Perhaps the BEST thing we could do is largely become Dennis' filter.
If nasty posts break out, maybe there could be only a select few who would hit the report button, to get his attention. Dennis and other mods would then only have to monitor a much smaller fraction of threads/posts.
TB2K is basically my only source of news. The vast majority of threads I do not click on, as they don't have anything to do with my life. The war in Ukraine thread is a good example.
I deal with them every day unfortunately. They are at all levels of society. Had I not learned to be very self-controlled I would probably be doing life at Lowell Annex here in Florida (max security for women). People are by and large stupid to the point of failure to deserve their existence. Oh well. God is allowing this situation to bring something to a head I suppose. So I let Him control the wheel. Just because there are certain idiots that think they are in charge doesn't mean they are correct.
At the moment - till they outlaw them - and they will.

You need to distance yourself mentally from current events. It's about to get weirder, uglier, and more stressful than you can possibly imagine. I STRONGLY suggest reading Selco Begovic's The Dark Secrets of SHTF Survival. It's not a how-to manual of mechanics like water storage and perimeter security. It is, instead, primarily about the mindset needed to deal with your normal world falling into continual danger, primal violence, and total destruction.
Bottom line: those who can steel themselves psychologically and adapt to their world torn asunder will survive. Those who can't, won't.

I truly sympathize with good landlords.
While there are many many decent people who rent, overall the people who own their homes appear to have more motivation and discipline in their lives. If they own it, they will generally try to take care of it. Since they likely would like to stay in the same place, as their neighbors also would, it makes a lot of sense to treat the neighbors kindly.
There are enough people out there who care nothing about anything other than themselves and what's theirs. I imagine that many do not make good renters, nor neighbors. Perhaps they see themselves as being ever transient, with no need to be connected to any current surroundings.

There are a lot of people like that everywhere. Not just people who rent. People in government and I'm not just talking about those that float to the top. A lot of gov clerks are megalomaniacs of one flavor or the other and yet others who are so apathetic it is a wonder they even bother showing up for work. There are decent people out in the world, save your energy for them but don't expect paybacks or pay forwards. Lots less heartache that way.

I got up this morning and realized, I am still here. So obviously God's plan for me is still in play. I guess I can take comfort in that I was chosen for this particular place and time. I sincerely hope that when my part comes, I will have the strength and wisdom to carry it out.
Every one of us has a line in the sand, a breaking point beyond which there is no return. I don't think I've hit mine yet, but I often ask...is this it Lord? I haven't heard a "Yes" yet, so until that time I will make some popcorn, pop a cold Coke and watch the show. There are somethings that I CAN control and somethings that are totally out of my control. I'm not going to stress over the things I have no control over. I'm putting those things into some very capable hands. If He needs me to help, He knows where to find me.
That being said (fair warning), if you touch or harm one of my precious grandbabies, this grandma will go berserker on you. I've had a great life and will not mind in the least to take a few out with me.

Few people like the bullshit going on, this includes many dems. But we've got to keep our cool, for if we go off prematurely it will mean jail time or being dead. Keeping a cool head keeps ones senses and sensibility very keen so if something really bad does happen, we will have a better idea what to do. In times of war or other disaster, I'd say the emotionally distraught are the first to perish. Those fully aware of what's going on with a plan of sorts will survive.

I don't believe that many of those gov workers are apathetic. I believe they have to lay low, or their lives would be made a living hell by their superiors. Or worse, their jobs would get cancelled.

Red delicious apple season kicks off this Sunday in SW lower MI. The hailstorms did a number on the crop this year, apparently, but hopefully there will still be some good ones around.

Exactly! There's always something to enjoy. Yes, the problems will still be there, and still need consideration and monitoring, but they should not consume your whole day's thinking or one will literally go insane. That's why we need to focus on the enjoyments of life more than the depressing shit, if for no other reason, to maintain sanity.

Oh, last year was great. I got in early on the Red Delicious harvest; one apple I got was almost the size of a Coke can. Sweet as candy, too. I hope they're anywhere NEAR that good again.

I get stressed at times but I have to tell myself God is in control, I’m not But have wanted to allow my anger to get the best of me. I get out in nature enjoying the little bit of beauty we have left. Watch the birds eat from my window and tell myself God takes care of them and I am as well. I get enjoyment from my dog and cat and love them as much as I can. Take walks with my dog. They have no idea other than what they sense in what your feeling. The people drive like nuts on the roads and I stay home more and try to avoid the times when the streets are the busiest. I read holocaust books because I want to know how people survived all this and tolerated all that they did and yet some persevered while many did not. And I have to start reading my Bible but Satan keeps interfering! I refuse to be on Satans side!

I’m currently on a pretty decent dose of steroids for sinus infection. Last night I pretty much went off into “I’m more pissed and dangerous than you are” land.
Box cutter, check. All those freaking Chewey boxes, check. I tore down boxes for a while with extreme vigor. Then cut them smaller for good measure. That finally took the edge off.
What really ticked me off? The person in the room going “you’re going to cut yourself.” Oooooo. Told him that I had worked on extremely dangerous farm equipment since the age of five and was quite sure things would be FINE! I was totally OUT of control. But the box destruction was therapeutic and then “they burn better if they are left whole.” A voice rather unlike mine said, I’m NOT BURNING THEM.
Almost had to acquire a sharper blade to be more humane. Lol. But I am seriously on edge. But I did get a lot of the WHY DO WE SAVE THE BOXES FOR 20 YEAR OLD STUFF out of here and intend to continue.
On the other hand, I think it’s time to hide the TP again because we are running low on my designated stock levels. I will decide this later.

The country continues to drift deeper down the porcelain facility as the politicos, the permanent deep state, judiciary, bankers, media and the rest of those dedicated to the New World Order leftists' model have continued to destroy every good part of the republic and the morality of the people. The pace has now increased to daily doses of oversteps, lies and multiple tiered justice.
With each new overstep and imposition of the "right of the state" to dictate and the collapse of the citizens into acceptance of the removal of the God Given Rights memorialized in the Constitution, I thought we are there and they would stand up like men and fight, as a whole we've rolled over and said not now.
Frankly IMHO the uprising isn't going to happen. Instead it will be the continued collapse of the American experiment we older ones grew up in into a government that does the will of the handful of elites and forces the people to submit or die.
Nothing short of the total collapse of the hard infrastructure that enables the citizens today will move them into action of any kind short of electronic farts on the few avenues of expression that they are allowed.
