*Breaking* Obama SuperDs Switching to Hillary!

Alegre at Alegre’s Corner breaks the story:

…There are unconfirmed reports based on phone banking efforts to reach out to Super D’s that 8 previously Obama SD’s, expressed that, given the opportunity, they would vote for Hillary at the convention.

Did you get that?

Superdelegates who have “declared” for Obama are now saying that they would vote for Hillary at the convention.

How many more disillusioned SuperDs are out there?

No wonder Obama wants to break with tradition and keep Hillary off the convention ballot, even though she won more popular votes than he did, and neither of them earned enough pledged delegates to secure the nomination.

Alegre explains how the story broke…

I heard about an interview Will Bower of PUMA did recently, where he said delegates are starting to say theyll vote for Hillary in Denver if the DNC does the right thing and run an open and fair convention. That means a roll call vote with Hillarys name put into nomination and on the ballot.

So I shot an email to Bower to ask him where he got that info from, and here’s what he sent me regarding the efforts of a friend of his:

“A large phone banking effort to the super d’s combined with Obama’s flips and poor presumptive nominee performance, etc have yielded doubts within the super delegates, enough that 3 elected and 5 DNC members have confided that should they have the opportunity to do so, they will vote for Hillary.”

Maybe this is why BHO and the Toxic Trio are pushing so hard to keep Hillary off the roll call ballot eh? Ive been wondering what theyre so afraid of now it looks like we have part of the answer.

…And points to a Tuesday story in Politico entitled Hill Democrats Miffed at Obama…

I think Politico may have stumbled upon one or two reasons why the Supers are starting to take a fresh look at Hillary….The folks on the Hill (aka Super delegates) are getting pissed at BHO for the lack of effort on his part when it comes to fundraising, coordination and support they’re getting in their own bid for re-election etc. Todays Politico has the story:

After a brief bout of Obamamania, some Capitol Hill Democrats have begun to complain privately that Barack Obamas presidential campaign is insular, uncooperative and inattentive to their hopes for a broad Democratic victory in November.

They think they know whats right and everyone else is wrong on everything, groused one senior Senate Democratic aide. They are kind of insufferable at this point.

Read the rest of Alegre’s story here. She wraps it up with this zinger:

Yeah - I can see why those Supers are starting to take a fresh look at Hillary, and are swinging back her way. No way would Hillary ignore down-ticket dems or toss them to the curb the way BHO has.

H E L L O SUPERS?! Anyone out there??!?!?!

Has there ever been a time in history when a Democratic candidate was KEPT OFF the ballot?

Sorry, Barack, you are not appointed by God. This is a time-tested democractic process.

It’s alarming that there now has to be a movement to keep Clinton ON the ballot.

There must be a roll-call vote with Clinton’s name on the ballot.

I envision an uprising at Denver if she’s not.

The end times are here.
Things just keep getting interestinger and interestinger.

Watch for crazy, unexpected things to happen in both the Democrat and Republican efforts.

Things are not as they seem.

As I have said in other posts, it's not over till it's over.

Both Hillary and Bill Clinton have been very quiet and also out of the picture, maybe this is just the tip of the iceberg as to how many super delegates will change their tune?? Maybe the actualy count of speculation as to who the super delegates would support was just a rumor??

As time goes by, more and more will be known about Obama and his philosophies, people will retreat from his camps and defect to the other side post haste.

Last I saw of the candidates numbers, neither won the nomination, the super delegates will cast the deciding vote at the convention. Both should be on the ballot as that's the way it has ended so far, anything else would be an out-n-out sham and manipulation, the dems would have every right to cry foul. Most dems I know would/will RUN to the McCain side at the point in time where the convention seemed totally rigged for Obama.

HOW many times did I say she wasn't actually OUT?? DONE??
But NOOooo, everyone hadda say she had quit (not EXACTLY LOL) or that she had pulled out (again not TECHNICALLY), had given up...NOT. She has spent the last several weeks getting HEALTHY, NOT wearing herself down to a frazzle, and MOST IMPORTANLY OF ALL NOT FECKING UP. BHO on the other hand has made a LOT of youngster mistakes. This will be a good learning year for him. He's NEEDED a "seasoning" year.
Regardless of who wins, this is going to be a one term presidency, given the economy and everything else.

IF he is TRULY eligible, then he SHOULD, when the smoke clears and she wins the nomination, take his lumps, go lick his wounds and do a LOT of studying on how it SHOULD have been done and come back in 4 years incredibly strong. He needs to follow the JFK model.

Yepper, Denver is gonna be a HOOT.

It is so Klintonesque that she and her team are planning an ambush of sorts.

I've said all along that she will do any and everything to not let this opportunity get past her, and she will.

The Klintoons have never lost at anything, and the way Hitlery sees it they aren't going to start now.

We *are* doomed.

I might actually have to go find a political campaign to work for in September instead of Target...

Richard< I actually admitted that I wanted to see Hillary as the Dem nominee rather than BHO.

WHY???

Because if he's not the nominee than we have NO chance of him winning the election (yes, there IS a chance that, when the election goes to the House he COULD be chosen, but lets not go to that town just yet)....
Hitlery is a LOT more vulnerable than BHO even WITH his gaffs and noobie fecklessness...
They will have to WORK to exploit her vulnerabilities where BHO can use his charisma/glamour/whatever the feck it is and gloss over it no matter WHAT the attack, and the Obamaniacs will eat it up and VOTE....

No they are not the same. Hillary is the devil we know. Osama is the devil we don't. Hillary will be as devisive as always and the end product will be a great, wonderful, keep-the-DC-monkeys-off-our-backs case of gridlock. Everyone will be falling all over themselves to not oppose a thing Obama wants lest the "R" word gets used. Hillary might even end up nominating a moderate to the supreme court. I doubt anything but the ultra liberal will come from OHB.

No, Hillary is the better choice for my money.

And I can't believe I am saying that.

It will be Obamanation VS McBush in November. Get used to it.

The nice part about them rioting is they usually burn down their own homes, businesses, and loot their local stores then they complain that they can't cash their welfare check so I say let them riot. This isn't a racist comment it is the truth just look at the LA riot.

All According to Plan

OK, I am going to take conspiracy thinking to the Nth degree. Before Obama became the Messiah, it seemed to me that Team Billary had singled this guy out as their chief rival. They made His Arrogance into the presumptive nominee by talking about him as if he were the only other candidate of substance--but they kept the race close enough so that superdelegates could still decide it. They did this for a reason.

Why would they go to all this trouble and risk potentially losing the race if things got out of their control? I believe they have had a canned scandal on Obama ready to go since the first day. Obama is a weak candidate who came out of the cesspool of Chicago politics. There is dirt yet to be revealed. Their payoff is the use of this race to reinstill the old Clinton terrorist control over the Democrat party. Notice the enemies list story that came out as soon as Obama seemed to have it wrapped up:

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0508/10715.html

This whole charade is nothing more than a loyalty test to the Clintons. As far those who jumped ship . . .

Activists Preparing Against Use of ‘Brown Note’ at Dem Convention
by Cristina Corbin
Tuesday, June 10, 2008

Political activists planning protest rallies at the upcoming Democratic Convention in Denver have their stomachs in knots over a rumor about a crowd control weapon - known as the “crap cannon” - that might be unleashed against them.

Also called “Brown Note,” it is believed to be an infrasound frequency that debilitates a person by making them defecate involuntarily.

Mark Cohen, co-founder of Re-create 68, an alliance of local activists working for the protection of first amendment rights, said he believes this could be deployed at the convention in August to subdue crowds.

“We know this weapon and weapons like it have been used at other large protests before,” he said.

Cohen, who described Brown Note as a “sonic weapon used to disrupt people’s equilibrium,” cited eyewitness accounts of its use during free-trade agreement protests in Miami in 2003.

“I think these weapons were mostly intended for military use and so their use for dealing with innocent protesters seems highly inappropriate,” he said. “The idea that they might be field testing them on people who are doing nothing more than exercising their first amendment rights is disturbing.”

His group is preparing against a possible attack by Brown Note and other crowd-control measures by dispatching street medics at the convention trained in treating injuries in demonstration situations.

“It’s all we can do,” Cohen said.

So is the Brown Note a real threat?

Dr. Roger Schwenke - an expert acoustician who appeared on the Discovery Channel’s “Mythbusters” in 2004 to test the phenomenon - told FOXNews.com there is no scientific evidence that proves such frequencies cause involuntary defecation.

“When we conducted the low frequency experiment for the Brown Note episode of MythBusters, we tested a variety of low frequencies and no involuntary gastro-intestinal motility was caused,” he said.

But Schwenke acknowledged the low-frequency exposure did cause an adverse effect. Several people — including himself — reported “abdominal discomfort,” he said, “which was easily alleviated by moving a moderate distance away from the source.”

Adding to the Brown Note rumor is a refusal by Denver’s Mayor John W. Hickenlooper to release details of what was purchased with $18 million of a $50 million federal grant the city received to pay for convention security, despite a lawsuit filed by ACLU.

Cohen’s group is calling on the administration to disclose what measures will be taken.

In a statement released to FOXNews.com, city spokeswoman Sue Cobb said, “commenting on specific security preparations is not helpful to ensuring their effectiveness. I can say, however, that all of our security-related purchases for the Democratic National Convention will comply with federal and City requirements. We are working closely with the U.S. Department of Justice to ensure that the $50 million federal security grant is spent on personnel and equipment in the manner required by the grant.”

Denver’s police Department wouldn’t comment on the tactics that will be used during the convention, but a spokesman said that “we do support and encourage people to express their views safely and in a manner that respects the rights of others along with the laws and ordinances of our city.”

But Glenn Spangnuolo, also with Re-create 68, isn’t taking any chances. He said he has no doubt that Brown Note exists, and is preparing his group for confrontation. “Whether it causes someone to defecate in their pants or not, I don’t know that,” said Spagnuolo. “What I do know is that it causes a person to be disoriented and lose their equilibrium resulting in a nauseous feeling in their stomach.”

More troubling to Spagnuolo is the “Active Denial System” or “ADS,” a ray gun used to send high levels of microwave frequencies that cause a burning sensation the skin.

He described ADS as an “indiscriminate weapon” and said “there’s no long-term testing on what happens to the body when exposed to those kinds of microwave frequencies.”

Spagnuolo believes that Raytheon, the company that manufactures the weapon, is planning to test a limited-range civilian version on protesters in Denver before approving its use in places like Iraq.

Spagnuolo said he believes tactics like these are excessive. “I think spending millions of dollars on weapon technologies to be used on people in our community is completely wrong,” he said

Posted by: MataHarley @ 2:51 pm in Barack Obama, Politics, The Clintons

Caught this via a Luciannne to Alegre’s Corner to Powerline link… all hitting the blogosphere yesterday.

Politico documents the DNC happy face is all but that under the surface. It appears that the DNC leadership is feeling left out in the cold with BHO not checking in to coordinate his campaign talking points with them. And as the party leadership smiles, their underling staffers are whining:

Privately, however, there is a different message coming from some Democratic quarters on the Hill and on K Street. Some Democratic leadership staffers complain that, having defeated the vaunted Clinton political machine in the primaries, the Obama campaign now feels a “sense of entitlement” that leads to “arrogance.”

One Democratic aide, speaking on the condition of anonymity, compared the Obama campaign unfavorably to President Bush’s administration.

“At least Bush waited until he was in the White House before they started ignoring everybody,” the aide said.

“These relationships matter,” said a House Democrat close to the leadership. “I really hope these guys try to get off on the right foot. We all know what happened to [former President] Jimmy Carter and [former President] Bill Clinton. We don’t want to see a repeat of that.”

But the DCCC’s exec director, Brian Wolffe, really lays out the BS - saying “… that some of the “supposed arrogance” coming from the Obama camp is in reality a misinterpreted sense of confidence in the campaign’s plan for winning the Oval Office, including grass-roots mobilization, in-state political infrastructure, messaging and get-out-the vote operations.

uh huh…

Our presidents are pre-selected for us by the global elite who spearhead the New World Order.

The Bilderberg Group have already chosen Hillary Clinton to be the next "Commander and Chief

Did Hillary attend the 2006 Ottawa Bilderberg meeting YES she did

Did Obama attend I don't think so

So I still say Hillary will make it.

Ice,

I was just about to post the same thing. I can't remember a name, but there is a guy floating around in "conspiracy land" who is supposedly CFR and has supposedly named the last x number of Presidents well in advance of their being elected. His name for this coming election was Hilary. I had heard this about 3-4 years ago.

Now I don't go around believing everything I hear, but if she pulls this out of the hat through superdelegates (or however), I'm going to have to lend some credence to the "CFR insider". And yes, it would get rather entertaining around this country if that happens. :popcorn1:

My view is that they're giving Obama enough rope - in the sense of time and confidence - to hang himself. He seems well on the way to doing a pretty good job of it.

Obamamania was an infatuation, not a lasting love. We all know how those affairs turn out...

If we absolutely have to have one of the three, the only one I can stomach even a little bit is Hillary.

guys, I've said this on many threads, and I'll back it up on this one. Denver won't have riots, repeats of 68, or any of the other crap. My company is one that will need to keep access available to the convention center, as well as the general area. When talking to several independant LE orgs, there are plans to have no less than 1200 LEO's on site, NOT COUNTING FEDERAL! Additionally, they are already building fenced in areas for protestors to do their thing, nowhere near the actual convention. And LE has taken over the Jefferson County Fairgrounds as a detention center.

Some will try, but I doubt very many troublemakers will get very far.
