I’m going to toss in here again... for the umteenth time, the Concept-Theory-Design-and ACTUAL IMPLEMENTATION of Personal Protective Equipment. And PLEASE, keep in mind [exactly] what the term [PERSONAL] means.
PPE’s or better EMPHASIZED (P)-PERSONAL-PE’s are by DESIGN engineered to protect THE WEARER of the device. They were in NO-WAY designed for some quasi-social contract of obligation to prevent exhaling or violently sneezing mist upon the unwashed knowledge base of the people within their or your area or perimeter.
I don’t know many people that can carry on even loud conversations, and send spittle into a six foot radius zone. If that is a concern a PPE pair of goggles or face shield should be worn 24/7. Ask ANYONE who has done an eight hour shift with splashing liquid acids or caustics; and don’t forget the gloves and bib.
Now that we walked this far out on the slippery plank of objective; lets consider how THE ORIGINATOR’S of THE VIRUS OF COMPLIANCE suit up when they are make-believe PLAYING GOD, or JUDGE OF MAN.
Those LEVEL FOUR LAB’S dress like they are going to a moOn off of Jupiter’s dark scary side, all dolled up in a SCBA SPACE SUIT. Then they tell you IT’S NOT H2H TRANSMISSION.
THEN THEY TELL YOU FACE-MASK DONT MATTER.
THEN THEY TELL YOU ARMAGEDDON.
Then its less than a random flu season...
BUT IT’S GOOD AT CULLING PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS...

I absolutely refuse to wear a mask. I have not and will not "obey". If you're sick, stay home. Anyway, Dem KY governor made masks mandatory for anyone above the age of 5 going out in public effective tomorrow at 5. I'm back to shopping online only now.
I believe those legs are somehow defective; this thread only travels in a circle.

I keep a blue earloop procedure mask (AKA Karen mask) over the visor in every vehicle, so I can wear it (when I remember to do it, getting CRS pretty bad) if needed. Worn over a full beard, so guess how well it really works. NO ONE ever mentions the beard.
Had to take DW to the eyedoc this AM because she was getting drops and wanted me to drive her home. At the door a dear local 20something (we kindasorta know her mom) was reminding about masks, taking temps and getting all and sundry to wash hands in the lobby bathroom.
So I complied. OF COURSE I complied. I married a mountain girl and I still like most of the others I didn't marry

.This all started in the 70's when they said "You must wear a seat belt to drive. If caught not wearing a seat belt you will be fined." In the 80's it became, "You must have car insurance or you can't drive." in the 2010's it was, "You must have healthcare or we will fine you at tax time." These were Federal mandates and everyone decided the Federal government can do that. In 2020 the Stares and even local government wish to establish their control over you. Next, your local City Council will demand "You must wear green shoes because the town 20 miles away wears blue shoes. If not you will be arrested." And everyone will put on green shoes and make fun of those fools wearing blue shoes.

Your wrong but then again I try to avoid issuing blanket statements about other people that I know nothing about and don’t live in their heads.
My skillset and training from my NBC schooling guides my actions with a biological agent. Nothing more and nothing less. I know how to do contamination avoidance and mitigation. I was selectively wearing PPE in public places when the CDC was saying it wasn’t necessary and I continued to do it after it was mandated. I will stop when I determine that that the threat level has fallen to where the risk/reward ratio supports my decision regardless of what anyone else wants.
You do as you wish. If you choose to feel morally superior because you don’t want to then more power to you. The beating of the dead horse comes because the vast majority has made up their mind and won’t be moved from it. Just like with 911 no matter what you do or say everyone has made up their minds and won’t be moved.

No Worries.I apologize for my first response. It was unnecessarily testy, and no disrespect was due to your grandfather. My mother used to lecture us that we had no right to an opinion on elected officials unless we lived in their jurisdiction and voted in their election. Guess I got triggered here. I eventually told her that one could express an opinion on the US only if one served in the military, and that left me as the only family member with a right to speak.

In regards to 9-11. I can’t speak to minds being made up, even as mine was witnessing pre-posturing between 5’0’clock shadows, and shadow warriors two full weeks (((after a feeling))) of attack on CONUS as I mentioned in front of 2-Witnesses's.
My statement “This Country is About to be Attacked” that was a full 2-weeks prior to that fateful day or running into shadows.
My mind was not made up until I understood the purpose of OP-ABLEDANGER, and then again, FULLY after reading a thread here at TB2K within the last three years about Marina Del Rey CA as being on a potential terror target list during the 9-11 planning phase. That discovery only further substantiated what I witnessed in my A/O in the late August 01 timeframe.
My experience isn’t going to change anyones else’s mind on the web. Still, I cannot deny the facts of those three weeks.
Don’t want to side track there. Not my best work either. I did better more (((technical))) work TWICE after 01. No Soap-Box 3rd better because whats the point...

If you want to get even close to understanding, as a veteran, go back to your POW psychological training; because that is what is happening to John-Q-Cherry Public, and they sure as $#!+ are not up for it. <—- AND THAT is where we lose.
Just keep an eye out right about now for people who are giving up.
I only mention it because... I’m (((sensing it))) really strong in people when I’m out.

YES! I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed and has problems with this arrangement to the point that I just grab one of the small carts and go directly to the items I need, disregarding the arrows entirely!
I try to shop at off hours and not meet anyone's eyes. I notice that most men ignore the arrows.

Now I still go about everyday refusing to wear a mask. At work at a local Dollar Tree store, I refuse to wear a mask, even though Dollar Tree mandates their employees to wear one. Not once have I been reprimanded by a upper manager for not wearing one. At work most customers seem to like running into a rebel like me and I hardly hardly ever met anyone disgusted with me for not wearing one. I have even been applauded by some for being a rebel. When outside never wear a mask!!!!!! There is only several stores which I have to wear one ... do my thing as quickly as possible then get out. In refusing to wear a mask I have only been confronted like two or three times period since this whole freaking thing started. I commonly hear so many people say how they hate those dang things including a doctor friend of mine. I think most people don't want to wear them. Now be a rebel like me and go without and you might be surprised by all the support you will get. Also since I wear glasses, I never cover my nose for the mask with covering my nose makes my glasses fog up. Never Never once have been reprimanded by this also. BE A REBEL!!!!! And I love here in Wyoming where I guess I can get away with this. I have a friend who lives in Flagstaff, Az. And He is a Rebel like me. He also has no hassles for refusing to wear a mask. Wishing Everyone the Best!

Short answer, it’s for ‘folks’ who don’t want to hear it, and I’m not including you in that ‘group’ of folks. The most popular face mask being utilized, the light blue loose fitting B-Cup size mouth bra is not going to protect those wearing it against the virus that is actually aerosolized, or attached to particles on surfaces, and surely a threat to those who do not wear goggles.
People wearing mouth bra’s are given a false sense of reality, in which Personal Protective Security is worn like a badge of courage misplaced between coughing into your elbow, and 6-feet your good.
At best, the flimsy pleated light blue mouth hoods are a saliva projectile inhibitor. That does not qualify as a PPE device.
A ‘respirator’ PPE is designed to protect yhe respirator system of the Person wearing it as they inhale and draw in their breath of filtered air through the tight fitting mask and filters. A loose fitting face mask can not possible accomplish this. No way possible.
It seems, the concept of personal is being lost in the do-something-fear-fest.
I take the virus seriously. Countermeasures from the lodgepole from 1918 CA/NV border area. I wear N-100 mask and nesting googles, because I’m looking for effective prophylactic protection. EPP if you will, not compliant window dressing. All this dovetails with my neXt point for our board eXperts.
Here, don your light blue mouth shield. Now hold my beer and watch...
Potential Scenario to follow:
Hundreds succumb at **** ***** *ir*or*’* where a virulent strain of...
How many true-blue mask believers might have to fall before we think of PPE from a super-critical viewpoint?
The loose fitting pleated blue mask is mostly placebo for effect. So is anything else without at least a N-95 rating and a snug face forming fit.
So, in light of current public trends in use with todays exhibited protocols, the only effective action of loose mask donning, is the fomenting of bad habits with the virus of compliance, from both fearful believers and Karen’s and Kenny’s.

72 day’s until The 42 Daze of hard sellupon US.
LOAD [FAIL] program 2.1-11032020.

This whole situation is really no surprise to me. After 22 in navy medicine on the front lines overseas, with Marines, SpecOps, and a Gator Freighter cruising the I/O, hitting Africa (Mombasa) several times as well as the Persian Gulf. Actually been in the wet markets in China (absolutely filthy), Korea, Singapore (very CLEAN!!), Philippines, Thailand, Japan and Okinawa. Operated in jungles of Thailand with the Royal Thai Marines, Korea with the Korean Rock Marines. I've gained a little insight to the environmental and disease issues of those areas. Bottom line....NASTY!!
So when the Plague, Hong Kong Flu, Swine Flu, SARS, etc., and now COVID-19 came out of that region it was no surprise to me. When I first heard about the WuFLu....no surprise. Disease was always the NUMBER ONE issue when taking medical care of troops in the field, especially overseas. If you haven't been there then you don't have a clue.
COVID-19 is without a doubt a man-made or enhanced BIO-WEAPON. The way it operates is as a man-made or enhanced BIO-WEAPON. So what if you kill off a few thousand or tens of thousands of your own OVER POPULATED citizens. Hell China could lose a MILLION citizens and it's no big deal because It's the end game that counts.
Just look back down through history. All the plagues, pandemics, outbreaks and just general infectious diseases and so on have killed more humans since the dawn of time on this planet than all the rocks, clubs, swords, spears, arrows, bullets, shells, bombs etc., through out human history. DISEASE is the MASTER KILLER.
So wear or do not wear a mask. Protect yourself or don't protect yourself. Me, I don't want even an honorable mention at the Darwin awards, and I've learned to have a healthy respect for little tiny things I can't see because I've seen what they can do to the strongest bravest of troops. Nasty way to die.
