Iranian behavior since 1979 has been leading to this and arguably strikes well above this "target of opportunity" strike by Israel have been warranted but not conducted. That's probably about to change. After 10/7/23, the Israeli responses on the escalation curve have been and are going to be logarithmic.

As if Iran didn't declare war on Israel a long time ago...LOL. It will be interesting to see what Iran actually does and how Israel responds....hope this isn't the start of something that goes sideways. Sure has the potential to do so...

Israel needs to make strategic decisions about Gaza war within 7-10 days, says defense analyst Ron Ben-Yishai via @ynetalerts; Israeli leadership faces 4 strategic issues, as follow:

1. potential hostage deal with Hamas plus Gaza ceasefire 2. possible diplomatic deal to avert Lebanon war, or larger military conflict 3. Assault on Rafah to demolish remaining Hamas battalions 4. post-war arrangement in Gaza, based on US plan

Israel can’t achieve all these aims in parallel, must prioritize, Ben-Yishai says. The ideal scenario for Israel: Hostage deal, 6-week Gaza ceasefire, advance Lebanon deal during truce, advance post-war Gaza deal, Rafah op to end war comes last, if no other choice

But if Hamas rejects hostage deal, order of priorities changes: Rafah assault comes first, possibly followed by hostage deal; then IDF will decide whether to launch large op vs. Hezbollah; post-war Gaza deal will come last under this scenario.

Strange and suspicious military movements are happening inside Iran.

It's possible that rockets could be launched in retaliation for the killing of leaders from the Quds Force militias and the IRGC militias in Damascus yesterday by Israeli aircraft.

I fear they may repeat their strikes on civilian sites in Kurdistan , and after that, they will likely resort to dirty propaganda, as they always do, claiming that the targeted sites belong to Mossad.

Any direct missile strike by Iran against Israel will definitely bring the war to Iran's own soil almost immediately. And I don't think the mullahs want to do anything that puts their domestic position at risk. They also know that in such a case most Iranians will surely rise up against the regime. The mullahs want their proxies in other nations to fight their battles away from the Iranian soil.

Israel has already figured out to jam and avoid the S 300 and S 400 missile systems that Russia has deployed around Syria. If the Russians try to shoot down an Israeli jet and their S 300 and S 400 systems fail it will show the world how truly bad the Russian weapons really are.
