toll.

If you can't handle the rules, don't even THINK of coming off the porch to run with the BIG dogs, pissant!

That's why "Big Boy Rules" are SOMETIMES referred to as "Catch me flirk me" rules.
