I checked this morning, and there will be a place to enter your banking info if you filed but owe, so they wouldnt have your direct deposit info. However, it is not working yet, it says "mid-April" it will be available to use to load your bank info.
I owe for the last few years, and am on a payment plan where they take money out of my bank each month, so they do have my information, but i doubt it will recognize it if trying to make a deposit. Who knows???
No they most likely will mail a check at some pointI can't find ANYTHING about people like us who have owed taxes the last few years,,, our deposit information will not be linked to our return. Yet, it says not to submit direct deposit information unless you didn't file at all.
Do you think they saved the online payment information for when I made our payments?
This is the correct attitudeThis is seemingly more confusing every day, at least to me. And personally, too much extra trying to keep track.
It is, what it is.
If a check “magically” appears in my account then that’s great.

We are on a fixed retirement income so nothing has changed income-wise for us during the pandemic, we don't really need it either. We plan to use it to pay property taxes which are due in May.Just checked mine and nothing. I owed the last 2 years, but I also receive Soc. Sec. I will check later today, don't need the money but it will come in handy to get a few things I've had my eye on.
