ADMIN CHANGES TO BOARD POLICY ON THE "N-WORD" AND OTHER ISSUES

I have no intention of tightening the auto-censor further. "Negro" is a perfectly acceptable word in polite society. (I personally like "knee-grow", as it perfectly describes my derision toward the "ghetto-rats", while still being allowable.) If snowflakes and SJWs don't like it, they can lick the sweat off my balls. There are exactly 5 words that are auto-sensored. They are the patently offensive ones.

As I have said at least 20 times in recent days, the goal is NOT to create a "snowflake safe space", but to allow people to refer people to this site again. As I said in the Lounge just this morning, the "n-word" was basically never used here before 0bunghhole came to power and set race relations back 100 years. Now that he's out, the "need" to use it should be far less desirable or necessary.

Unless it's an absolute emergency, the membership will always be invited to join a discussion of potential forum policy changes. NOT doing so is issuing "edicts from above", which I find disrespectful and arrogant. I've made sure that such discussions have been held from the very first days of this incarnation of TB.

Actually, there’s not that much gay bashing here. There are a few super-religious folks that do it, but they feel “called”. What most people here abhor is the “militant gay agenda” rather than gays themselves (except for the aforementioned few.) I don’t really see a problem with it.

ETA: “cis-gender” is a made-up term used to describe “Normals”; that is, heterosexuals.

I'm not. I do not think the members should have had a voice. Opinions yes, We are no longer a republic we have become a democracy where freedom of speech is no longer valid. I do not like the way the word is used to frequently to describe a certain race. But the race clearly defined the change itself by frequently calling each other day in, day out the name not realizing that it means which is a stupid and ignorant person which describes many people in this world.

As far as the catholic bashing for me it goes beyond religion for me. I do not belong to a religion anymore, you believe what you want too. But I gotta say this. The pope the alleged vicar of christ, the man "representative of Christ" on earth, for these millions of followers, who has allegedly molested kids himself and leads millions of people world wide and caused such a stir even among his people with his decisions and the hiding of hundreds of priest from prosecution for the molesting of children and nun's. And yet every day they come on here and say "NOT MY POPE", but yet continue to be apart of the same organisation that has allowed it for years and years and years. They are set in their minds, and their ways and there is no talking to them. If we cannot talk to them, then we might as well just shut down all forms of communication about religion, shut the Rel sig down demand no more prayer except through PM. Do you see where this could lead? OMG I am offended because they talk about my POPE who I do not agree with and it makes my religion look like devils. HOLY COW! Are the Baptist Mormons JW Pentecostals to be offended next?

Medic, a big reason I have such discussions is because 1) the members PAY to be here and thus deserve a voice, and 2) it's arrogant and presumptuous to NOT let people have a voice.

As to Catholics, Cardinal said something on our Lounge discussion thread that I'm going to post here, since it's not specifically "private". It bears directly on what you said (forgive me Card, not trying to offend):

What this addresses is the many now required background checks for job seekers. It is also proactive for likely future changes and challenges that younger, newer members will face. I don’t care what the “law” is for what you are allowed to use and what you aren’t for background checks, everyone ignores it and does it anyway to weed out applicants. And not just for jobs. Mortgages, leases, etc check as well. Time to enter reality land. This is a public forum, not your momma’s basement.

And there's the rub. If we'd been told ten years ago about just a tenth of the current crap actually happening, we'd have called mental heath authorities on the person posting them. It's nearly impossible to judge what's real anymore. For example, most of the "banned" websites were only banned because they're KNOWN HOAX SITES. At first, many people including myself believed every word from them. But what's a hoax now could well be real in a year. Who the hell knows? One has to muddle through as best they can.
