Misc What law would you ask Trump to pass?

Simple questions, but I hope some give give good answers...

If you could get President Trump to pass one law by executive order, what would you ask him to pass?
Please keep in mind, what ever it is, you know the liberals and democrats will find a liberal judge to rule it is unconstitutional just because Pres. Trump did it, so Pres. Trump will have to be able to prove it is Constitutional.

The Executive Branch is not empowered to make law. Since EO's are not law, this is irrelevant.
If EO are are not laws, then why do people get punished for breaking them? Also, this is suppose to be hypothetical, not real. It is not like I am going to get to as Trump to pass anything.

you do not think we have enough laws already?
are you a liberal?
Trump is trying to restore our rights, but to do that, he has to pass laws nullifying the laws that limit our right. Why is this so hard to understand?

I am disappointed in the responses, but I guess not many ever given this any thought. I sure have, and if I could get just 1 law passed it would be this one.

Constitution Restoration Act.
This law would make it possible for anyone, regardless of income, to challenge a uncontitutional law, without having to pay out $100,000.00+ in cash to a constitutional lawyer. Instead, the lawyer would be paid, in full, by the level that passed the law.
This would mean if a state passes a law that is unconstitutional, and a person is arrested for violating that law, they do not have to just accept that their rights are gone forever because they can not afford to pay $100,000.00 to a lawyer. Instead, they just have to say that the law is unconstitutional, tell how it is, and that they wish to challenge it. If they are correct, then a constitutional lawyer will be told, and they can decided if they want to take the case.
Then the state has to pay for the lawyer to defend against a law the state passed, and have the law removed.
If the law if federal, then the federal government has to pay to defend against the law they passed and have the law removed.
If the law is ruled to be unconstitutional then it is removed from the books, and all people incarcerated for it are to be released.
To prevent rapist, murders, and others from abusing this, there are 2 protections.
1) The lawyers can reject the case, and the inmate continues to face their charges.
2) If it is challenged, and loses, the inmate automatically receives the maximum punishment for their crimes, as a form of punishment for trying to manipulate the system.

This is the law I would ask President Trump to pass. I am sure there are 100 flaws in it, but I am not a lawyer and do not know how to properly word a law.
This would make it possible for all American people to defend their constitutional right, and restore their freedoms.

The problem here is the state and feds have no money...it is all taxpayers’ money. Perhaps if their lawyers had to work pro bono?
I see I made a mistake in my explanations. I did say I was not good at it.
When I said the state would have to pay for it, I should have said the state government. The ones who would pay would be the ones who pass the unconstitutional law. It should not have to be the paid by the tax payers.
My thinking on this is that the elected officials would be less likely to pass random laws, if they knew they would have to personally pay the lawyers fees to get those laws removed.
Although the lawyer would be paid in full as soon as they took the case, the money would be taken out of the elected officials paychecks till the lawyers are fully paid.(not sure how that could work, but I am sure there is a way)
I suspect that it would not take many cases to reduce their pay to nothing, and then they would be in a hurry to get rid of the unconstitutional laws so they could start getting paid again.

Congress and all government employees must follow and be under the exact same laws that they pass and enact for the people, no special exemptions of any type

… no more special I can inside trade because I'm in Congress

… no more special treatment by the police, you or your kids go afoul of the law, get treated the same as the poorest citizen

… no more special retirements, nope- social security for all government employees including congress critters, executive branch and judicial

… no more special paid insurance for government employees or elected officals, all on the available insurance policies or Medicare with the rest of the people

… no more franking privilege's, paid for trips aboard by lobbyists, no more free hair cuts, no more paid for travel back and forth, no more housing allowances for congress critters

... no more of the kids tagging along on Air Force two and using their parent's influence to get rich

… the list goes on and on

It was a hard choice to come up with only one

.... because Term Limits, Campaign contribution payoffs elimination, special deals for their own financial gain tucked away in bills and 100rd's more these greedy elites have made legal for just them also need to be placed as conditions of employment by the American people for the Government toads

A new three part law.

Part one...Remove all laws on the fed and state books (including amendments) that where made after 1849.

Part two...Only tax payers can vote in any new laws. Any one who gets more than half their income indirectly or directly from government's tits need not apply.

And three... tax payers can give to charities instead of taxes to pay their dues.

Well, since this is more of a game than real, because as was mentioned, the executive branch does not pass laws - I will add mine. This would never be passed by EO though so this is the law I'd hope he'd sign into law the second it hit his desk:

TERM LIMITS FOR EVERYONE IN CONGRESS

1) why 1849? why that year? I looked online and did not see anything major about the usa. That was even before the civil war, so if we did go back that far, it would bring back slavery. A VERY bad idea.
2) bad idea. there are people who are American citizens and still do not pay taxes. The poor, the homeless, those on disability(like me), and some on retirement(my mother), if their income is low enough. Should they have to live under rules and laws that had no say in? that would be the very definition of taxation without representation.
3) This one I can understand, but not having any taxes would be better. Then there would be more to give to those in need.

1) yes IMHO, we need to go back before 1850. And slavery is factually not raaacist. It's a equal opportunity system. Would rather have a white blue collar thief slave working in my plantation. Than paying for their medical, room and board in prisons threw the taxes I pay!

2) just because your a poor disabled or to old to work American citizen does not make you my liability. Friends, family, churches and see My number (3) suggestion. I feel that my mother and father (family) is my liability, also my older neighbors. But that's just me. Granted.

Just saying.

You seem to be looking for someone to say something, that makes YOU go, yes yes that's what I'm talking about! But your not helping without the original post giving an example, however you did start doing so after we weren't getting it.

My ex-wife used to do this to me. "Tell me dear, what is your most secret wish" ... ME: "man I really wish I could eat a pepperoni pizza off your sisters tummy" and we were off.......

What the hell is up with spell checker... ok I just had to correct the auto-correct. It corrected "What the hell is up with spell checker" to What the hell iOS up with spell checker.

I am not looking for responses I agree with. In fact I do not agree with most of the answers (one wants to take away womans right to vote, and bring back slavery, another wants to pass a dozen laws that the public already has been asking for and Trump already knows we want), but those are what they posted.
My idea on this was simple. "If you could get just 1 law passed, any law of your pick, what would it be?" That was it, that was all.
I actually expected things like "the legal right to kill sex offenders", "the legal right to kill muslims refugees" "the legal right to kill illegals" I do not agree with any of these, they are just reasons to murder another human just because you do not like them.
I was hoping to see posts about getting rid of the federal reserve, or cutting all ties and kicking out the UN, or maybe even allowing the soldiers free rein to get rid of the terrorist training centers inside the USA without fear of legal trouble.

Simply put, I was hoping for responses that would ether restore our lost rights, or remove a threat that festers within the country. Weather or not I agreed with them is irrelevant.
but, as I said, not many have ever given this any though, so I guess I should not be surprised with the responses.

I understand, but many people(guys) don't like to do that.... hence my reply.

They do not want to think about how to take back their rights and freedom for themselves and their children?
No wonder I got disappointing responses, this site has become a collection of idiots.
Maybe the rioters are partly right, and we do need a fundamental change, just not the one they want.

I think there are more than a couple things to reconsider here. If you start reading more and posting more, another words- participate here you'll gain familiarity and better understanding of fellow members. Lots of members here value their privacy. Asking people to regurgitate their inner thoughts when you request it, might go against the grain. Also we have members and lurkers here that do not have TB2K's best interests....and are here to collect data of members & their thoughts and private opinions to their detriment. Since you've participated little, you're still a stranger.... that is evident by your low post count.

Not yanking your chain. But what I proposed would do all and then some that you just posted above, and that you wished for.

I muse with true freedom comes huge responsibilities for all citizens and as our founding fathers made sure of, by stating "all men are created equal" in that spirit... tax paying women and minorities would get the vote, right quickly in today's age.

Thinking it's you that may need to be more thoughtful.

Thinking you may need a fundamental change?

Anyone who thinks we would be worse off if we (tax paying, freedom loving, independent USA citizens) removed all of our bureaucratic laws made since 1850 where removed, needs to read up more.

Just saying.

You mean like welfare, the "educational" system, income tax, etc.? I don't recall anyone asking for my input before the govt demanded payment.
Yes, perhaps you need to delve deeper into your own beliefs, first.

Hmmmmm

Mostly in order of preference--one of the below:

1. Term limits for all Congress critters. 2 terms at most. Maybe a national vote for the top 5 Senators & top 5 House members in terms of their HUMILITY & SACRIFICIAL SERVICE TO WE THE PEOPLE. Then those 5 could have one extra term.

2. Line item veto for the President

3. Constitutional amendment declaring that any CONQUEST-take-no-prisoners "philosophy," political system that had DEATH OR CONVERSION as the only options for non-members would be outlawed in the USA and all such would be expelled back to their origins.

4. Before a person could run for congress, a scientific survey would have to be held in their local area and they would have to score in the top 3-5% on HUMILITY, Honesty & integrity among their area's leaders to be allowed to run for office.

5. I hate government involvement in much of anything but I don't know how to achieve the following without government involvement. No generating new babies before at least 2 years of marriage and an evaluation by a mental health professional that the marriage was solid, healthy etc. Attachment Disorder is destroying our society & culture and millions of lives. Must find a way to reign it in.

6. All children evaluated at age 3-4 for serious Attachment Disorder. Wholesale intervention for the family when it's found.

7. Routine roving review by common citizens chosen similar to juries of all judges for corruption, treason, etc. Those found to be guilty to be executed immediately.

8. Make it financially well rewarded & cool for youth to excel in all manner of endeavors. With lessons on how to manage the money well.

9. Socially, culturally, psychologically, spiritually destructive media & movies (e.g. snuff films, gore, human sacrifice, satanism, etc.) would be outlawed. How to define that would be tricky.

10. Help restore fathers & fatherhood to a lofty effective solid & productive place in the home. Not sure how such a law could be written.

packyderms_wife

Neither here nor there.
Term limits for congress critters. Instead of two year terms make them six and they can only do a total of 12 years! Ditto for their aids, etc.

Here are several of mine. Revoke women having the vote. Bring marriage law under contract law (you break the contract, you get BFed but good). Only recognize marriages involving mil personnel if the civilian spouse is put under military discipline for marital issues (go to JAIL for infidelity/fraud). Disallow known homos in the mil. Disallow changes in child custody/alimony while a serviceman is deployed.
Disallow women in the mil outside clerical and medical. Disallow any unit of government going into debt (no bonds, T-bills, underwriting loans, etc.). Revoke the Hart-Cellar Act and the various amnesties for illegal aliens since then, with anyone who got in under them having to go back, along with all their descendants. Being/becoming Muslim or communist gets you immediately deported for life. Minimum IQ to vote, serve on juries, etc., provable by solving a quadratic equation in the voting booth, say. When any product or service gets exported, exporter gets given a # of $1.00 certificates; those must be provided when anyone wants to import anything. Affirmative action for conservatives in college faculty -- no hiring any more nonconservatives at any department til that dept is over 40% conservatives. Top one would be that the Fed gov't is now proscribed from giving anyone, foreigner pr American, one penny except in exchange at market value for goods or services rendered to the Fedgov.

insert appropriate adjective here
I suggest, for every new law they remove 10 old ones.

Fewer laws, not more. Every law passed is another freedom lost.
