Just checked Texas Precious Metals and Provident Metals. Silver rounds are just about gone. ASEs are gone....

Checked ebay and they have a lot of silver eagles. Just the price is scary

What I really appreciate about eBay is how easy it is to see historical prices on items where it says something like xx Available/xx Sold. If you click on the red "xx Sold," it shows all of the orders. Here's an example on a roll of ASE's. It goes back 100 sales, but I didn't want to spam this thread with all of them. To see the last 100 check here - it's quite insightful:

Affirmative. Pretty wild. I bought a couple rolls back in April around $470 and I thought I was late to the party.

Demand is high and the real price will continue to rise.
We might look back at this day and dream about buying a roll at $650. I'm not sure there is going to be a top end to the price.

I don't know if this is it, but it's always so interesting to watch.

It certainly seems like the time is ripe. I still ponder if President Trump is outspending the FedRes intentionally. I wonder if we'll write down our debt or purchase it back at pennies on the dollar.

I agree. I've got a healthy enough little stash that I'm going to just sit tight with what I have, unless some killer deal comes along the pipeline. I'd be averaging up at this point, and I don't think it's necessary. Since I didn't have access to more than 100 prior sales on the ASE rolls, this isn't a very large data set, but it's interesting. I graphed out the price of an ASE versus the spot price over the last two weeks. It's interesting to watch the premium rise as supply and demand take over.spot.png

FIAT ALWAYS FAILS. Precious metals are a hedge against the Federal Reserve which is creating Trillions of new debt with digital entries. There are also issues with corruption with comex.

An ounce of gold is an ounce of gold, same for silver. People as they see the explosive price rises from here on out believe the metals are appreciating in value. For the most part they are not. What we are beginning to witnesses at this point is the beginning of the final collapse of the dollar specifically and fiat currencies in general.

This could and possibly will accelerate much quicker than many are ready for. Get ready now for huge price spikes in everything we need and flat to declining prices in stuff that is abundant and we don’t need.

CNBS is forced this morning to acknowledge the canary in the coal mine with a new record gold high and silver tagging along. A few of them are scratching their heads but one of the host’s was saying that there is record money printing going on with much more debasement to come. The masses are starting to wake up and people are soon to rediscover what most of us have known all along, what real money is and what real money isn’t.

The time is soon coming where daily multi-dollar gains in silver prices will be the norm. I've been waiting for this since I started stacking in 2000.

I've been wondering when we would start to see signs that TPTB were fully positioned on the long side and were ready to move the price up.

Hmmm, maybe people will sell and take advantage of the rising prices....then more will be available for purchase. Even a handful would be nice :-)

Could be wishful thinking, though.

While people can bloviate about fiat currency is not real money, it still buys stuff. The only question concerning the dollar is how much can it buy.

I appreciate QM putting up these "spot" prices (?) of gold and silver, I read an article this AM (I know doom porn) at zerohedge that the dollar was at a 19 month low.

Seems like last I saw the dollar against the Euro was 1.08 and something around 1.24 against the pound. Today it's 1.17 against the Euro and 1.28 against the pound.

So was wondering if QM could spot the dollar also? I have to turn on Bloomberg and wait FOREVER for the quote to come up. Just a thought, so we can keep up with what/how much the dollar will buy. Because printing trillions will come home to roost. Credit is already tightening. Ya know a loaf of bread for a days wages is on the horizon.

As of this writing gold is 1942.00

Would have been better to buy a handful before 1999 .... :D
That was about the only smart financial decision I've ever made! It would have been wonderful to be able to afford more than a handful, but I'm grateful for what I was able to get...

Silver $24.42 and Gold is sitting at a new high of $1936.40. I think we will see $25 silver very soon and gold will punch right through the $2000 ceiling shortly. I think gold made a run to around $1975 when it kicked back. More likely to profit taking since all numbers are based on paper trades. You ain't holding it you ain't owning it.

I would think gold and silver spot will still have some down days but I don't think physical will have any down days.
We are all on a wild ride and no one knows the destination or time of arrival.

I found a 14k gold bangle bracelet, about an inch 1/2 wide?... at a old antique junk shop years ago. It’s beautiful, brushed solid gold. Had it checked at the jewelry store.

I’m thinking I should sell it so d I never wear it, or trade in for something I WOULD wear !

Hmmm, sell it and maybe buy silver rounds with the proceeds....or something that is lacking/low in your preps?

Might get a brief pullback in PM's whenever the equity markets next take a hit.
Seems many then often cash in some PM positions to offset losses elsewhere.
If you are ready on the trigger, you might get some more PM's at a discount then.

You'll need to be quick about though, I'd bet. Any dip likely won't last long.

And we saw just this scenario when the covid started the tank in the market.

Just for grins, with gas prices so low and silver up . . .
it would be fun to fill up the car with a dollar

When I first started buying gas it was 35 cents gallon
and back then often used silver quarters and dimes.
One of each now worth $4.40 and $1.76 respectively.

Gas hasn't gone up in value so much, that it costs more
today than back then, as has the value of our paper $'s
eroded and gone down, plus taxes. Cigs back then were
also 35 cents and case of 24 beers $4.05 incl tax. None
of them are better versions today that they should cost so
much more now than back then. It's mostly all about the $
that's lost buying power via inflation/theft of our currency.

People don't understand prices rising often says more about
their dollars value dropping. Someday, they'll get a clue, and
all of a sudden everybody will be wanting to quickly spend all
they've got, like hot potatoes, before they buy even less goods
tomorrow. Then you'll see real hyperinflation start to kick in...

On TB every waking moment
Growing up I pumped a lot of gas at my dad's store for $.30/gallon. And sold a lot of bread for $.30/loaf too.
