Well after a year of delays, looks like my heart surgery will finally go ahead in the morning. Quintuple bypass. So…. A prayer or two would be appreciated. I’ll see you guys either sooner…. Or later.

In your 40's is a good thing. You will bounce back quickly if you keep a positive mind. I worked in open heart ICU for a few years before going to the ER. Young folks who remained positive and did what is expected were up and running fast. Both of my brothers were my post open heart patients, both in their 40's. They did great and still are today. You can do it.

Praying for you, Imrik! A guy that I know had his bypass surgery in his 40's. He is in his early 70's now and going strong. You can do this!

Friend of our DD had a widow maker at age 40. Thankfully, he pulled through just fine. Coworker of DH many years ago had a heart attack in his late 30s....seemed to run in the family, his brother had one a few years prior and he recognized the symptoms and got emergency care pronto. Age doesn't seem to matter as much anymore, and the surgery is becoming almost commonplace.
