Great news and thanks for keeping us posted!
It is a rough surgery but the reward is well worth it. My mother even looked different. I didn't realize how much fluid she had around her face and neck until it went away. Her leg, where the blood vessel came from, bothered her more than anything else after she came home. In a couple of weeks, after he has recovered from this very brutal surgery, you will start to see the difference.
Think about it this way, he just received the gift of tons more time with the people he loves...maybe twenty or thirty years or even more as young as he is.

The one and only...
Having gone through a bypass surgery, I know that weird feeling of numb shock your body is still in. I can tell you at least this. If you have any discomfort from the tubes that are in your chest, especially if they're irritating your lungs, when they remove them a day or two from now, it feels amazing!

After Action Report.
Sitrep. After spending a week in captivity, Imrik Actual has been released. The confines of said concentration camp defies all Geneva convention accords.
1. That’s not food. : according to the Geneva covention, prisoners are required to have basic food allowances. Ok so my 8 year old can make better scrambled eggs than that. And to call that slop food is a disgrace to slop houses everywhere.
2 Humiliation. Psychological torture was committed when male nurse shoved suppository up Imrik Actuals bunghole
3. Further attempts to coerce the subject involved sponge baths and undressing by female nurses.
…. Actually the Food really was that bad Prolly worse than current mess halls.
But this facetious diatribe is my way of saying

Great news!
I'm glad to hear you're home, Imrik! Be careful though. My DH was released on a Sunday afternoon after his triple. (2004). Got up to use the bathroom that evening and almost made it back to the bed before passing out! Called EMS and they took him right back to the hospital (for observation). Luckily no damage and he came back home next day.

I have my doubts at each of my annual visits. Owner obviously won't be telling me what he has planned.
I've read the conversion is "relaxing." Better attention and less stress.
I should keep that in mind.

Yay you...you did it! It's all downhill from here and it sounds like Brittany got you out of there just in time lol.
Just take it slow and easy. You may have a tiny bit of depression somewhere along the way to recovery but keep in mind it is normal and to be expected. You and your body have been through a lot, mentally and physically.
Lastly, go enjoy all those extra years you just acquired!

So so happy to see you with that phase of your healing behind you, and expecting the rest of the phases to bring exponentially better news!

take it slow! As soon as you can start walking and stretching! Been through this with Ron (calfisher) 4 way bypass, and then years later the car crushing ! I helped with and watched his comeback!
