Our legal system has very little to do with justice,
an absolutely correct statement
I will respectfully add the following observations to that discussion -
I will respectfully add the following observations to that discussion -
in a previous incarnation I often found myself compelled to spend an abundance of my time as an "expert" witness. at one point - and continuing for very easily a minimum of 10 years - I found myself in court testifying as often as 2-3 times per month and in deposition often as frequently as 3 out of 5 days per week. that's a LOT of "simple citizen legal/courtroom experience". in that role I learned two very important facts quite well and incredibly quickly; NEITHER of which IMPROVED my levels of FAITH, CONFIDENCE and BELIEF in the "justice" system here in ameriKKa:
1. there is NO SUCH THING as honest to goodness "justice" in America; rather it's who puts on the best dog and pony show; who can (afford to) hire the best (aka "shiftiest") mouthpiece; who can best voir dire and REMOVE the potentially "problematic (for their client) juror(s). facts NOT at all unlike the problems attendant to the concept of "equal opportunity employment" - but reciprocally so.
2. most "judges" (SPIT) are hard core political pawns - worried a great deal more about that cushy retirement package and its attendant "drop" benefit than they are about real honest to goodness common sense and or MORAL interpretation and jury instruction. not only did I personally experience this first hand but I have TARD-IN-LAWS that were BOTH judges for over 20 years.
I assure you - several of the discussions I've had with these alleged "jurists" would make you vomit and pull out your hair in clumps. BTW do NOT lose sight of the fact that those cushy retirements and the concept of "golden handcuffs" FLY IN THE FACE of "a jury of YOUR peers" and "equal justice under the law". and don't lose sight of the fact that those inflated pensions aren't a significant financial burden to growing numbers of municipalities as well as YOUR property taxes.
BTW - if you don't think that ultra cushy "retirement package" isn't a "golden handcuff" acting in a fashion to ensure a certain level of "compliance" regarding the "decision making and jury instruction process", is insignificant - you are TRULY one of the leading sheep in your flock.
ANY DOUBT regarding that last part is easily rectified simply by looking around this once great nation and recognizing what the SOROS APPOINTED DA's no "bail in and out policies" and the resultant effect have had on criminal activity. if you don't believe "jury instruction" is significant ask yourself why the concept of JURY NULLIFICATION is of such great concern to their system.
doubt the veracity of any of that? then ask yourself one simple question: just WHO is running the dog and pony show here in ameriKKa today?
