Chicken poop sprayed on fields is a smelly mess. There are chicken houses around here. Although no one near me farms that much anymore, hardly even grow a tomato plant.

At one time, we had a lot of chicken and hog farms in our community. They've all been closed down. The older owners got too old or died, and their children didn't want to keep them going. They still own the land, though. Farmers in our community still grow corn, soy beans, and cotton. Lots of cotton this year.

I've been looking all over the place and online for me a new fleece hoodie in brown or tan. I about gave up, until I remembered to look online at Blair.com. I've ordered from them in the past, but haven't in several years. I had forgot about them. I gave them a shot, and they had what I wanted in the right color and size. It's not a typical hoodie, but I like it. It was on sale, too. So, it's on it's way! YAY!

DH picked up a couple of boxes of commodities that came last month. We get which is called a soft can of chili and beef stew. I opened a pack of chili and warmed it well. It was too spicey for me, felt like it burned my mouth. The dog will eat it, she eats almost anything. I don't mean to be ungreatful, but if you can't eat it you can't eat it. I've got a lot of that chili and beef stew so I'll save it to share with people.

I'm adding my supplements back a few at a time. I just don't think I can start taking them all at once, just have to work up to it.

We haven't been to the grocery store in over a month, well, I guess its just me, DH went last week and got some frozen shrimp and a few other things. These are foods that he can prepare easily, he's cooking the shrimp in the oven. The shrimp from the grocery store is much cheaper than what we got at the local cafe. Although when we got that shrimp, it was very tasty. DH husband likes the grocery store frozen shrimp just as well, lots cheaper.

Cabin socks. Why have cold feet? I have 5 pairs now. Wm has them in 2 packs. I got a pack last year with sloths on 1 pair and pink with polkadots on the other, which I gave to my teen. This year I got every design of purple they have. If they come out with others, great. I will be looking for them for men and boys, too. No reason to suffer with cold feet, right?

Need to find some of small propane canisters for my Mr. Buddy single burner. I now have 5 ways to cook.

My neighbors have a greenhouse heater. It wasn't cheap.
What I did was, take old plastic milk jugs, paint them black, fill them with water, and line them around the outside walls. They heat up pretty well during the day. Usually, if it didn't get lower than the teens, it would keep the inside temp above freezing.

Culled quail today. Sent 14 birds to Camp Samsung. Overwintering 4 bevies of pharoah coturnix plus my 2 white A&M birds. Did I mention I got a breeding pair of cavies? Just one more option for meat on a tenth acre farm.

Oh, did I mention I got cavies? Yeah. I got cavies. Btw, I got cavies! Hey! I got cavies!

Okay. I'll stop now:D
